Digital Editions

Few months ago, I tried to change my Email address in my Adobe account. Since then I can't enter in my account.I chatted with someone from Adobe and he told me that any account existed with my address. But I still use my Adobe ID to buy and to borrow books, and when I look in the ID info section of my DAE, I see my ID (which is not suppose to exist!). I don't know what to do, the chat guy didn't want to help me further. I have a lots of books that I bought with this ID, so I don't want to create a new account.

When activating the .acsm file for a book I bought from the Kobo store (no matching vendor under the eBook Vendor dropdown), I initially chose to activate the book without an ID. Subsequently, I tried to copy the ePub file from my Digital Editions folder to my Sony Reader but I couldn't read it there because it was protected by DRM. I tried de-authorizing and then re-authorizing using an Adobe ID but then I couldn't open the book at all. It says "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again." I found another thread where Adobe Staff suggested trying to authorize the book using the original credentials. So I've since tried re-authorizing without ID and it still won't open. I've completely lost access to the book I just bought!

Hi there,I am having trouble opening a book that I had previously purchased on the same computer. I am in a different country than where I purchased the book, but its the very same laptop. When I tried to open the book it said. "This computer needs to be authorized with a Vendor ID to open Streetsmart Financial Basics for NonProfit Managers. To start the authorization process with a Vendor ID, click the continue button."I don't think I set up an Adobe Id when I bought the book 2 months ago. So, I went through and set one up, but it says "! The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again."Any suggestions as I need to access my textbook right away for my course.Thanks,Misty

I had an IRiver ereader and purchased scores of books with them through W H Smith.  I've been able to transfer some from the SD card onto my new laptop but not all.  I cannot find WH Smith in the vendors to link to it.Can anyone help, please?

Hello,I need to open an NCLEX Review book. I can see the book in my Adobe Digital Editions but when I try to authorize the book this is the error message I am getting, " The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try Again."Ive uninstalled Adobe from my computer and reinstalled it and im still getting the same response. I have contacted Adobe and my computer and account are verified. Today I had my computer re-imaged and now I am unable to authorize my computer for my etext. When trying to log in with the account used to purchase the etext a message pops up stating, "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again." Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Digital editions is set-up and accepting books.  Everything seems fine except when I try to open the books, it asks for authorisation.  I enter the Adobe ID which works when I go into the Adobe site, but gives me the error "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open.  Please try again".  How do I fix this?

installed eBook and authorized on Adobe Digital Edition and was able to read eBook earlier. Due to some issue I had to reinstall the eBook. Now I am unable to read eBook it is asking for Authorization and when I input my Adobe ID and pass it gives message 'The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open .Try again'.I have wasted whole day trying fixing but it does not work, i wasted my money for purchasing eBook that works on Adobe Digital Edition which only adds complexity and wasting peoples time.Is there anyone who can help answering how can I fix vendor account not associated message issue, while i am entering correct Adobe ID and pass.

I've bought a book on Kobo. I've gone to re-download it via Digital Editions. Apparently my license has already been fulfilled. I have been on to support with Kobo, they reset my licenses from that end. I still can't download the book. I only have one Adobe account. Also have been kept waiting on the chat for an hour only to be re-directed here. Seriously crappy customer service.

ADE - KOBOeReader is connected correctly, but I can't see bookshelves on my KoboeReader, so I'm able to send my ebooks to device, but not torequired bookshelf.

Hi,I have problems erasing the authorization-ID at Adobe Digital Editions.It says: "Enable to Erase Authorization. Try again later". What should I do?

Can I authorize two ADE accounts to the one computer at the same time? How do I do this? My old computer had 2 accounts shown under authorization information with one ticked as the default.

Hi! I just have a problem with mi laptop and I had to erase everything. Now I trying to open a book again (after downloading from the Oxbow page again), but it said that I need an authorization "related to an ID" to read it, but when I downloaded originally I chose the option without the ID, there is any way to use open it?Thanks beforehand

Hello,Just downloaded Digital Editions and it will not authorize for me. It keeps giving me an error:Code: E_Auth_Not_ReadyI downloaded on Monday night and was getting the error. I hoped after verifying my account this would stop but it did not. Please help!

Is there anyone who can reset my id ? It seems I've got 6 devices registered when if fact I only have 4 one of which I can no longer use

We have been discussing this topic for a while in the German Onleihe User Forum, but nobody seems to be able to resolve it.As it looks right now, everybody with Mac OS X 10.11.2 (or the latest release of Yoseimte aswell) get the same kind of problem when downloading (fulfilling) epub books from the "Onleihe" (which is the provider for eBooks for most of German libraries): Books are downloaded succecssfully (as it seems), the progress bar advances until the end, but then the application just doesn't do anything more. The only option is to forcefully close ADE. This happens both with ADE 2.0 and 4.5, but apparently not with 1.7.2 (which is outdated and cannot be downloaded officially from Adobe anymore).We dug into what could be the reason for this failing, and ended up with the Mac OS X security update from mid December; after installing this, is seems that the problems started to occur. I am unable to sign into Digital Editions with my Adobe username and password on my Mac. Digital Editions has me logged in as my library card number so I am unable to authorize my computer to download books. When I do download books using the library card account I cannot open them on my Nook. Please help me.

I´m using the latest operating system on my Macbook pro and have successfully downloaded the latest version of Adobe Digital Editions for Mac.When downloading newspapers from my public library, the download bar goes all the way through to the end - and then freezes.What can I do? Hello,I got some issues with downloading the books I lend from the public library.The download starts.... and never finishes. Although the book is copied already in the "digital editions" folder.So I have to force digital editons to quit but on the next start my book isn't there just the download link to the public library.I'm running digital editions on a iMac with macOS Sierra 10.12.1Any suggestion would be very much apreciated.

Why is Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 not working properly with MacOS High Sierra, Sierra, El Captain? When in want to download a book with a link from my local bookhall, the progress bar in ADE stops at the end and then ADE is freezing. Everytime! There are many complaints in the Internet from costumers facing the same issues since years!Adobe, please fix your software.

I get the following message: "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn’t previously been used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Please try again." How do I solve this problem?
