NOOK HELP!Hi there, I have recently had to transfer my nook books to Sainsbury's & now have to use Adobe Digital Editions. I have downloaded the software, created an Adobe ID, authorised my computer & managed to Download some of my ebooks into Digital Editions but I am unable to transfer them to my nook. It seems I am unable to authorise my nook - when I click the settings 'wheel' all 3 options are grey-ed out. Can anyone suggest why this might be so? I have uninstalled & re-installed the software, I only opened the software after my nook was attached to my computer via usb cable & I am getting the E_IO_WRITE - Failed to write destination file error message when I try to copy the ebook. My nook is a Simple Touch with Glowlight, model number BNRV350 & I use Windows operating system. Please help!

Recently I just download Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.4 on my Windows 8 laptop. But when I try to authorise it, it will not let me do so and keep showing connection error. It shows the same error when I choose not to authorise it. I have tried the 'registry' step found on forum but the problem still exist. Any solution?

Cannot load a book to my original nook.  What do I do to fix it?

The books are there but i can turn pages to read. How do you do this. i see the arrows at top but there dark and when I tap them it won't do anything

Upgraded to Windows 10 & unable to download books to ADE 3.0 or 4.5.1.Suggestion from Microsoft forum was to run ADE in compatibility mode. Did this using Windows 8Now when I download ADE it shows "Loading Library" but never actually appears to do anything.Have to close computer to stop ADE & delete program.Anyone know what ADE is trying to do or how to download working copy of ADE.I have rolled back to Windows 8.1 but on reinstalling ADE it continues to show "Loading Library" & does not work. No response from Microsoft forum.ThanksTrish

I cannot get Digital Editions to recognize the Sony e-reader when connected. Because of that, I cannot transfer books from my PC to the reader, which is the prime reason for using the software in the first place. I have tried connecting first, then initiating ADE, or the other way around. Neither seem to work. I know MY PC sees the reader, as the drives show up on File Explorer. I previously used Reader for PC, but it no longer works, so I uninstalled it, and went to ADE.My wife will kill me if I can't get some new books on her reader! HELP!!

I finally got the Nook to find the books I loaded through DE, but they will not open,  B & N seems clueless and the local lib is working on the problem.  Meanwhile both books I downloaded are about to be overdue!  I could use some help!  Thanks!!

This is the error I get when I try to use ADE 3.0 - Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYI called the helpdesk and they told me that my license is activated so I have to use this forum. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED !!!

On the Adobe website I read that Windows 7 works with adobe digital editions 4.0.(see https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-editions/kb/install-digital-editions-windows-7.html)But I can't find where I can download ADE 4.0 from the Adobe-site.Can you give me the url for ADE 4.0?Thanks, Robin

Hi!I loaded some acsm as I always did. The ascm were fullfilled in the Adobe Digital Editions. But when I deleted books (no more rights), they appear again, when I restart the program. Copying to other devices (Tolino) will not work; the program freezes. In two cases it worked. But when trying to open in the Tolino it was refused saying, the ID would not match (which is nonsense). Later it worked.What I tried: Deinstallation and new installation of the program: No change.Killing the ID: Books could be deleted and did not reappear after restart.Connecting to ID: Same problem as above.Computer is a Windows 10 laptop. For my Windows 7 PC, 4.53 won't work & the message said to go to the Download tab and select 4.0  The Download tab mentions4.5 and 3.0, but NO 4.0 link to install.  Where is it?

I recently loaded Adobe Digital Editions to replace Sony Reader for PC, which no longer works. I was able to load ebooks to the application with no problem, but it is currently authorized with out an ID. I tried to create an ID, and received this messageAccess Denied  You don't have permission to access "http://www.stage.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/ebookcreateid.html" on this server. When downloading books from Overdrive into ADE, it keeps duplicating the book until there are several copies of the same book and then I am not able to transfer the book to my NOOK. I have been having one problem after another with ADE for several months. I get one problem solved and now it's another. This is frustating since this is the only way to transfer books from Overdrive and then to my NOOK

Downloaded ADE 4.5.4 but will not open with the following comment:Error writing temporary file. Make sure your temp folder is valid.

Digital editions could not connect to the fulfillment server.  Please make sure you are connected to the internet...Anyone find a fix for this yet?  ADOBE!?!?See more people with this error and no answers at all...I've troubleshooted using all the usual things like reinstalling, clearing caches, trying to erase authorization and redo it.  Ironically it won't deauthorize due to the same issue I assume, it says I'm not connected when I definitely am...

HelloI bought a book and I opened with Adobe Digital Edition, The computer was authorized with out any adobe account, so I could opened the book to read it,  after I authorize the computer with a Adobe account to read the book in my mobile, but now I can not open the book because it says that the book was authorized with a different adobe account.Can you help me please?

On my authorized home computer I have access to a certain book in Adobe Digital Editions, however today I authorized my work computer with the same ADE account and I was unable to access said book. How do I go about accessing this book from my work computer?

I just re-installed the Adobe Digit Edition following the guidance of Adobe technical support, now when I authorize the computer to open the ebook, it says that the vender account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. what should I do?

I am not able to open my library.  This worked fine on Saturday and then when I tried to open it up on Sunday, nothing happens. I do not even get any type of message.   I tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE with no luck.  Any suggestions on how to open the library?  Could this have something to do with the new release of edition 4.5.4?

I have downloaded the book to my PC and I can see is on the iPad to download but when I try to down load it I get an error Digital editions could not connect to the fulfilment server. please make sure you are connected to the internet. I'm defiantly connected to the internet.I tried to connect the device to the PC but it doesn't register on the app there so I don't know how to read this book on my iPad.

My adobe digital edition 3.0 has stop working it had been in use with the local library for my e-reader I have Uninstall it and reinstall it but it still does not work I am running windows 10I appreciate your help.

Hello.I have the problem opening PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Reader for iPad from EC-Council. They are using DRM protection. I have no problem opening same files on PC/Mac or Android device, just on iPad or iOS device. It should ask me for my login name and password, but iPad version says, that it is unable to connect securely with drm.eccouncil.org server due to SSL. Do you have any suggestion? There is nothing to set in iPad version of Acrobat Reader. Thank you.
