Dreamweaver 20.2 / 21.0 FTP won't connect... Filezilla connects just fine

Hi, last week, Adobe Dreamweaver 21.0 suddenly stopped connecting to my FTP server giving me the "An FTP error occurred... not authorized to make the connection due to local firewll blocking FTP data." When I try to connect using Filezilla to the same FTP server, it connects with no issues. I uninstalled Dreamweaver 21.0 and put Dreamweaver 20.2 back on my computer and was able to connect again.  I haven't used Dreamweaver in a few days and today when I attempted to connect to the same server, I am getting the same FTP error in version 20.2 now, too.  It makes me thing it's something in my computer, but I can't seem to figure out what. I have checked very firewall setting that I can find (I have my Windows Firewall turned off and am not explicitly blocking any ports on my Router... I hadn't changed anything that I knew of between the time that Dreameweaver FTP was working last week and when it suddenly stopped working. I can't seem to find any new informat

Dreamweaver 2018 will not work since termination of Creative Cloud

I purchased Dreamweaver and then a year later decided to try Creative Cloud for one year. When my contract came to an end it was no longer financially sound to continue CC I cancelled it. To my shock, my original installation of Dreamweaver will no longer work. I have tried to reinstall without success. I need this program. I wasn't warned that my original program would no longer work after installing Creative Cloud.

Problem with text area

I'm writing a website from scrach and i my main body content its been overwrite on my topnav bar, i dont even what i got to do.I had some top Margin but it didn't work. i dont know if my code wrong or somethnig.also i notice that my body section have just a size of 1032 x 32 i dont know if it for something and i dont know how to change it. Please help

Dropdown menu disappears

The following style and code creates a dropdown menu. I place the cursor over the hamburger and the menu opens, but when I move the cursor to pick a link the menu disappears. I've read about this problem, but I think that I have it right, but obviously I don't. Where to paste HTML, CSS & Javascript code from an external source into Dreamweaver 2020 (Mac)

Hello Adobe Community, ***I am absolutely sorry if this post already exists and if it does can you PLEASE redirect me to it or atleast the right direction*** Note: WARNING: Level 1000 Noob/Stupidity. I already created a "Site Folder" and within it, I already have the index.html page created. I am completely NEW to web designing/development and I have the most embarrassing problem that I cannot figure out for the life of me. I am trying to copy/paste HTML, CSS & JS code from this website/artist https://codepen.io/paulnoble/pen/yVyQxv into Dreamweaver. I have googled/youtube on "where to paste HTML, CSS, Javascript codes in Dreamweaver” and I ended up with all sorts of results and majority of them did not work (most definitely my fault).   Search results:  HTML code can be placed anywhere in between the <body> tags (which worked for me when i pasted the HTML code from the website mentioned above) and the results ended up looking like this

How to word query

I want to display records from a table to show only those with one of 3 values in one field.  I'm enclosing the offending code. $Cycle=$_GET['CycleYear'];$SQL_rs1 = "SELECT * FROM RCL_selections WHERE RCL_selections.r_Cycle_Year = $Cycle ORDER BY RCL_selections.r_date ASC, RCL_selections.r_seq ASC";$rs1 = $sainttim->query($SQL_rs1);$error = $rs1->errorInfo();if (isset($error[2])) die($error[2]);$totalRows_rs1 = $rs1->rowCount(); $Cycle contains the desired value.  But I get an error at line $error = because $rs1 is not an object, so obviously the query failed.  I've tried substituting ? for $Cycle in the. SQL, but then cannot work out how to phrase the query action.  I've tried every combination I can think of.  Did a prepare, bound variables, used execute, etc.  But I need to a return an array of records. Any help will be appreciated.!Thanks,Gail

Using Dreamweaver 2019. My site manager stop working asking me whenever I click on Live to upload my files to my host, I now get a error stating I need to add a remote server in site manager. I have my site manager listed. Been working without issues for the longest time, now out of nowhere it won't upload or test. I've went so far to uninstall dreamweaver and reinstall and recreate site manager and it still won't work but keeps asking me to click the + sign to add a remote site when it's already in there. I've scanned for virus's and malware - nothing, clean. Don't know what to do. Any help to get this working again would be appreciated. Also, another issue is that which happened simultanelously, I was putting together a page and just before/prior to this happening my page wouldnt read my css files which it was working, that stopped at the same time the site manager stopped. Help please. Thank you

Add Element Icon (+)

I am trying to add the "class .wrapper" to three elements in the DOM Panel.  When I select the first element the Add Element Icon (+) appears on the left side, as it should.  But when I select more than one item using the "shift key"  the Add Element Icon (+) disappears on the left side.  So I am at a loss on how to proceed.  The exercise that I am using is in Chapter 7 (Working With Templates) under the (Inserting an editabele region) section in Adobe Dreamweaver 2020 release Classroom In A Book. So far, this book has been absolutely great, and this is the first glitch that I've encountered.Thanks for your time and consideration!

dropdown menus not working

Hello.  I had my navbar in and it was working fine.  When I added a  different logo that was a little bigger all of my dropdowns stopped dropping down.   Would anyone know why?Thanks BG

Old DW MX will no longer register. Any way to go on?

HelloFor quite a few years I have used DW discs purchased from resellers.If I had to change computers I had to reinstall.At this stage, Macromedia won't allow re-registrastion (or any registration?) of any old versions; only the new subscription stuff.I use the program to maintain 3 small sites, and it isn't worth the current annual cost.Is there any affordable way to continue with DW?Got to say I have browsed over some other WYSIWYGs, and searched for "programs that will read DW sites" or "best substitute for DW" and come up with nothing particularly attractive.Any advice for me? Thanks,denno

DW CC not upoading image files with page

Have recently updated to 21.0 (although this might be unrelated).  When I ftp a recently edited or newly created page the new image files are not uploaded with the page and have to be uploaded separately!Any ideas?

After upgrading to macOS Big Sur, the display of dreamweaver in my system is abnormal.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues and have found a solution? I have included a screen-shot below as reference.

Dreamweaver cs6 not remembering FTP details

With the October Windows 10 update I now find that Dreamweaver CS6 is not remembering my FTP account name and password. I can see there are entries in the registry editor but for some reason CS6 is not recovering them.I can type them in each time or even delete the old entry and import it again, but it never remembers the details when the computer is switched off. It does remember the details if the computer is left switched on or even put into standby mode.I think this might be a windows 10 issue but I don't know where or what permissions to set.Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Dreamweaver FTP error connection

I've recently added a new site to my dreamweaver CS6 version and have inputted the correct credentials etc but when clicking the Test, I'm getting the message "An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error. Please try the operation again".This is not my first website hosting via dreamweaver and the others tested out fine. Cant quite understand why this isn't working. Anyone experience any similar issues and how they managed to resolve?

How do you add Alt text for gifs on Dreamweaver

I want to add alt text to my gifs and, I have written it into the alt text but, it isn't showing. I don't know if it just works for images but, I want to have the alt text being show alongside my gifs on the site. I had attached the screenshot to help provide contexts in wanting to add text with the image.

Unable to select text in code view (Dreamweaver 2021) with a mouse in Mac OS Big Sur

Hi, I am unable to select a line and lines of code when i use my mouse to try and select it. I am also unable to set the position of where I would like to add code with my mouse and to work around that I have to double click on a line and then move the entry point with my keyboard arrows. Is there a fix for this? Thank you

What happened to the FTP To remote server in Dreamweaver 2121?

My Dreamweaver has lost the arrows on the top of hte file list  (in Developer work space) that triggers uploading the selected files to the remote server.       I dont remember doing anything to hide them.      How do I re-enable the FTP function?   When I  look at the site definitions,   the Remote server is still defined and Dreamweaver can still connect ok,  but I am unable to find how to send my files to the remote server.   Any ideas what I've done?  CheersMike KearWindsor, NSW, Austalia

Navbar dropdown hover

Hello.  Is it advisable to make a bootstrap 4 dropdown on the navbar hover?  I have read that it should only be used for the largest screen size.  Any thoughts? Does anyone know of an active forum to ask questions about Bootstrap 4 on the web? Thanks.

I cannot find anything related to Dreamweaver at Adobe MAX sessions.  Why are there none, zero related to Dreamweaver?  No love from Adobe?

why is my search bar not working?

If you go here:http://ancestry.higgsy.co.uk/the search worksIf you go to my dev version here:http://v38.ancestry.higgsy.co.uk/it doesn't work.  I think the first one works by passing the search term to a google search.  The second one I got by inserting it from the DW Bootstrap Insert panel (I hope the nice Mr Osgood will not harass me for that!) What else do I need to add to the second one to make it work?  I have searched for the answer but all the tutorials I look at seem to concentrate on using CSS to format it, not tell me how it actually works - many thanks
