Dreamweaver

I've seen other posts on this but do not see an answer for me yet. I had Dreamweaver CS3 on anothe Windows 10 laptop, just got a new laptop with Windows 10. I instsalled Dreamweaver CS3 from original disk, but serial number not working.    I see no way to "deactivate" the dreamweaver on the original computer. There is no "deactivate" option under the "Help" menu.    Any ideas ? Thanks

Hi I'm used to working on two external monitors on my laptop and I'm setting up a workspace in Dreamweaver to use both external monitors and everything was fine.I recently changed my laptop (and docking station). Suddenly, my workspace doesn't work anymore: I save my workspace using monitors 2 and 3 but when I open Dreamweaver again, all my windows (except one on monitor 2) are scattered across monitor 3.My laptop is a Dell Vostro 5401 (with Nvidia graphic card) with an external USB c D6000 docking with two external monitors connected to the docking. 

Hello professionals, I'm sort of teaching myself responsive web design through w3schools online, using their css file and a sample template, using my phone to test, which has a screen resolution of 360x756 (portrait) and 756x360 (landscape). What I'm trying to do is hide the top navbar (replace with the hamburger icon) in landscape mode, as the list is too long and slips below the business name on the left. How do I do so using media queries? I have not used dreamweaver for some time and installed the new version now, but it will not open, but it is running behind somewhere because i can see it in the task list. I have tried to delete and reinstall but nothing works. I hope someone can help?Thank you Ann 

Has Dreamweaver added ED25519 Key support yet?   Here we are many years later, and everytime I try to connect to my servers with Dreamwaeaver using ED25519 Keys, it never seems to work.   I have been connecting this way fine with many other programs for years now.   It would be nice if Adobe would bring this up to date so it actually works.

A never-before situation occurred this morning that I cannot figure out or correct. Working on a Mac (Big Sur), I store my local files in a "lampp" folder that I've used reliably since mid-may. I'd previously used "xampp." When I opened DW 21.1, none of my files appeared in the list of files. So I checked the "lampp" folder in my Applications folder. As my first screenshot reveals, the folder was empty. I then tried to manage the DW app by selecting the local site folder. Sadly, after browsing for that lampp folder and its files, . . . . . . I got this message.  So I then double-clicked the lampp alias in the Applications folder and got this message. Finally, I did a Spotlight Search for the folder and its files and got this message.I clicked "Fix" but nothing was done.I don’t know what to do to locate the current files! The file names don’t get recognized. (The files in my old XAMPP folder are stale.) I assume that my files that h

I know this is probably an elementary problem, but on this particular webpage that I'm updating, I'm selecting a text block to resize a bit larger, and it seems to look just the way I want it. But after I save the changes and upload the new page, I refresh the Internet webpage and it hasn't changed at all. I even went into a different browser, thinking that perhaps it was cached, but it was the same there. Everything looks changed in DW, but it doesn't change on the Internet. Does anyone have any ideas? FYI, I just create basic pages; I'm not a professional webpage designer by any means.

I purchased dreamweaver less than a year ago but all of a sudden they want me to repurcahse another one. Has any one else experienced this issue. Unfortunately you cant contact adobe directly or customer service for questions. These guys are a reap off. 

I am getting so sick of things not doing what I tell it to. I could just scream! Why dows DW no do what I tell it to do? Why do I keep getting a white gap to the left of my SVG image?   Seriously,what is the point? I have put a border of the same colour - nothing changes, I have expented the width by 10 px (It's a 2,000px image) - & oh look at that, what a shock, nothing changes.   Oh hang on, no wait, that's right, it's not a hock becaue don't aything dare make my life just that little bit easer!      .image_container{ background-image:url("../assets/banners_borders/sludge_bottom.svg"); background-repeat: no-repeat; height: 200px; background-size: cover; width: 100%; }     As you seein the image below, start at the top left corner, you can see a slight indent in the blue & the next thing that doesn;t do what I am blatantely obviously telling it to do, is going to have an axe put throygh it.    Why?!

I have website 1 and edit abc.html of website 1 using DW installed on Desktop A, B, and C. I see that DW creates abc-desktopA.html, and abc-desktopB.html. How can one avoid such duplicate files? 

Hi there,Hoping to get a work around for Dreamweaver changing my file name to uppercase. For my membership software to work, the pages must be named index but it keeps reverting to Index. Is there any kind of setting I can change to stop this from happening? Anything else I can do? Thank you! 

Hi!I'm using DW 20.2. When I'm in Live View or split Live View, and I make a change to text or code, DW pops up a dialog box asking me to "Save changes to [template name]?  I've searched everywhere I can think of, but I can't find out how to turn this annoyting feature off. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!John

what more to say than what is already said in the title. This morning, needing to work on a plug in for Wordpress, I launch the whole environment, that is to say the various tools, local server and test environment... of which Dreamweaver is a part. First point, everything starts, we'll say, normally... except Dreamweaver (v15425) which takes more than a minute to start and another minute before leaving the hand. OK... I launch a good old control shift F having taken care to select the folder of the ad hoc plug in... and I look for a field name which must undergo a modification in relation to a new structuring of the database... the search is carried out quickly, and the opening of the single file which results from it also. then, as soon as I start a selection in the code... I got a DW blocking... freezing... the interface becomes clearer... bad omen... almost instantly, the fan of the machine starts to run... quickly old reflex, ctr shift esc... and the dreamweaver line starts to run

I have a news website that was originally created in Adobe GoLive and has had a Google News site rating since 2003.  There have been a few iterations, but it's time to totally reconstruct the tempates.There are quite a fw tags for the basic items that the Google News panel would prefer to see for the latest "Tranparency" guidelines that changed in June 2021. I've yet to see an adequate template that works with both Google News and Dreamweaver. I don't want to use any WordPress solution.thanks

I edit a simple Html file using DW and want to add a checkmark https://stackoverflow.com/questions/658044/tick-symbol-in-html-xhtml I see how one adds a symbol using DW at  https://www.uwec.edu/kb/article/adobe-dreamweaver-cs3-additional-character-formatting/ But in my DW I only see  "html->insert->characters" not "html->insert->special characters" and do not see the tick symbol anyway. What will be the next step?    

I want to have a downloadable pdf version of my ebooks on my site. The customer would click on the payment button, which then directs them to the particular pdf for them to download. How to I set this up in Dreamweaver? I know I'd have to upload the pdf to my server, just not sure how to set the pages up. 

I have attempted moving the link around inside the div, moving the div in and out of the body.... copy and paste different peoples instructions i found on google, nothing works to get this banner image to hyperlink. I'm sure I am missing something simple.  Why are my parentheses, brackets, and single qutoes smaller than the rest of the text? How do I fix this?

Or maybe my computer is too old? I have Mac Pro 5.1 from 2012 with Mojave 10.14.6. The app is very slow, everything I do follows by minutes of highly working 12-core CPU (300 % and higher). If I change something in the code or open a new file it takes long time to start working. I had issues with beach ball before in Photoshop but that has disappeared. I can’t continue like this. Work in DW is a pain. I have tried to install Big Sur via open core, but that didn’t help. I guess the machine is out of date. Every app from Adobe is slow but DW is worst. I have also problems with Swedish signs as å, ä and ö. I have to change this letters into a code, otherwise they will be shown as other symbols. I pay for DW every month so I feel that I have to use it, otherwise I pay money for nothing.

For the last week, every time I attempt to use Adobe Dreamweaver, the software freezes or hangs while using it.  SOmetimes it will also go into program not responding mode.  It takes hours to complete a task that used to take only a few minutes.  I am using Dreamweaver 2020.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I am completing a project for school and I just created a new html file. Everything went fine until I created a css file to connect and 2 sheets are attached and I have no idea what is happening. In my folder I only have one css file yet 2 are showing connected and the problem one says it is not on my local disk. I have no idea how to fix this problem but no css is showing on my page because of this. I appreciate the help!
