Dreamweaver

I had a bit of a scare yesterday. All of a sudden, my older but dependable Mac Book went black without any reason.All went well, and it worked again beautifully.But it got me thinking about what to do with all my Dreamweaver work if something really happens?Can someone help me? Has the "commit image size" in the properties inspector been removed in a recent update? That was handy for resizing images that are too large right in DW and, upon hitting that button, saving it over the original. Is the only option now to open the image in PS and resizing it?

Hi there, Working on my first website with Dreamweaver CS6 and wish to create an image map with hotspots. I'm in Design mode and yet when I highlight an image to draw a hotspot area with the polygon tool I'm confronted with an empty grey box. Presumably the above with polygon and other tools bottom left is what I should see however all that I see is this > Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Garry.

I have a DW page open showing.both code and desighh.  For whatever reason, the links, which are shown in the code and are accurate accurate, are not  seen in the design, only a small blank square. What can be done to correct this?  Thank you

I have the same problem. I think having the abiity to Auto Indent the Tags while coding gives one the ability to code much faster. Most other editors provide this feature on defualt becuase it's essential. Is there anyone out there? Who can help set the DW Editor to Auto Indent your Tags. I know it can be done becuase it does it for the instructor on the DW tutorials when he presses Enter on his tags.

So it appears that my psychic powers have struck again. Once again, somethng I try and do, doesnt bloody work.  What a shock. Who knew?! Why does my Testing Server not work? Why do I get the "Hmmm… can't reach this page" Why do I get the "localhost refused to connect." message? This happens despite me doing everyting correctly, I select "Site Setup" > "Local/Network", "Server Folder" being the Root, & "Web URL" being "http://localhost/xxx/"I then click "Save" and select Testing"I really do not have time for software to behave this way, if I tell software to do something, it does it. That's what it's programmed to do, not to behave like a disobidient ill-disciplined child.  Whatcould possibly be the reason being DW deciding that, once again, it;s going to make my life difficult? 

I have designed a Contact Us page in Photoshop, a full page image, and I want to put a Contact form on it. Sure seems to me there should be a way to do that. Please see attached Contact Us page. Any help would be greatly apprecited. Thanks

Hi,Basic CSS question here.I like using<a> tags w/ image backgrounds as gallery thumbnails because of how easy it is to specify css :hover effects. However, I'm going for something a bit more complex than what I'm used to this time; and have a feeling the solution lies in css commands I'm less familiar with.There are two things I would like to see happen on :hoverThe regular-state background image goes dark & blurs, via filter: brightness(25%) blur(2px)Text (sharp) appears over the (blurred) result.As we know, the text will adopt whatever properties are applied on the container; but even if you wrap said text in <span> tags with filter:blur(0) !important applied, it won't override the parent's state (which is now dark & blurry, so the text is as well).How do I go from a clear image (ideally, a BG on an <a> tag since it will be clickable) to something like the first few seconds of this video (minus the movement). I had someone else create my website in Dreamweaver and I don't have those files but I want to delete that website so I can use my domain name in a different program.  What can I do?

After installing DW 2021 I clicked on something and the Application bar with File Edit View Insert etc went away and I can't get it back. 

Hello, I have recently taken on a dreamweaver made site that utilizes templates. I am not able to see the changes I made to the main template in the remote site pages they are dependant on.  I'm going to Tools>Update Pages>Update pages that use the template.There are no errors but remote files and live site never actually show the template changes I made (removal of a certain script). The script is still there. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

There is no Window > Insert. That's part of the bar that's missing.

I have an old website that has frames. I am trying to convert the frame content into a table instead to get rid of the frames. Is there anyway of copy and pasting the contents of the frame into a new table?

HelloI am new to DW 2021 CC and have encountered a problem inserting .mp4 video links into DW. After I click HTML5 Video,  in the Properties panel I choose an .mp4 video in a local folder and then get the following alert:   I don't see how one can choose an .mp4 file in addition to initially choosing it. I am relatively new to Dreamweaver. However, recently on some pages I'm working with, I will select a CSS property to change in the properties window and when I click on any of the properties all of them disappear and the window goes blank. It does this is design and live view. I've shut down the program over and over, restarted my computer, all updates are up to date. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

Session not working in IIS or WAMP using PHP, MySQL, Webassist and Dreamweaver on localhost .  All pages were developer months ago and are working on GoDaddy server.  All five websites are no-longer recording the data from Store Result.  Evenwrote a test page. I am the only one in our small non-profit organization that has ever worked on our website over the past 20+ years.And I am in a quandary about how to keep the bulk of our hundreds of thousands of pages on our old website which I created in DW12 and transfer it over to DW21.1 on the cloud, while also having a new opening page that will then link to all our other web pages, without changing the previous home page link, or deleting it.I configured our new DW21.1 with our server settings and pointing to our website files and that works. I created the new opening page already with DW21.1 with a responsive design and will eventually change other pages on the website as well. However, for now how do I use the new opening page (sometimes called a landing page) without overwriting our old home page which we want to keep, and keep all the links from inside the site which point back to it?Sorry, this all sounds pretty confusing.Anyone out there willing to help me out?Thank you all.

Every time I make a change to the code on a page in DW, it prompts me to Save.How do I turn this awful feature off?Thank you.NJ
