Digital Editions

I see this is not a new issue but it's not happened to me before.I have bought a number of books on the Kobo store but on this occasion I cannot open the .acsm file and get the Digital Editions error"Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR"I've recently bought a new laptop (Mac) and so I tried it on the old with no success.I've deactivated, deleted activation.dat and re-activated as well as un-installing DE and upgrading to 4.5.8.182914I'd welcome any thoughts on where to now......

I download an eBook from Google play as an ACSM file. I did choose to authorize it without an adove account. Can I Deauthorize it and add an account that link to it? Because I want to use the book in my tablet. Thank you for your answering!

I received the message there is some error getting license E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANTHER_USERWhat does it mean and how can it be fixed?Thanks in advance

Having the same problem on both ADE 3.0 and 2.0. Able to open the downloaded library book into ADE and copy the book to the nook. However when I eject the nook the books do not show on the nook screen. I can reconnect the nook to the computer and ADE shows that they are there. Any ideas?I have deauthorized the computer, reinstalled ADE, deleted the "digital editions" folder from the nook, reauthorized the computer,  copied the books back to the nook. They show in ADE. But when I try to find them on the nook, they are not there.

Having the same issue as reported by others yesterday and today. How did this crappy "product" become the standard?

Hi,I am trying to download an epub I bought today with Adobe Digital Editions. When I open the ascm file, I receive an E_LIC_LICENCE_SIGN_ERROR response from the server when the application tries to initiate the fullfill. Here is the error message I receive when the Fullfill is initiated :This happens only with this specific acsm file, on different computers. I tried on different computer, deauthorizing and authorizing my account on them, same result. I also tried to force remove the registry keys, following this post (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2180838) in order to deauthorize my account, didn't change anything.Does anyone have an idea how I can manage to download this epub ?Thanks!

I have a new computer with Windows 10 and my ebooks will no longer download onto my Kobo.  I get this message: CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED. 

How can I authorize my Digital Editons for Barnes and Noble eBooks when there is no such ebook vendor in the authorization applet?Adobe brags about supporting Barnes and Noble ebooks, but then they leave them out as a vendor. That really makes alot of sense!I'm trying to use Adobe Digital Editons on my Macbook to read ePubs, since Barnes is not updating their NOOK app to support Mountain Lion.

I download Digital Editions and during the install I get the message "Adobe Digital Editions has stopped working".I'm running the latest version of WIndows 10 (just bought new laptop today).I've tried downloading the file on both MS Edge and Chrome but no luck. I just can't get any further than the error message.Can anyone help?

Hi,So i downloaded adobe digital editions on my old laptop and ipad, butmy old laptop died so icant access it anymore. I just bought a new laptop and i cant access my e-books because it says i've reached the max device limit. I read online and i cant find anything to fix it. All it says is to sign in an erase the authorization. So is there any way to properly erase my authorization from my old laptop online?@

I am unable to open downloaded library e-books - I get the same message E_ACT_NOT_READY. Adobe says deauthorize the computer and re-authorize. But it will not let me deauthorize. I am using the correct Adobe ID and password. There is another option for account that reflects my library card number (cloudlibrary) but that requires a vendor ID that I don't have. Thoughts?

Hallo,ich verwende Trekstor Reader der ersten Generation (Hugendubel/Weltbild).Bisher konnte ich mit ADE Version 3.0 meine ebooks via PC downloaden und dann auf den Reader ziehen.Nachdem dies, s. oben, jetzt aktuell nicht mehr funktioniert hat, habe ichADE 4.5.8 heute installiert.Leider kommt bei meinen zuletzt in der vergangenen Woche gekauften Büchern (Format: EPUB, mit Kopierschutz)wieder diese Fehlermeldung - weder Kopieren noch Drag&Drop funktionieren.Ich will einfach nur meine ebooks auf unterschiedlichen Geräten lesen, ohne IT-Spezialist zu sein oder werden zu müssen!Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe!

Seit ich auf die Version 4.5.7 aktualisiert habe, wird nichts mehr angezeigt. Keine Bibliothek. Anwendungen reagieren nicht auf Klicks.  2 x Absturz in Windows 10.

HiIs it possible to find ID one used to initially to access ebooks?Have tried authorizing my computer, but in turn lost access to allready bougth products. Error code: "This computer needs to be authorized with a vendor ID to open *Title*. To start the authorization process with a vendor ID, click on the continue button."When I enter Adobe ID, this appears: "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Hallo,ich habe ein One Plus 5 T mit Androidbetriebssystem. Ich habe meine ADE mit der ID autorisiert.Wenn ich ein eBook herunterlade, ist es im Downloadordner. I keep getting the same error message on my Kobo Aura when I try to open a book that I have borrowed and downloaded from my public Library.  The error message is as follows:Oops! This document couldn't be opened. This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights management (DRM) and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign-in with the authorized Adobe ID and try again.Here are the steps that I have taken:1. De-authorized my deivce and computer. 2. Deleted the software (Adobe Digital Editions) from my computer and re-installed.3. Re-authorized my computer and device.4. Factory reset on my Kobo Aura.5. Contacted my support tech group from my Public Library and followed the steps given.6. Contacted Kobo support tech group and followed the steps given.This is my last option.  Any ideas what else I should be trying.HELP!Thanks. !

I have a Sony PRS350 which has been talking to Sony Reader for PC happily for years, i.e. AdobeID is set up and working. I have now had to purchase a new computer and, obviously, want this to support my eReader. However, when I try to authorise my computer with the Adobe ID details I use on the other setup, I get an error which is "Unable to authorise this reader. Contact Sony support" I want to understand why this is happening.Second, I want to know if I can get round it. Because it's a new PC, it's never been linked to the eReader, and the PC does not have an ADobeID. If I create a new AdobeID (does the eReader have to be connected at the time I'm doing this?) will this 'lock' all the books that I've previously put on my reader (obviously using the existing AdobeID).Thirdly,I've got a lot of books I've purchased, as opposed to borrowing from the local library. Am I going to be able to put these in the new Sony Reader for PC app (and read them) or are they permanently tainted with the

In the past 2 weeks, I have not been able to transfer any books to/from my Nook Glowlight 3. As soon as I connect the Nook and click on it, the app shits down. And when trying to transfer a book, it says "transferring" , but never does and the app gets frozen. HELP!! I've contacted B and N as well and nothing is helping. I even uninstalled and re-installed all different versions of ADE and nothing works.

Hello, I installed Adobe Digital 4.5 version yesterday. I authorized my computer with  Adobe ID and downloaded the free book for trial. Everything worked properly. Only after that, I used a token provided by the publisher for my purchased book, downloaded the book and I opened it successfully, everything was activated as expected. However, there was a problem with the text in the book (some formulas were not visible and readable properly). I was suggested to install the old version of Adobe Digital and problem would be solved-the text would appear in a proper way. Thus, I uninstalled the new version of Adobe Digital and installed the old one -Adobe 3 and it required some windows extra features that did not really worked on my computer. As it did not work at this time I tried with Adobe 4,5 again and everything still was fine. I was able to open a book(the text remained unclear in some parts of the book, though). I'm getting the above error message lately when trying to activate DRM on a Tolino e-book reader.Therefore I'd like to request resetting my DRM licenses.
