Digital Editions

Hello,I bought 4 books.With 2 books : no problem. I can open and read them.But with the 2 others... I can add them to my library but after I can do nothing.I tried to uninstall and reinstall ADE. I tried to delete my files and import them again. Nothing work.And now, when I installed again ADE, i have my ebook like 7 times here. But just can't read them. And I can't contact the support...What can i do?

Hallo, ich benutze den gratis Adobe Reader, beim Lesen in Aldiko gab es aber immer wieder weiße Seiten und fehlende Textstellen. Ich habe auf den blue fire Reader gewechselt, musste mich mehrmals anmelden mit dem Adobe Account  aber der Reader stürzte immer ab. Seither meldet Adobe nur: zu viele Anmeldungen und ich kann kein e Book mehr lesen!

I have downloaded ADE but cannot find a way to authorise my MacBook air.  Please help.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still can not get ADE 4.5.8 to open. I just sits and looks at me saying loading library. I have tried the previous suggestion of opening as admin but got the same results. I ran the program compatibility troubleshooter and it tells me that this is an incompatible program. 

I accidentally authorized a book with out an ID and now I cannot figure out how to authorize it with an ID. I need to be able to access this book from difference devices for school. Does anyone know how to do this? I looked under "help," but the option to authorize or erase authorization is not available... I am on a mac computer.

I purchased a book from Google Books, and I wanted to read the book when there's no internet connection, so I tried to download the book; that did not work.....then I downloaded Adobe Digital Edition, and when I try to download book off Google (either EPUBS or via PDF), Adobe Digital Editions is unable to import it. I receive a message that says: Unable to download   Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN.  What could be preventing Adobe Digital Edition from being able to open the file? I authorized my device to do so, after all.

i just purchased two books from bol.com and one from kobobooks. When i try to open them in my digital editions library (on my mac) i get this message: E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12. i did not have this problem before. what can i do to fix this?

I use Overdrive to borrow books from the library and ADE 3.0, as required by Nook, to side load the borrowed book to my Nook. Yesterday I download a book. In the Download folder, it shows as a .acsm file type. I double click on the download and ADE opens and fulfills the book; I can read the book in ADE. I look in File Explorer in My Digital Editions folder and the file type has been changed to .epub. I can move it to my Nook and I see the title in my Nook folder as an .epub. Of course, I can't open it on my Nook because it needs to be .acsm. I am using Windows 10Things I have done:Uninstall/reinstall ADE 3.0Unauthorized/reauthorize NookRan CCleaner file registry cleanerEnsured that .acsm and .epub file types are associated with ADEAny help is appreciated.

I got the E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY error so I followed thisError "E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY" | Digital Editions | Mac OS X Somehow my digital editions key disappeared from my Keychain Access. How do I get it back? I have tried to reinstall adobe editions 4.5 and 4.0 and I have tried to remove the activation.dat file /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions.Anyone know how to get it back?

I have Googled and search forums here and there and tried resolving the issue on my own but I still keep receiving the error message when I try to open up the file for my classroom.Any luck? I have de-authorized and authorized my computer multiple times.Thank you!

I authorized a previous computer without an Adobe ID, so I am unable to de-authorize previous computers. I no longer have access to that computer either. I am unable to open books that I previously purchased from Google. I have downloaded the ACSM file, but ADE gives me this message: "Unable to download: Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem. E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED.I have an ID now, but I can't access my previous purchases.

can anyone help, please?My auto download is not workingI purchased books on Adobe digital editions and they are not existing on my mobile

Hi, peoples!At my computer I have no problem opening acsm-files via Digital Editions, but if my wife tries the same at her computer (Windows 8.1), when she tries "open with default program" and she clicks on ADE, she gets a little window in which she can only choose "uninstall ADE" or "Cancel". Tottally rediculous!!!Can anybody please help us out?!!!   Already tried to unauthorize and authorize several times, uninstall and install ADE again, but to no avail...Thanx in @dvance

Both myself and my wife have kobo e book reader I have recently purchased a new model and although it will download books from my wifes account it will not download from mine. It shows the message device not authorised but when I try to authorise it tells me it is already authorised.It is very frustrating any help would be gratefully received.Regards Cyril Cox

When I download a book from adobe digital reader toward my kobo book, I only see a black book cover without any images and I can't open it.  I get a message I can't read it because it doesn't have the authorisation, which I already have given it.  What is wrong?

Using ADE to borrow books from the library.  I keep getting errors on a pair of downloads recently added.  I've used this app for a long time and had seen similar issues before, so knew how to troubleshoot from previous experience.  At least, I thought I did.  No matter how many times I remove (ePub content/the app), reinstall (the app), re-register (the reader), re-download (the ePub content), re-upload (ePub content), it keeps giving me errors and the books keep appearing in the 'on loan' list, even though I have both "Return[ed] Borrowed Item" and "Remove from Library".  On top of that, I can't transfer the books to my eReader.  Help!  this is driving me insane.

Hi all,I just try to understand onleihe, i csan open the book on my PC in my adobe editions, but when i transfer it to my PocketBook the trouble is starting. the PB is authorized, it is visible in the settings as a connection, internet working. but after transfering the book and trying to open the e book, there is this error message: "Falls sie bereits eine Adobe ID haben oder erstellen wollen, gehen sie in gehen sie bitte in die Einstellungen um ihr Gerät zu aktivieren."but it is activated can anyone help me?

Hello.  I am having trouble with Adobe Digital Editions, and receiving the error message : Unable to Download, Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem. E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHEDI cannot transfer my Google Books to my ereader due to this error message. And it occurs no matter if I use ADE 2.0, 3.0, or 4.58. Is there any way to reset my account.  I need only 3 licenses. Help is appreciated.

Dear Adobe community, The library won’t display the cover pages of my ebooks in the adobe digital edition app. It is simply a blank page or half a page. Is there any way to fix it?Thank you!Sara

Mijn echtgenoot en ik hebben allebei een account bij Adobe, omdat we beiden een e-reader hebben. Nu is Digital Editions geïnstalleerd op de laptop (we hebben 1 laptop) en het enige account dat daarbinnen gebruikt kan worden is dat van mijn man. Hoe voeg ik nog een account toe?ik zie bij "help" alleen de optie "autorisatiegegevens" en daar staat dat de computer al geautoriseerd is voor mijn mans account. Dat is het standaardaccount. Maar ik zie geen optie om nog een account toe te voegen.

OK - I have tried downloading another book from my Library.1. Up comes the box with 'View Downloads - Internet Explorer ' in top left corner.2. Book Title is there with options and if i select Open-3. Another box with a warning shield (with explanation mark on it) saying 'A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer. Something like - Activex Interface Marshaling LibrarySo - in the past - When I download epub book, from library, I could double click ascm book file - it would open immediately in to Adobe Digital Editions and when I had my Kobo connected I could just drag and drop the book onto it.Question - what must have I done to stop this working like it used to?

es gibt scheints keine mögliche Fehlerquelle mehr -es funktioniert trotzdem nicht. Seit Tagen ärgere ich mich mit Adobe herum. Weiß jemand die LÖsung? Salve a tutti. Sono nuovo del forum.in precedenza avevo Adobe Digital Edition 3.0 su Windows XP, ed avevo acquistato 8 libri.Ora ho anche un altro computer con Windows 10, su cui ho installato la versione 4.5; con mia sorpresa però, nonostante abbia effettuato l'autorizzazione del nuovo computer con lo stesso account Adobe, la nuova versione 4.5 di Adobe Digital Edition su Windows 10, non mi fa vedere nessuno deglio 8 libri acquistati che continuano però ad essere visibili sul computer con Windows XP con la versione 3.0.Qualcuno può aiutarmi a risolvere questo fastidioso problema?Grazie anticipatamente a coloro che potranno/vorranno contribuire a darmi una mano!!!Francesco

Ik wil mijn oude boeken op de nieuwe laptop lezen d.m.v. gebruik te maken van reader voor pc of een dergelijk programma,maar sommige boeken vereisen een adobe id.Ik ben mijn wachtwoord vergeten en het e-mail adres is inmiddels ook veranderd, waardoor ik niet meer kan inloggen.wie weet een oplossing hiervoor???

I've gone onto my Harlequin account today after years , so due to the new computer I've got I had to download the Adobe digital edition again , and noted that my password was not working , so created another , now I'm unable to verify my computer on the adobe digital edition as it keep on stating : The Vendor account you entered is not associated withe the item you are trying to open  , please help , I can't remember any previous passwords[Moved from the non-technical Lounge to the specific Program forum...
