Digital Editions

I just experienced problems with the ADE. I have been using it for months now, sometimes without any problems, sometimes it bugging more than I'd like to. Few days ago it stopped working, I've uninstalled it and installed it multiple times without any help. Tried to chat with the support, but they said they are not offering any support with Digital Editions, and I need to find the answer myself. When I try to open it, I can see the logo on the taskbar and when I click on it, nothing happens. Sometimes when I click it, there appears/flashes about 5x5cm white square on the left side of the screen. Nothing seems to be working. I currently have Windows 11. Any help?

I installed V 4.5.11 on Windows 11. I am using Kobo V 4.31.19086. When I try to open Kobo in Digital Editions, it crashes Digital Editions. Furtehrmore, I cannot open an Epub book dowloaded in Digital Editions. Does anyobe has a fix to solve the problem?

I have been trying to download a book from the library to my Kobo Forma and receive the following message:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYI have tried to de-authorize my computer but Adobe doesn't recognize my password that I just created. I tried the digital assistant at Adobe which qwas a complete waste of time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I can't find my library online for the life of me. Digital editions is the worst app for ebooks in my opinion. My downloaded book is only viewable on my app for 21 days before it has to be redone. I won't always be able to go into my university course room to access my book (which is the entire point of Downloading it!). Where do I find my online library so I can access my books?

Hello, I'm trying to switch from buying Amazon e-books to some other platform.I'm on Linux and Digital Editions for Linux does not work. I undestand that mantaining the application for another platform is expensive (though being Adobe it shoud not be a  problem)... However is there any chance to have at least a web version that converts .acsm files to DRM .epub or .pdf formats.I'm thinking at just the converter, not a full reader app. Or maybe a way to do this on the mobile app. Thanks

Hello, I use a macbook and I borrowed an ebook but, once I downloaded and clicked the acsm file, Adobe Digital Editions gives me the following error:"Unable to download: License retrieval error. Communication problem with the license server: E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12 "I already tried reinstalling Adobe Digital Editions and it didn't work. I also tried several times to deauthorize ADE but I get "Unable to erase authorization. Please try after some time."How do I solve the problem?Thank you for your help!

I can not open an .acsm file with Digital Editions since I get the error E_ADEPT_XML_SYNTAXHow can I solve this problem?  

We have Adobe Content Server which we use to sell customers DRM protected PDFs.  Lately we have had a number of customers who are unable to turn pages unless they turn the page, exit the book, then re-open it.  These seem to always be customers with new computers. I know Adobe doesn't support customers with the free Adobe Digital Editions app.  Can they support customers of Adobe Content Server who want their customers to be able to turn pages in their books?!  I know ACS is the best in breed for protecting our eBook content, it is a shame to have such a great product ruined by the reading app.  

Page is stuck at first page and doesn't turn to next page only the cursor shows it is the next page.

I just downloaded this application on my windows PC for a school text book. The pages won't turn, but the page number on the bottom will. I already uninstalled and re-downloaded, issue persists

Avril 2022Je fais aide, autoriser l'ordinateur est en pâle.Pour cause, je fais infos sur l'autorisation, et j'ai un messsage qui me dit que mon ordi est autorisé.OK, il faut donc que j'enlève l'autorisation pour la remettre... Logique!Je fais effacer l'autorisation. Adobe me demande mon mot de passe que j'ai changé aujourd'hui même (avec le OK et accusé réception d'Adobe)Le message est le suivant: impossible d'effacer l'autorisation. Mauvais mot de passe.Moralité: belle kobo toute neuve inutilisable...Vous avez trouvé une solution? Merci d'avance.

Waiting on Kobo to help but ADE cannot detect the kobo downloaded books. The kobo app SAYS theyre downloaded, but ADE cannot find it.   I already searched the computer to see if its hidden somewhere, but no luck.  I really dont know what to do. Kobo.com isnt helping much even their live support chat. They just keep referring me back to ADE. I'm really sick of needing so many programs just to read a book!

- Youth account for digital editions  At the time of this post, parents are not able to lend books to their kids.  Nor are they able to monitor youth accounts.   While this may seem strait forward, it does present a challenge getting books to the youth.   Thoughts?

Habe ADE schon deinstalliert und neu installiert. Habe alle Bücher gelöscht und 1 neu geladen. Nichts hilft. Mein PC hat eine ID. Brauche ich eine neue ID wenn ich einen neuen reader habe? wie geht das?

Just had the worst custumer service experinece in my life.All I needed to know from the Adobe Helpdeks was how to de- and re-authorize PC / Mac from / on Adobe Digital Editions, and all I got was a silly aryicle and the advice to post my question in the community ...Which I do, hoping someone can help me ... I purchased an English e-book, for which I need to run the acsm throug Digital Editions in order to transform it into e-pub. This usually works very well, but with the latest one, I get an error message stating I do not have access anymore and have to re-authorize the Mac for Adobe Digital Editions.I did a totally new re-install, still the same.I tried to de-authorize, can't do it ...Thanks for helping out!

On my Macbook (Catalina OS) while everything has been working properly for years, I have had the following message for a few weeks: Unable to download E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN when trying to open newly downloaded acsm files (epubs) from the municipal library.Adobe Digital Editions version 4.5.11.187245.I have another Mac and no problems.Deleting Adobe and its directories, using Onyx Maintenance and reinstalling the application did not fix the pb.Do you have any solutions?In advance, thank you

Hi there, Can anyone help me? I have recently downloaded a book and the edge of the pages are cut off, there is no option to zoom out, change orientation and making the text smaller also doesn't help. If anyone has any help of advice that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Robyn

I have a problem lately. I can't open the files in the app.  I have already done the deauthorising and again authorising trick. My screen shows that. Any ideas? 

I need the text read out loud on an ACSM file and I'm using an iPad with the Adobe Digital Editions app. The built in screen reader (VoiceOver) does not recognize any text, nor does the accessibilty feature Spoken Content. I tried to open the file in an app that can OCR text (like Speechify), but the file type is not compatible.  Can you please advise on how to have this material read out loud? With dyslexia, it's imperative to hear the text out loud.
