Dimension

I was working on a big file (3.74 GB). I successfully saved and closed the file. Now when I try to open the file, I get the message, "A problem caused the application to stop working correctly." I already tried unistalling and reinstalling. I am able to create new document or open smaller past documents, but my large one gets this error. I even made a duplicate, which almost worked, I could see all the layers load, but then the message popped up again. This is quit disheartening to see after hours and hours of work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  My machine is a 2023 M2 MacBook Pro, 32gb memory.

Hi, how are you? I’m having this error when importing an OBJ file, made on SolidWorks (Converted and Decimated on Blender):  I tried different levels of complexity on the file, also .stl extension, every time the same thing happens. Hello all!  We have a new release today (Dimension 3.4.4) which now supports emulation mode for Apple Arm (M1) devices.  We've gotten great feedback from beta testers about it's performance and really excited to bring Dimension to new devices!   No timeline for native support right now, but we'll keep you posted!

I rendered a scene as a Photoshop 32Bit/Channel High file and the output dimensions were 1024x768 at 72dpi. Is there any way of increasing this? I realise it will massively increase render times but ideally I'd like to export scenes at print-resolution sizes. Is this possible with Dimension?

Hello, I'm very new to this so please stick with me.I just downloaded Dimension yesterday onto my Asus ProArt Studio book. When trying to import an obj file (details below) the program takes 20min to get to 50% and then stops.It is a massive file, but all other problems on here that are similar are for files far larger.I've restarted the computer and reinstalled the app twice and it is still happening.  This is all for work, I urgently need some help sorting this.Thankyou

When I try to render my packaging it creates thse weird grey blocks at the bottom, is there a way I can fix this?

Hello,I have now tried almost all available versions, but none of them start the program. All drivers have been updated. Program was uninstalled and reinstalled. Does anyone have any ideas what else I can do?Thanks and regardsRalf

I've been using Dimension for all of 65 seconds. I added a gift bag to start to recreate our already done company gift bag. Our actual gift bag is 20 x 30 x 9cm. Type that in to the bag properties. The gift bag image in Dimension doesn't even look remotely close to the correct proportions as the actual bag sitting on my desk.  Color me shocked, or not at all... is this just another tool designed to fool designers? I mean, it's a packaging mockup tool, no? On what planet would it make sense to have the dimenions of a paper bag NOT be the paper dimensions of the bag? I assume, for ludicrous reasons, the floating string is somehow considered the "top" of the "bag."  Continually, I'm blown away at the complete and total lack of either testing or even basic understanding what designers need from Adobe. I could make an amazing mockup for my clinent in minutes with this tool, instead I want to blow my brains out as usual. Or, am I missing something?  How do I get

Does anyone have a solution for this problem in Dimension? When I publish my scene (just a simple object with no background image), and view it on the web, it initially appears tiny and far away, only becoming a normal view when I click on it. It only happens sporadically, but nothing I try seems to have any effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

When I import my own content, and place a graphic the model, there is no problem. When I try to export the model as a GLB, everything other than the placed graphic exports. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, does anyone know what that is? Thanks!

I'm trying to render a simple image of a food pouch at 15" wide but the final rendering is only about 3" wide when I open the psd in Photoshop. Am I missing something in the settings?

Maybe I'm missing it, but I can't find a tutorial on how to do this and the feature has been requested as far back as 2017 so I can't fathom why it wouldn't be blatantly obvious where to find it or how to do it by now so I'm hoping someone here can help me. Let's my project settings are set to 300dpi and I have a flat object 8 inches wide and 10 inches long. I have a graphic perfectly sized at 300dpi that is also 8 inches wide and 10 inches long. How do I cover the object with the image so that it is perfectly aligned and sized? Where is the functionality to specify the size, position and rotation of an image/decal/material/whatever-fake-name-Aobe-arbitrarily-calls-this according to the object? Thanks!

Please help!I'm using Adobe Dimension to create photorealistic, basic shapes (In this case a very basic Jar ouet shell with White "Plastic" material finish). Render preview looks excellent, but once I've rendedered the image (Quality: High) to a PSD file (32 Bits), the resulting PSD file is very poor quality. Is there any way to improve my quality of PSD export?Thank you in advance.

Hello, My marketing team wants to utilize Dimension to create 3D Product Videos that show the assembly and installation of our products. Our engineering team uses the Solidworks program for our 3D models and renderings, and I have found that dimension does not accept any of those file types. Even freelancers I've tried to contract out for this creative are asking for the same files that Dimension requires, like OBJ and FBX.So, I guess my ultimate question is, what is the process here? How do I get our Solidworks files into Dimension so I can create these videos? Do I need to convert the Solidworks files somehow? Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated. There just isn't a lot of information out there on this that I have found!

Hi All,I have this issue with Dimensions where the text that appears in the decal pixelates pretty badly. I have tried using very high resolution (up to 1200 dpi) for the decal file. The original file is all vector made in Illustrator. I've tried using JPG's, PNG's, and PSD's but no luck. I also used CC Libraries and used the Illustrator file as an asset and pulled it into Dimensions. Every single render still looks the same. I am rendering it at 2300 pix x 2300 pix and at high quality (tried medium and low too but the same happens).Here's an example of how it looks. Looks at the "V" in "Vite".

Hello,From some updates ago, the GLB files aren't displayed and rendered correctly in Dimension. The solids get some mistakes in their surfaces as you can see in the picture. With other types of 3D, like OBJ, they are displayed and rendered correctly. I tried other GLB files with different solid geometries, and the problem happens too, also in different computers with different graphics cards.I cannot add the Dimension file to this post, I get this message:

I've recently bought a macbook air chip 2M 8 core works well with all the apps till I tried adobe dimention, I wasn't offered all the features, and my mac book hot in very little time. I wasn't certaine if I should upgrade or this is normal, that it reaches high temperatures  

Hallo zusammen,seit der Umstellung meines Arbeitsplatzes von Mac auf Windows-PC funktioniert Dimensions nicht mehr. Nach dem Start bleibt die Arbeitsfläche leer. Ich sehe kein Raster, alles bleibt schwarz. Die Paletten für Formen, Modelle usw. sind vorhanden, wenn ich alte Modelle öffnen möchte, rechnet das Programm, aber nichts passiert. Ich habe das Programm deinstalliert, eine ältere Version installiert, nichts funktioniert. Die Prüfung der Systemanforderung hat ergeben, dass mein Rechner alle Anforderungen mehr als erfüllt. Eine Anwenderin scheit ein ähnliches Problem gehabt zu haben, allerdings hat sich dieses von selbst gelöst. Deshalb war die Antwort leider für mich nicht brauchbar. Kann mir jemand helfen?

I just purchased a one-gallon container bottle with handle from Turbosquid. The renderings on this .obj file on Turbosquid look perfect. When I import the file into Dimension, it is huge! I have to scale it down to .01 just to see it. Created a simple box in Newtek Lightwave 3D with separate surfaces for each panel. Exported as an .OBJ model. Successfully imported the model. Went to surface with a custom graphic (.JPEG) and got an error:"Something went wrong during graphic placement. The decal will be removed."The same graphic imports just fine on one of the supplied models within Dimension. Anyone else get this?James

How can I add my custom model to AD? I don't want to import it but add to models library forever on left hand side in Adobe Dimmension. I can't find this option inside top menu bar. I tried to add my model to the folder "\Adobe Dimension CC\resources\common\scene-assets\models\primitives\MY_MODEL_FOLDER_NAME" it works but thumb is not showing Is there no other option to do it using program interface?
