Digital Editions

Hello!  I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else - there should be a simple solution.  I have been able to download books for years.  Today the library basically pushed me to the upgrade and now it won't open and I can't download books. I hit on the link to download 3.0 and it takes me back and forth, back and forth, to no link for 3.0.  Can you please fix this, or send me a link?  This is quite frustrating.  I have read so many forums and there doesn't seem to be a current solution. 

How can I download pdf file books and ebooks in Adobe digital edition app ?  

I have not got any information about highlighted error then how can I correct them?

I need to either reset my authorized devices so I can add a new one or to see a list of authorized mobile devices so I can delete ones I no longer have. This seems to be a common problem. Does anybody have an answer? Chat directed me here. I can't seem to find the solution. 

Today I tried to add two new Epub books to my Kobo that I had borrowed from the Public Library. When I tried to open them it said I wasn't authorized. I found steps on here to erase authorization and reauthorize but it didn't work. I also tried deleting the downloads and redownloading as well as returning the ebooks to the library and reborrowing. nothing. Now I have a new problem. Now it keeps addding a new copy of the book every time I try to add it. I have been "removing" the books before adding a new one and even removing them from my Mac finder and cloud sync but every time i try to reload it it just adds more copies (see below). Please help me! I have read 9/12 books in this series and I MUST find out what happens.

I cannot authorized digital edition with my ID adobe. It says that another device is already aouthorized and I cannot connevt my computer while the other device is authorized. I do not know about which device they are talking... please help. How can I connect mz ID adobe to Digital Edition and FINALLY download and read a book on computer or smartphone?Thank zou in advance.

Hello! I am having trouble with a just-purchased ebook. I have the .acsm file, and Adobe Digital Editions is authorized on my computer. When I try to open the ebook, I get the following error message from ADE: "Unable to Download. Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN:" I am using ADE version 4.5.11.187606, on an iMac running macOS Monterey, v. 12.3.1. Any help would be appreciated! The book seller was unable to help.

I'm trying to activate my ADE account on my new phone but it says that there are too many devices connected. I removed al active sessions I don't use anymore but it didn't work for me. The support cannot help me with this and pushed me to write a post here.

Ok, I'm well aware that there are already a number of posts referring to this exact same issue, and that there is an existing workaround, but I'm creating this new post anyway. Consider this more of a bug report directed at Adobe than a post asking for a workaround. Point is, I want the bug to get fixed for good, not to be pointed to a workaround that just allows the  In short, when trying to authorize ADE 4.5.11.187606 on my Mac using my Adobe ID and password, I keep getting an error: E_AUTH_INVALID_KEY_DATA.The underlying cause of the issue seems to be very long, auto-generated passwords from password managers – see this post here. I'm not 100% sure that the linked issue from 2016 is the exact same one I'm running into, but replies as recent as January 2022 indicate that password length appears to be the issue. At a certain point the app didn't respond anymore. I reinstalled it many times but when I try to open it, it remains as an icon on the taskbar and I can't even see the app's window opened. I used it on two computers windows 10 and now it does that in both of them.Thank you all

Unfortunately I have to use Digital Editions to access EPUB books with my public library, and Digital Editions will NOT allow me to authorize my MAC so I can access on Overdrive books.  Here's the error message I keep getting:  "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices".  This make no sense to me, since I don't have any other Adobe ID's.  I tried to get a NEW Adobe ID to use on my MAC, but was told I can't get one.  Can you please help me straighten out this mess with a step by step list of what I need to do?  This program is very frustrating and not user friendly AT ALL.  I'm very disappointed that Adobe Digital Editions is so hard to authorize and use.  

I see quite a lot of posts regarding this but few with actually helpful responses. Why am I required to use Adobe's program to use a product purchased from Google? 

Hello,I already wrote on another occasion (weeks ago) and I was not answered.Please. I have Digital Editions installed. I had it on another computer, this one crashed, and I have installed it on a new computer, I have opened my user in the Digital Editions installed. The books open but do not turn the pages. That is, in the lower viewer you see that the page turns, but the pages are not displayed, it stays on the first page of the book. And when I close and reopen, then it opens on the last page that was moved (and was previously not displayed). I add video capture, to see if it explains better. Also in case there was a problem I have attached the video.

Hello, Support chat was unable to assist and asked me to post here.When I try to authorize I get the E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error message.Please advise what can be done. 

I have installed DE. I want to authorize for a book loned from the public library. I want to authorize. In the screen I have to choose a supplier. I set it for Adobe Id. When I try to authorize. I get the message incorrect ID/password for this supplier. I changed the password for my adobe Id to be sure (so I have to correct it on all devices for PS and LR) to b sure. And got the same message.

I am using adobe digital editions for a study book. I have been able to add notes & highlight up until today now all of a sudden these features are "greyed out".  I am beyond frustrated as Adobe support tech says they are not trained on Adobe Digital Editions because it is a "free" product.   Anyone have similar issue & how did you resolve it?
