Dimension

I'm currently trying to turn the object in the original picture into a 3D render with photoshop and dimension.I got the model/main shape pretty on point, now I'm trying to get the surface/material to match.  What would be the best way to achieve that? Create a new, improved 3d model or find a material for dimension that has those textures? 

Hello, receive a greeting. I come to this forum because I don't know what to do anymore since I open the Dimension program and it doesn't show the workspace, I open an object and it still doesn't show anything on the scene. I would like to know why.

Hello, I have a new laptop, apparently, it is very good in terms of performance with the video card, I was recently rendering a mockup in Adobe Dimension and I have noticed that it takes a long time and that I have only set it to render a PNG in high quality. But I have also noticed that when it is rendering the image and I have started to inspect the task manager and I have noticed that it uses more resources of the CPU and Ram Memory instead of the Video Card, there is some extra configuration that I should do for the app to work better? I don't want to break the ram or CPU by rendering a simple bag mockup. Any suggestion?

Hi there, Since the big sur update, im not able to open dimensions consistantly. Its about 1 out of 20 tries and that one is ususually after i uninstall dimension and reinstall the previous version. Any idea how I can adress this? We rely heavily on dimension in our brand and could really use a fix. imac 5k 2017i7 4.2Ghz40GB memoryRadeon Pro 575 4GB Installed on a SSD. Hi,I am new to adobe dimension and had downloaded it onto my moms laptop when mine was broke. Worked perfectly. I then got my laptop back when it was fixed and tried to download adobe dimesion from my adobe creative cloud account as i did before. I can open the program and it says its compatible with my laptop but will not let me inpout anything as you can see. And I would say that m laptop is stronger than the one before as I am an archtiecture student and we render and 3d build a lot so my laptop is speced to handle it.  ANY ANSWERS??

Hi, every time I import a model into Dimension and try to apply materials, I get a weird tiling effect. Basically it takes the texture and makes it extremely small. When I adjust the texture to a somewhat acceptable size it doesn't render correctly. It looks blurry and not detail. I don't have depth of field turned on from what I can tell. Heck I don,t even see depth of field as an option.The render shown was completed in under a minute. I will include a couple other renders that were done with better results. Solid colors don't seem to be an issue, I'm assuming its because of its uniformity. The square measures 1'x1'x1" The texture is American elm wood (however it does this with any texture not a solid color)

Hi,I have the following problem with the material not tiling correctly when Dimension generates the UV mapping for the 3D model. However, the materials applied look much higher quality when I do this than when I import and am using the UV mapping on my model. I am not a 3D person so might be missing something here? I have been working on this for days..and am about to rip my hair out... Thanks in advance for any tips!

My graphic wraps around 50% of the object then it repeats. How do I fix this? I feel like this has something to do with the model. I made the 3d Object in photoshop. using the 3d Extrusion. See photos both sides of the bottle have seems that the graphic dissapears into and repeats out of . 

Hi everyone,my problem: I have an object, e.g. a bottle or can which is made of glass. I place a graphic on it as a sticker. All the same, but the sticker can be seen mirror-inverted from the inside - how do I get the inside white or without the graphic?

Would be great to have this feature, so updating graphics on the model was much faster. Possibly with a checkbox when you import a decal to choose if you want to keep a link to the original, or just import it.

When I work on branding assets in Dimension, I found that I really miss one feature (there would be extremely helpful when creating mock-ups) :PSD render exports to have a separate layer as a smart object of a design (for example wine bottle label) and you will have an editable layer directly in photoshop. Who would want that feature?

HiI am rather new to Dn … When placing artwork on a paper background (from Illustrator) white areas will be also white but should appear transparent like a real print… same for other colors not really mixing with background. Usually blend mode multiply will do the job… how is this working in Dimension? Thanks for your support!

Hi there, after applying some high resolution »decal« (tried PNG, JPG and even AI) to a simple object (cylinder) I seem to get poor render results of it in any case. The decal consists of some letter artwork with very sharp and crisp shapes which come out rendered to be very jagged. What is there to do to get a render result looking as sharp as the original decal artwork? Thanks –Klaus

I have set up an interior scene and I have created light sources outside that are pointed through a window. The lighting coming though looks good but it does not fill the room the way natural light would. Does anyone have any good tips on how to achieve this effect? 

Trying to wrap a trifold brochure to a model, but it's not allowing me to fully extend to the front and back.Looks like I'm required to break the trifold panel into at least only 2, not three panels. Not letting me move the front over any more than it is.Any thoughts? 

I have a grid I want to show up in this model. It's just a grid of simple vectors. Importing Sketchup files.

Hi, i just install Mac OS Big Sur, adobe dimension freeze when i render. Never happend before with Catalina.Mac Pro 2019 3.2 Intel Xeon 16 Core / 192 Ram / AMD Radeo Pro Vega II 32G tx

Beginner user- I can't import any other downloaded model file format other than .gtlf/.glb, and sometimes that doesn't work either. Mainly a texture problem and I've tried a lot of different files and solutions, so I'm thinking is has to do w my software or laptop. any solutions?

I install adobe dimenstion for the first time in macbook, but then I change to a Windows PC.But my downloaded assets is not sync. I need to redownload manually one by one and add it to my library over again.Is there any solution? 

When I go to create a library of OBJ files - so, OBJ, MTL & MDL, and the image asset folders, all in the same folder - Dimension says it doesn't recognize those file types?

It's not in the share menu anymore, where is it???

Hello everyone! I'm not sure if it's a bug in Adobe Dimension or some settings that are wrong. I can't change the side, face, bevel and back from a Text object individually any more. It used to work a couple of days ago. Now it's always changing color and everything for the whole text and not only one side.Many thanks for your helpIvo

I've been trying for hours now to get an Iphone X (or newer) model into Dimension. But no 3D objects works to import. I only get error messages. It's really frustrating. I've tried a lot of free 3D models because I coudn't find a single one in adobe stock. I would like to use it as a mockup with website screen inside. 

I have been an Adobe Suite client for several years. I recently started usine Dimensions. I saw somewhere that if you create a scene in Dimensions, you can use that scene on the internet, presumably using iFrames. But iframes are not allowed anymore if the url pointed to in the iFrame is not the same domain as the site hosting the iFrame. Can a Dimension scene be shown on a website, if it can, how??   [Private info removed by Moderator.]

I am trying to figure out how to add crinkle paper to Dimension similar to what you see in this photo. Ideally it would be a model so I can color it different colors and insert it into my packaging displays. Any ideas?
