Digital Editions

Digital Editions still refuses to open books I have purchase from Kobo. Further, it now refuses to open the splash page, showing books previously downloaded.So, for the THIRD time, can someone please explain what hoops I have to jump through to get this thing working again?And of course, my ORIGINAL problem, that I could not get it to open a specific book I'd purchased? Anyone have a clue?For your information, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, multiple times, with Versions 2, 3, and 5. NONE of them are working for me.

I just downloaded the new digital editions and I am having difficulty downloading a book from a website where this book was approved to digital editions. I am new to this software and am unsure on how to begin using it. Any help, advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.

When I updated from 4.5.6 to 4.5.7, suddenly my entire library disappeared, including all the bookshelves (including All Books, Purchased, Borrowed, etc.). When I double-click on an epub file, it opens ADE but does not display anything. When I add a new bookshelf, it shows as Untitled Bookshelf 1, but the title above shows All Items. When I add another, it shows Untitled Bookshelf 2, but the title shows Not Read ... If I keep going, the titles above all the Untitled bookshelves show all the missing default bookshelves. However, none of the bookshelves is populated with the books that were there before upgrading.Once I've added back the bookshelves, I can add the books to the shelves from the My Digital Editions directory. I can then open the books to read them. However, if I exit ADE and restart it, all my shelves are gone again!

Hello, Just in the last week all 3 of our computers are doing the same thing. We open Adobe Digital Editions and get a Blank Screen. You can not see books / bookshelves or the library. There are definitely books there that we have borrowed & downloaded from the Public Library. But we can't see them to be able to read them. Nor can we see our E-Book Readers when we connect those to the PC.I tried to Unistall & Re-Install ADE on one of the Laptops and it worked for one night. The next day we were back to a blank screen. So I tried to Unistall, Rename the "My Digital Editions" Folder to "My Digital Editions.Old" then Reinstalled ADE. Again, it worked for one night and the next day we were back to a blank screen. This is obviously very frustrating and since it is happening on 3 different computers I can't blame the computer! Does anyone have any suggestions. We are going on a holiday in a few weeks time and want to be able to have Library Books loaded onto our E-book Readers / Lapt

Previous to this week's newest update to adobe digital editions, my textbook (ironically, a photoshop textbook) worked fine.  After the update, all pictures diagrams and background colors appear as grayscale pixelated static mixed with black bars or occasionally tiled grayscale fragments of the original image.  I have already uninstalled/reinstalled Digital Editions as well as the textbook, but neither of those options seems to work.  Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue? 

I want to connect 2 e-readers to one adobe ID via Adobe Digital Editions.Autorisation of the second e-reader failed. First we thought that it was related to the e-reader so we returned it to the shop and got a new one.Also autorisation of that one failed. We tried what would happen when both would be connected to the computer at the same time. Still that did not worked so we tried what would happen when we would remove the autorisation for the first (working) e-reader. Unfortunatly after that also the first e-reader could not autorisied anymore.The two e-readers are of the same type. Pocketbook 626. One is shown in Adobe as "PB626". The other "Pocket626".Any suggestions to solve this?

I recently upgrade to version 4.5.7 of ADE after an upgrade of W10 to the fall update of W10. Now it's been 2 weeks and I suddenly discovered that ADE freezes when I try to download an eBook.The only thing to do is to restart ADE then it works one time and the next eBook same problem and new restart.When will this be solved or is there a solution?

Ich wollte nach längerem mal wieder ein ebook über die Onleihe lesen. Beim Versuch, die heruntergeladene Datei zu öffnen, erhalte ich die o.g. Fehlermeldung. Gleiches gilt für ebooks, die hier auf Adobe angeboten werden. Seit über 1 Stunde suche ich nach einer Lösung. Die Löschung der Autorisierung - wie in einem Forum vorgeschlagen - ist auch nicht möglich. Ich nutze ein MacBook und bin für jeden Hinweis dankbar, wie ich das Problem beheben kann.

I can't get a book to open in Adobe Digitial Editions. It is THE LIFE OF REASON by Georges Santayana, which I purchased from Kobo. Instead, I get an error message, which reads:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_USER_AUTH.And this is the SECOND time I've asked about this. How about an answer, this time.

I am trying to use Digital Edition for the first time and keep getting the error message E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED.

I use ADE on a PC, Windows 10, on a Tab, Android 6.0, and on a Galaxy S5, Android 5.0. Since 20.11.17 after a Windows 10 update on sunday I see only a white book with white pages after importing a DRM ebook. The import of none DRM books is ok on all devices. The Tolino App works also probably on all devices. I have only a problem with ADE. The ADE Service said the number of logged in devices is ok. What can I do. Thank you for helping

Hi there.I am having issues accessing in full a book I purchased 2 years ago. It is an Adobe Digital Editions book (a dictionary) and all I can see is the front page but I cannot access the rest of the book or search it.How can I access the rest of the book?I also cannot remember my login details (nor do I remember ever setting any up). Do I need them for this?I only have the a .acsm file saved on my PC.Any help is much appreciated.

I find this disadvantage hallucinating! digital editions are free and therefore you can not contact NONE in case of need hours and hours on the site with forums and pre-set answers. I use a PC, 2 tablets (one personal and one working) and two cell phones (idem) . If you lose or steal my tablet or cell phone I'm done: With the new device I can not download DRM ebooks because there is a counter that blocks you over six permissions.E act_too_many_activations!I am willing to buy the license because this way ends this way crucis! is given to use for free, but since you pay, do not I support you? After updated Digital Editions from v4.5.6.177148 to v4.5.7.179634 today, some figures (like a flow-chart) in PDF documents are not displayed normally. (Some shapes and texts are missing in a figure.)I've tried to display it with using zoom-in and zoom-out feature but doesn't help.Does anyone have an idea to solve it?Or if possible I want to downgrade the Digital Editions app to the previous version. I bought a business ebook a while ago and it was working fine. when I tried to open it today it didn't open. I am attempting to download an ebook from my public library's OverDrive site. I have installed Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 and authorized my computer with my Adobe ID.When I go to the website, then I download the book as an EPUB eBook and it comes up in my downloads on my computer. However, when I click on it and try to open it, ADE opens but the book doesn't. Instead, I get a pop-up saying: Unable to downloadError getting license. I bought a NiV bible to read on Sony PRS 300.  I have created Adobe ID.  I have forgotten my password.  I have my purchased copy of bible is available to transfer to Sony reader.  When I try to sync it is asking for Adobe ID and Password.I tried to create new Adobe ID and Password in ADE, it is not giving any choice to create new ID.Can someone help me please?

Since upgrading to Windows 10 (from Windows 8.1) I get the message "Error! Check Attivation!" when attempting to add a DRM book to ADE.  My ID/password still work work for my Android device and my online account.  I also cannot deauthorize the computer without a functioning ID/password.

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the digital editions even going back to ADE3 but still no success.Is this a general problem with Adobe or am I alone in this.I should point out that these problems have only been experienced since moving from Sainsburys books to Kobo because I have a Barnes & Noble Nook E reader but have managed to download many books until the last month or so when things started to go wrong.Im desperate for an answer, so if anyone can help....please let me know soon as possible
