Dreamweaver

Hi Fellow Weavers.I have a few very simple responsive sites that are all doing the same thing. In Explorer, all elements float center as designed. They are also fine in Edge. Then we get to Chrome. First show/fresh cache shows all elements and containers centered as planned, but a refresh (or subsequent visit to the same page) sends all containers flush left, where they stay until I clear cache. Then it's back to center. Here's the kicker. It stays centered in Chrome ingognito through multiple refreshes. So it HAS to be attached to regular cache, right? I am thinking maybe a Chrome setting? Either way, it's driving me a bit crazy. Any ideas/advice/answers/code would be greatly appreciated. Here's one of the sites that this happens on: https://tidalrestorations.com/ Thanks. Andre, NC

How can I get three dropdown items in a bootstrap 4 navbar.  The below example is for one dropdown in the navbar.  It has a id="navbardropdown" so I   cannot copy this code therefore for the second or third dropdown , since I cannot repeat the id="navbardropdown" three times in the code.  This is bootstrap 4 dropdown code .  Of course I am new to this and working on it all day,  so appreciate your help.   <li class="nav-item dropdown"><a class="nav-link dropdown-toggle" href="#" id="navbarDropdown" role="button" data-toggle="dropdown" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="false">Classes</a><div class="dropdown-menu" aria-labelledby="navbarDropdown"><a class="dropdown-item" href="#">Studio Classes</a><a class="dropdown-item" href="#">Private Class or Consultation </a></div></li>

I would like to create a dynamic website. I want to do it in the correct way, using Dreamweaver. Having started several tutorials on Adobe's (some admittedly in 'archive' folders which I didnt notice initially) - they all seem to be about using outdated insecure methods that require adding extensions to enable insecure behaviours. I was initially going to use PHP and SQL. Are these still recommended technologies and it is simply the live refreshing in Dreamweaver that is insecure? I am happy to develop without that. Can anybody point me at a good overview/tutorial for an experienced programmer new to dynamic website design?

I want the images to float horizontally, but they shows up vertically in Dreamweaver.What do I do wrong?

I am using tabs in Dreamweaver using bootstraps-4.3.1.css The tab works fine on a web browser but when I view it on an iPhone or iPad and I keep clicking between the tab, in the end, you see a white box around the text within the tab as shown in photo below. Not sure how to get rid of this error?? It does not show up all the time and sometimes you have to press it lots of times before the box appears  http://tcdesignstamford.co.uk/test/test.html 

Has anyone imported After Effects projects into Dreamweaver without using a third party software, and if so is there a tutorial ?    [Edited by moderator for clarity.]

Hi, I'm new in Adobe Dreamweaver and I leaned that it doesn't support all of the programming languages that can be used to build a website. So i would like to know how if i build my website with dreamweaver and its basics supported programming languages (HTML,CSS, JAVASCRIPST, etc), How can i programm some parts of my website with extras programming language? Do i need another software or there is an option in DreamWeaver? i would aprreciate somebody could give me on this.   [Edited by moderator.]

Bit of a generla question this, so apologies in advance, but is there any drawbacks, or reasons why a websie shouldn't' be put together using Flexbox coding? We're looking at putting a new website together for a client, only a small one with five pages or so,  and have experimented with the code a bit, but is there any reason why it's better to avoid Flexbox for now, or are any issues with older browsers notably Internet Explorer possible to work around pretty straightforward? Thanks!

Be great if someone could post here a link to the correct way of starting a dynamic website using the current Dreamweaver and PHP/SQL. The depreceated methods that are documented on Adobe's site are easy to find but not the recommended one(s). Are there recommended ways to connect Dreamweaver to a PHP server?

I have rly challenges uploading from DWI have made a quite simpel website with home + 5 pages.I have saved all, but when I upload I get former pages that I have removes from the local view and not the last saved version.What do I do wrong?   

Whilst helping out in another thread today I wanted to toggle a Fontawesome icon - fa-bars to fa-minus. Usually swapping Fontawesome icons is a no brainer using javascript toggle, as in the example below: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_js_toggle_like_dislike Try it with fa-bars and fa-minus - why doesn't it work like the example which toggles fa-thumbs-up/fa-thumbs-down??? EditAlthough it work the other way around toggling fa-minus to fa-bars.......... Maybe I'm still too full of beer.

I have just purchased a second hand copy of Dreamweaver CS4. When I look at the properties inspector there is no provision to create a link. The box where the link is typed in is missing and worse than that, there is no "Point to file" icon so I can't drag a link either I have been using CS3 portable where these items are visibleCan anyone please tell me how to overcome the problems please?

Morning to all on here, jsut a quick question which I can only find partially answered – we're looking to do a nav bar with 5 categories in Dreamweaver that is equally spaced across the width of a website, that still has the hamburger icon when it's viewed on smaller screens, but without using any Bootstrap coding? Have seen a flexbox solution, though that doesn't collapse into a hamburtger icon when the menu is viewed on a smaller screen Thanks for any help!

Hi, I have just started receiving the above message since the recent updates. I'm guessing something is outdated now and it may be in the rather ancient templates I have the pages in. Can anyone offer any hints or help? AFAIK I don't use Coldfusion.

I have in style made a div ID container with autosize. But wwhen I add that to the images they change size and position. I have sat the images to 15% in size, but they get much smaller !How do I avoid that?

I have Dreamweaver CS6 and suddenly I cannot open the Extension manager.I can see the icon under Start and if I click that I can see the icon in the taskbar.If I hover over the task bar icon then a small blank image of  the extension manager appears but nothing else.I have a new extension to install but cannot carry this out without the Extension Manager working.Can anyone please assist me?Thank you very much.John

downloaded a trial of dreamweaver from CC  for Mac and managed to set up site, its just a trial to get used to using DW but not understanding it fully i deleted the templates, now having read a little more i want to use them to set all the pages to be the same, but file> save as template and tools > templates are all greyed outi deleted the preferences and uninstalled DW and re downloaded but still the same. how can i get back the option to set up and use templates in DW

I recently reinstalled my CS5 Design Premium in a new Computer.  When I opened Dreamweaver and tried to go to the Dreamweaver Help files, I got a message that "the help system cannot be launched because the help folder is missing".  Does anyone know how to get that folder onto my computer?  I am using Windows 10, and downloaded the installation file for CS5 that an Adobe tech sent me a link to, but they apparently didn't want to provide any more support than that and referred me to the forum. 

Hi, I had a terrible experience with support. I called twice and spoke with different people, both told me the reason that I could no longer create a new html file was b/c I needed to update my operating system. I broke down and did this, as well as updated my application to the latest versions. It limited my plugins, and denied access to systems that are no longer compatible with the updated system. AND STILL, I cannot create a new file. I am beyond frustrated.   If anyone knows why I am unable to create a new html file, please let me know. The create button, when pushed, does nothing.  

Adobe Dreamweaver 2020 CC is missing the icon required to connect to remote server to upload files. I am having Adobe Dreamweaver for about six months. Adobe upgraded dreamweaver for 2020 CC in November 2019. Before November 2019 I was successfully able to connect and upload files to remote server as when I hit the "files" on the right side next to CC libraries, I was getting the option to upload files to remote server and this option is missing in Dreamweaver 2020 CC. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated. 

Updated to Dreamweaver 2020 and will no longer update to hosting server.  Tried all FTP options and nothing worked.  Checked log file and there are no log file contents.  Thoughts?
