Adobe support don't want to help,and i am looking at taking the Lenovo back to the store for a refund,as there seems to be no solution.

I want to move an ebook from Adobe Digital Editions to my kobo touch but i received the error No Permission to copy the book.

i am away from my original computer and i need to access a ebook i have on digital editions but it will not allow me to activate my id on a second computer.

I am developing my own epub-eBooks (according to the standard idpf.org). They work just fine with Calibre, but ADE does not display the content. There are no crash and no error messages. I can see the table of contents but I don't see any content. The pages just won't be displayed.So are there any debug options in ADE so I can investigate on this problem?~Thomas

Hi,i updated the ADE 3.0 to 4.5 but it's incompatible with Kobo. I try to download books from the library (Overdrive) to ADE and a few will transfer but many don't, so I can't read it on ADE nor on my Kobo. So, I have to uninstall it and install the ADE 3.0 however, it's authorized with an old email address that is no longer active and I have forgotten the password. How do I go about this. Having read my situation which would be the best steps to follow?Thanks

I downloaded an ebook yesterday, but i of course download ADE first. Then when installing it, i found out i already had an older version and just migrated my old books with the new. i downloaded the ebook and clicked on the file, and the message ''Error getting license. License server communication problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY'' showed. Then i tried deauthorizing, but it kept said that i should try later again. Then i tried deleting ADE by going to applications and deleting the programme completely, but every time i did that, and downloaded ADE again, it would go back to the old account - Therefore the programme would still be authorized even if i deleted it.. Please help, what should i do? I need the book before friday for Uni...

I've been using Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 for some time in Windows 10 and it's always worked fine.  Suddenly it won't open.  I thought perhaps the file had become corrupted somehow so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled.  Still won't open.  Any ideas what might be going on?

Yes, there are already several others who have raised this question. I, too, had v1.7 which had been working up until I tried to download a short book. So, I installed the latest version of ADE, but it still won't let me open this book (failed to get license) in either version. Then, since the library had updated their Overdrive, I installed that as well, but it doesn't address the real issue here of using ADE to get the book itself! Then I tried to de-authorize ADE, but that didn't go anywhere either (it says to try again later.... how many times and how much later can that be!!). So, I've complained to my library about the problem, but really feel it's in ADE trying to use that .acsm token to access/download the book and failing. I've had this Mac for 5 years and always used it to download eBooks from libraries via Overdrive. My last successful download was Oct 31, 2016 and I think I used v1.7 on Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan).This is so frustrating... things were working for quite awhile

Hi I have always used Digital Editions to load books onto kobo and it works, now also have a kindle for the kids and want to load their books its not recognising the kindle how do I do that please I have tried to register the kindle no luck, the online chat told me to ask this question here, Please can someone assist thank you.

Unfortunately, my MacBook got water damaged a couple days ago and I had to purchase a new laptop ( a Dell laptop with Windows). Hello Forums/Discussion Group/or Other People that are hopefully more helpful that Adobe Customer Sever Chat,I recently have been having trouble downloading ebooks on Adobe Edition version 1.7 (apparently that was very old).  So, I installed the newest version in hopes this would solve the problem or errors of being unable to communicate aka error cannot download said books.  Sadly though this did not solve my problem.  In the process of downloading new version, it was unable to uninstall old version.  So, yes, to answer any questions I still have 2 version on my laptop.  I don't mind, I just want to be able to download my ebook so I can transfer it on to my Nook.  I have had several errors now with new version, which still includes not being able to transfer downloaded ebook to this program.  First it told me I needed to sync my old version to new version, okay, try that.  But before I can do that I need to log in to my Adobe account.  Whic

I want to un-authorize my computer, but when I try, it says "Unable to erase authorization.  Please try again after some time."  Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

I have successfully been reading books on my desk top and have now authorised my laptop. I have 2 PURCHASED books on desk top but they are not appearing on laptop - HELP please! Do I need to shut down computer and restart to enable them to show?

Ich habe beim Ausleiheportal Ebookplus Bücher ausgeliehen, dann wieder zurückgegeben und aus der ADE Bibliothek gelöscht. Beim erneuten Starten von ADE erscheint bei einem bestimmten gelöschten Buch wieder der Rahmen mit einem Cloudzeichen und dem Buchtitel, aber ohne Inhalt. Wie kann ich diesen Rahmen löschen? "Aus der Bibliothek" entfernen" nützt nichts, der Rahmen ist bei einem Neustart wieder da. Ebenfalls das manuelle, physische Löschen aller Files, die mit dem Buch in Verbindung stehen könnten, bringt nichts. Auch eine Neuinstallation von ADE war erfolglos. Greift ADE auf eine Cloud zu, wo irgendwelche "Leichen" versteckt sind? Wenn ja, wie kann ich die löschen? @ !
