Dimension

Apparently, you can't copy and paste objects into a new file. As a result, I've been forced to create this massive long row of our product sets in one single file.As a result, the file has become massive, slow to open and unwieldy to work with.  Is this the only possible workflow?I'm using this to create product set images .. is there a better way to handle it, or is this what I'm stuck with? (Note, I've seen some ads for some kind of new 3D software from Adobe that's a paid upgrade option ... is Dimension – that comes with my subscription – being left in the dust? That is to say, if the answers to my copy/paste problem are "upgrade," that is just dumb.)

As a graphic designer with minimal knowlege of 3D rendering - Adobe Dimension has been the perfect solution for me so far - I've been able to set a camera angle to an perfectly match an image of a shelf that I'm setting up mutiple 3D products onto and easily apply graphics onto the surface of those graphics. I'm trying to set up this file for print - so my canvas size is fairly large ( 4000+ px) and in total there are 80 objects on this one canvas. I knew I would be in for a longer render time, but after 4+ hours of the program "Estimating..", then locking up and crashing - I'm worried I won't be able to render out what I need in time. ( I have 5 similar canvases in total) I have a work around I really don't want to use if I don't have to since it's very time consuming and the quality is poor -- is there a way to get my complex Dimension files to render??  The workaround I have lined up:Export a .obj file from DimensionOpen in Cinema 4D LiteAttempt to match the camera an

Hello, I'm new to Dimension but use Illustrator regulary.Is there a way to merge two objects in Dimension. Similar to the Unite function/Pathfinder/Illustrator.It seems like a simple task to merge two ojects to make a new compounded object but I just can not find it.Also I do not mean to group obects, I want to merge them.I want to merge a square and circle to make the shape on the attached photoMany thanks 

Hi! I'm new to Adobe Dimensions and started out trying to create a reflective metal sphere on a photo. I want to choose the same photo as my background for environment light for the cube to create to reflective effect. However, when I try to choose a photo from my computer no files show up. The photo I want to choose is a jpg. How do I fix it?

In the Design window, is there any way to hide the grid?  I have looked everywhere and cannot see where this is possible.

HI! I am using dimension to modify the color/texture of a mixamo model  and export it to aero. I am having a problem with dimension  exporting color/texture of OBJ ,  and not sure if it is aero dimension or mixamo causing it.here is the link for the modified mixamo model https://adobe.ly/2ymb9X9 HEre are the steps I took to try and rig the above version 1-Downloaded the fbx from mixamo2- Imported the model to dimension and changed material3-Exported from Dimension as OBJ 4-zipped the obj , mtl and picture folder 5-Uploaded zip to mixamo6-sent to aero would really appreciate ur help,tkx!  

I'm creating a scene with my bottle at in a fridge, my bottle is an object but the fridge is just an image that I'm using as my environment. Is there a way for me to cut off the shadows and reflections at the edges of the fridge so that there won't be any floating spots in the air?

Hi! I'm putting together an AR experience using Dimension and Aero. What percentage of the adult UK/US population do you roughly think would have one of the following? iPhone 8 Plus and lateriPad and iPad mini 5th generation and lateriPad Air 3rd generation and lateriPad Pro 2nd generation and later

Does anyone know how to fix or stop this from happening? Once I start placing images onto the mockup assets I get these spots that won't take the image. I've tried restarting Dn. If I copy the asset and place a new one the same spots will be there. Here is my Mac info and a screen shot of the issue. Also, this only happens in Dimension.

Ich weiss nicht ob es an Windows 11 liegt oder ob das andere Gründe hat. Ich würde mich über jede Hilfe sehr freuen ,da ich Adobe Dimension geschäftlich benutze und dies derzeit ein großes Problem darstellt.

Is there a way to use Dimension  either app or Web. I do not have desktop or laptop yet. Only iPad Pro.trying to send a 2D file, psd or pdf into a 3D file. OBJ? Trying to understand the process. If one creates a flower in photoshop, lets say. Save as> psd, or png, jpeg or tiff . Mixamo only accepts FBX, or Obj, or Zip file/character/flower. How do I Save as > Obj file from either Adobe photoshop or illustrator or fresco apps on iPad Pro ??? Advice needed.Thanks !

Can't start Dimension on my 27" iMac with OS Mojave, 3.6 GHz i9 processor, 96 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and 8 GB Radeon Pro Vega 48 graphics. I have tried with all available downloads. I double click on the icon and nothing happens. No error messages. Nothing.

This seems such a simple request but I can't find an easy answer anywhere!I have a 3D model created in Dimension. I'd like to fly a camera around it and create a video of the flight. Simply rotating it 360 degrees around vertical axis will do.Has anyone done this and how? Is there a different piece of software (preferably Adobe) that will do it without too much fuss?Also, if the answer is producing separate renders of camera views from different angles to make the 360, how can I make sure that the camera doesn't move up or down but stays on its horizontal orbit?

Hello,I downloaded Adobe Dimension a few hours ago and just started using it.There seems to be a problem for me while I'm trying to use the in-app tutorial. The tutorial is set in a white window that appears right over the work area. Hi there,we want to export a 360 view using 20 images rendered.Anybody out there with help how to achieve this project using Dimension?I tried with camera positions but got stuck here.Please help a newbie..rgds Hans

Using the latest release of Dimension with students in school. Many have recent/new MacBook Pro or similar MacBook laptops (Intel not M1 chip based) yet the software refuses to work. When loading their file it either crashes immediately of freezes up as soon as they try to apply assets to their models. Both Mac OS and CC are up to date. Files are no different to those opened on other laptops where they work fine. Tried reinstalling Dimension to no effect. Example spec shown

Does anybody have a clue why this would be happening? So I noticed with a different app (can't remember which now pro AI or AE), a similar thing was happening but there was an available update, which I got and and all was good. I don't usually use Dimension but knew it would come in handy for a recent project, but this weird corruption occurs, it happens when I hover over a menu item or button and just keeps getting larger the more I move the mouse.   The software is up to date and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. My system is a year old: windows i7 6 core, 16gb ram, nvideo Geforce rtx 2060 6gb. This happened when I had no other apps open, not even a browser. I also was able to use after effects, photoshop and illustrator today at the same time without any issues. Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... Creating a pipe 2cm in diameter and 6cm in length when rendered is a fraction of its size.I set it to 100% then set the x y z values but unfortunately it scales it down and I have noidea why.
