Adobe digital editions is recently installed (today) and I tried to open an ebook (ascm file). Unable to open it. Software isn't responding when I'm clicking on my book. How I can solve this issue? Thanks!
When i try to send an ebook to my reader a window error message says: you have not permission to copy this ebook. Probably those ebook are protected by DRM. The ebooks i read are bought in a legal comercial library. Please, Could anybody help me?
I get the message that the e-reader is not authorized. Both the computer and the e-reader are authorized. I can read the book on the computer not on the ereader. I have authorized and de-authorized both the computer and the e-reader several times and have uninstalled and installed Adobe Digital Editions a few times. Nothing seems to work.
Digital Editions (4.5, in this case) leaves keys and data in the Windows (7) registry after uninstalling the software.I've had some luck getting ADE working again with "sideloading" library books by searching and removing ADE components in the registry before reinstalling the ADE package, but I risk damaging my OS installation with such a "hit-and-miss" method.Maybe there's a batch file procedure for cleaning ADE completely out of a Windows system?
How do I sync books from my computer with other devices (iPhone / iPad)?
HiI've ADE installed on my Windows and it has been working fine when borrowing books from my local library. Now I installed ADE on my Android phone (Samsung S5), but the synch is not working. I've used the same Adobe ID. I've borrowed books to my phone as well, but ADE does not synch to my Windows neither. What do I have to do to synch between devices? Thanks in advanceMartin
I've borrowed an ebook from New York Public Library using Cloud Library, and I've followed Cloud Library's instructions for sideloading it from my computer to my Nook HD. The book is now on my Nook HD. When I try to read it, I'm given three app options, including Reader. If I select Reader, I'm asked to enter my Adobe User ID and p/w. But when I do that, I get the message "User not activated". What do I do to "activate" myself? Is it something I have to do on the Nook device or at my Adobe account? Thanks for any help.
1.Navigation Panel: Size is fixed. One can not reduce or increase the width. This feature to alter the panel width is needed.2. Table of contents: Table of contents are not expanded upon opening a book. By default they should be expanded.3.If a book is opened directly from windows explorer menu (not from digital editions library) and the book is not in the library, While closing ADE the following alert pops out.""xxxxx.epub is not open from library, would you like to copy it to library?""Check Box: Don't show this alert againButtons: "Copy to Library" "Cancel"If i Check the "Don't show this alert again" box. apllication closes. But if I open the book again same message pops out for the books not in the library. This check by ADE should be removed. The Above features make ebook reading very comfortable and saves time by reducing the no. of mouse clicks
After doing a sync on my Kobo Touch, I was unable to download any library books. And I have seemed to made matters worse, by downloading ADE 3.0, and uninstalling ADE 2.0. Now when I tried to open a book, the options are only Adobe Acrobat DC or Internet Explorer. Any suggestions how to get ADE on there? My Kobo is 4 years old. I have been able to get books directly from KOBO, that went straight to the kobo.

Hi guysSo.. I am pretty concerned that I wont be able to read my books if I somehow acquire a new PC. I'm currently writing my bachelor's thesis and my PC (which I'm on right now, as I'm writing this) has started acting weirdly. For example, I'm having problems charging it and I'm a little afraid that it might suddenly die. There is no time for me to have my PC fixed and I REALLY need those precious books. My concern is that my current PC is already authorized. What if my PC dies and I have to either borrow or buy a completely new PC? If that's the case, will I be able to read the books on the new PC? I see that my dying PC is authorized, so is there any way I can access my book in ADE on a completely new or borrowed PC? I really hope you understand my question. I'm extremely concerned about this matter... I will be looking forward to receiving an answer from you guys - thanks in advance!Best regards, Mathias - the concerned student
I use Digital Editions to read ebooks checked out from the library. I read one book fine. Returned it, downloaded another and now when I try to open Digital Editions says downloading content, never finishes, then msg "not responding". If I close and reopen DE I see the title and it says "loan", but it will not open to read and same "not responding" msg. I uninstalled DE, reinstalled and re-authorized. I am at my wit's end! Help!
I borrow the book. Then it says download EPUB. When it click download it brings up Windows Media Center. How do I get that off.
Ilaria
Is Digital Editions 4.0 compatible with Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra) ?
Hello, I want to understand the full functionality of Adobe Digital Editions. I only downloaded it because I was required to in order to borrow electronic books fromhttp://ebookcentral.proquest.com.library.sheridanc.on.ca/lib/sheridanc-ebooks/search.actionThe above link cannot be accessed because you are required to be a student but I have made screenshots. Please tell me what this exactly means:image 1: image2: (after downloaded adobe digital editions) My Question:I understand that this may be a silly question but I have very limited space on my hard drive. I would like to know if these books will take up space on my hard drive. If I have the book borrowed for 14 days; after 14 days it becomes inaccessible; So the following comes up when I 'open' a new book that has been downloaded:I want to know what is going on when it says "downloading content". I plan to download or borrow many books 3 months from now for research but I want to know how to properly delete them if I have to in order
I have downloaded an eBook and need Digital Editions to view it. However, when I get to the Authorize Computer step, firstly it would say I do not have a connection (which is not true, as I am using that connection to access this forum), then it does start authorizing, but it just stalls there. System Admin indicates that the program is still running, therefore not 'not responding', but it just goes on and on for hours.I have uninstalled the latest version, tried Digital Editions 3.0 and the same happened, and then tried Digital Editions 2.0. Same is happening. Anything I missed?
My DE will not recognize my Nook GlowLightPlus e-reader. I authorized the Nook with my Adobe ID.Any suggestions for troubleshooting?David
Trying to download book I get Error:Error getting licenseLicense Server communication problemHave tried re-setting license, passwords, deleting reinstalling software. I only have this problem on one computer others not an issueWindows 10 computer
Alright, so I got the 'E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED' error when trying to open an .ascm file. I've ...tried... talking to a adobe customer support rep but they sent me to the forums. On the forums however, it tells you to contact Adobe for a solution. When doing so, again, they send me to the exact place where it tells me to contact them. They also say that there can't be too many 'activations' (authorizations) since there are no activation servers for ADE.So I'm at a loss. What to do now? I cannot open the books I spent money on (locally), but I also cannot seem to find how to fix the bug, since support just throws me into a loop.Is there any place where I can ask adobe to reset the device limit, as E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error in Adobe Digital Editions suggests?(chat is not an option. They tell me there are no activation servers)
My Sony PRS505 will not be recognised by ADE. I have tried three different leads and It used to work but I installed Windows 10 and reinstalled Editions 3 and it just cant find the device
I downloaded an ebook. I can enlarge fonts in the text of the book, but cannot figure a way to enlarge the tables and they are too tiny to read. Any way to do this?
Trying to download books onto my kobo from the Public library. When I click add to library in my adobe digital editions in will not allow me to select files in my download folder.
I have not been able to access DRM protected media for approx. 1 year. I have added and removed the authorization. I have made sure that the Adobe account in the media apps I use is the one I wish to access media on. Needless to say I have logged in, out. I have tried to speak with support, I have tried to speak with the respective app providers, and in the case of ebooks, with the libraries as well. Nobody seems to be able to explain to me how to be able to access my books. As it stands, I can download the books, I can see their covers in my lists of books, but I cannot actually open them, again, b/c I get a message saying "already authorized with a different Adobe ID". If someone knows how to remedy this, anddd allow me to open books for which this error has already occurred, it would be much appreciated. Note: the ebooks have not been accessible in either account, ie, it's not an issue of having read them in one account and then tried to so the same on another; the books have not be
