Digital Editions

I was advised by Kobo to return to Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 for downloading library content to my early model Kobo reader.I uninstalled ADE version 4 and attempted to use my previously installed (and still present) version 3.0 but then started getting "Error! Check Activation" messages that I think come from ADEI have now uninstalled all ADEditions from my system (ADE 2.0. 3.0 and 4,.54)But now I cannot find Adobe Digital Editions 3.;0 on the Adobe website!  I know I saw it somewhere on the website a week ago, but cannot find it now.Help!

When attempting to download/open a newly purchased pdf, I get the error message "Check Activation".  Not sure where to go from here....anyone have suggestions? C

I keep having activation problems on only one laptop.Anyone have a sollution to this problem?

Hi,I work for a Higher Education institute and we are looking to deploy Digital Editions to our shared, open-access PCs.  I'm aware that ADE needs to be authorised with an Adobe ID before DRM-protected e-books can be read, and that an Adobe ID can be associated with a maximum of 6 devices.When it comes to students using their own devices (e.g. mobile, tablet and laptop) there isn't an issue - they can simply create an Adobe ID and authorise those devices with that ID.However, we also need to offer our students the option to read e-books on our open-access PCs and this is where individual Adobe IDs aren't appropriate. A student could potentially log onto many different PCs over the course of a year, and a single PC will be used by hundreds of students. So how do we authorise individual PCs in this context?Any help/advice would be much appreciated.Thanks,Paul

I have used Digital Editions in my classroom for several years. I have relocated to Vietnam, new workplace, and cannot seem to bring ADE with me to a new Macbook computer.I've even deleted the old program, and let all the existing resources there go to try to get a platform that works in my new place.I've used a few browsers.. but the same error message result is this error message. No idea how to fix it! The login to Adobe>>Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYWhat does this mean? How can I fix it? The login to Adobe ID has grabbed an additional detail, which is no longer my ID.. but I cant get to it to delete that detail. Round in circles.Can anyone please advise how to get this otherwise very good program going for me??Thanks, Debbie

Recently our company has started to purchase ebooks in *.acsm format.In error took the easy route and created a standard Adobe ID, however we have found that it is not adapt to a mid / large company environment and we really need to be in a position to purchase and share the various ebooks.I have performed many searches but the only information that I have found is this blog  How do I create an Enterprise ID However it does not provide an y real information on what is required or the costs. For example do we really need to sign a Creative Cloud for Enterprise ETLA? What options are there? Any assistance would be much appreciated

Hi guys, i've get an error in the opening of a book purchased on the google play books. I've alredy contact the google assistance and i follow their instruction but they don't work , so they tell me to contact the adobe assistance. The error is as follows "E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN".

Et depuis ce temps, même à la maison, impossible de consulter le doc.Je précise que j'ai même désinstallé ADE de ma machine au domicile pensant régler le problème et jusque là, impossible de lire le fichier.Quelqu'un pourrait il m'aider à ressource ce problème ou à contacter le service client?Merci par avance.

ik heb eerder al Adobe Digital Editions gedownload maar nu wil ik een boek van de bibliotheek downloaden maar krijg ik de melding: Error! Check activation.Ik heb hem al opnieuw gedownload. Firewall uitgezet voor deze app. ik heb hem geprobeerd te re-autorized maar dan moet ik later proberen en dan zegt hij dat mijn wachtwoord niet goed terwijl die wel werkt op site. Weet iemand hoe ik hier vanaf kan? Ik wil het liefst vandaag nog boeken downloaden voor mijn moeder die morgen op vakantie gaat.Alvast Bedankt

receiving this message when I  try to download books from the library onto my KOBOYOUR EREADER IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO OPEN THIS BOOKI've deauthorized & reauthorized my PC - completed a factory reset on my KOBO. I've also added the ADE Version 3.0 onto my PC - still no resolution.I'M being bouced back & forth between KOBO  ADE - hopefully this is resolved soon.is this still being looked into by ADOBE ?

ADE will not recognize my Nook Samsung Galaxy tablet ( not the Nook HD) in order to authorize it.  I previously had a Nook Color, and ADE would recognize it when connected by adding it to the left column, and I could drag ebooks to the Nook.  ADE does not show the Nook is a connected device at all.

Every time I turn on the app it is working fine. As soon as I try to open a book on my list it just freezes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, it IS the newest version. I am running WIN10 fully updated... I've tried moving the book to a different shelf, removing it and bringing it back, nothing is working.

Please don't make fun of me.Seemed simple enough: download it from Google Play, open up the ACSM file using Adobe Digital Editions, and download the actual EPUB or PDF... but it is completely and totally stuck. I get to the point where it would finish downloading, and the application freezes. It says it is not responding.Edit: Ended up finding the library in Windows Explorer. I realized that I had technically downloaded this file 6 times, and then proceeded to download it a couple more times. Quickly discovered that even if I had a file named "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Went to website to download ADE to my MacBook and got an error message saying I couldn't because I was signed out. `i sam signed in with my Adobe ID and password. Happened repeatedly. How do  I download ADE?

Hi,I have a question.I downloaded Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.6, created an ID and then I authorized my computer.I have some 60 e-books that I bought and I was managing them without any problem, downloading in Adobe and then removing one or more of the e-books if I want to reorganize my library.The program Adobe Digital Editions was working softly with me. Yesterday suddenly the program stopped allowing me to remove books.Precisely it accepts and removes any or all of the last 12 books that are still there, but once I exit and reopen the program, it recovers all these 12 books once more.It doesn't allow me to remove any of them (i.e. Just it allows me to remove one or more of the books but they are downloaded automatically again).I imagine that these books might for some reason - that I don't know -  have become what is called synced books. I just want to remove these twelve books and start the whole process once more, but every time I even uninstall the Adobe Digital Edition or era

What is causing this? Other times I will be half way through a book when the program stops responding, closes & won't open the book again. Each time I try it shuts down the program.

Leicht habe ich vergessen die ID zu beantragen und dabeidas ebook heruntergeladen. Erst vier Tage später habe ich jetzt die ID und somit meinem Homecomputer autorisiert.Jetzt wollte ich das ebook auf ein weiteres Gerät - meinen Laptop übertragen.Es funktioniert nicht, weil bei meinem Laptop die die Fehlermeldung auftaucht - meine id sei schon vergegeben.Wie kann ich trotzdem noch, die Daten auf meinen Laptop übertragen?Viele Grüße

I have been using ADE for several years.  On my second Kobo borrowing library  books.  Now, I am getting the error that says because I previously deauthorized my ereader I need to re-import the book.  I have done this several times.  Authorized, reauthorized.  Downloaded and redownloaded books.  Now, my kobo will not open any library books.  I even bought a brand new kobo with the same result.  Suggestions anyone?
