In Dreamweaver in the CC Libraries panel, when I right click > edit on an image Photoshop is launched by default. I want to change the default to Adobe Fireworks.I have changed the file associates in Adobe Bridge to associate all image formats with Fireworks and already have Fireworks set up as the only editor for all image formats in Dreamweaver prefs.Nothing to do with Windows 10 default file associations either.Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.
How can I fix the problem that the CSS file gets cached. I make a lot of changes in the CSS file and it would be great if you don't need first to clear the browser cache. Thanks for helping!
I built a site using dreamweaver which displays fine in all browsers on the computer, but when I visit the site on android device the images justify to the left. I have all of the alignments set to center but it seems to ignore this. I can't figure out the issue here, please help... thanks Here is the site: http://skydivefitzgerald.com/
Hello, all,When you use CTRL-N or click FILE > NEW to create a new document, a document is opened and it contains the basic HTML start (doctype, head tags, body tags, etc.)I'd like to customize this, a little bit. What file do I need to edit?V/r,^ _ ^
I had a perfectly fine working website until that last two upgrades from Dreamweaver. All the pages where based on templates, which had the CSS links in them. Design preview worked great. Live preview worked great. Now, that is all gone.I call up an existing page and it no longer previews correctly. CSS styles no longer appear in the properties dropdown. This has been an issue since the last to upgrades. Now, the same site, with the same pages, will not find the CSS links. I've spent so much time trying to resolve this issue I'm ready to loose it. Does anyone know what when wrong with Dreamweaver?Due to the nature of my website, I work directly from the server. It is then updated thru a version control system to the live server. This is a requirement of our quality system. I can not use the tools in DW to do this. I don't know if that is the issues, but Dreamweaver seems to want to force the use of their system.Help!
Hello,I am trying to add the schema mark-up to this website that I have created...For the artist listings pages (like this page), we want to have our 5-star rating display on Google.I've done as much research as I can but keep getting different information as to how we get this working. Do we need to add the schema mark-up to the actual stars (near the footer of each site which links to our testimonials page) or do we just add some schema code within the frontend code somewhere?Initially, the code looked like this:<script type="application/ld+json">{ "@context": "http://schema.org/", "@type": "Product", "name": "Wedding Bands", "image": "https://www.tailored-entertainment.com/wedding-bands", "description": "Professional UK-based live bands for hire.", "brand": "MY COMPANY NAME", "aggregateRating": { "@type": "AggregateRating", "ratingValue": "5", "bestRating": "5",
I have the above suite installed on my Windows 10 laptop. I primarily use Dreamweaver to update web sites.Unfortunately, somehow when I try to open any program in the suite, I get a 213:11 error. I can delete/reinstall the programs, but I will lose the Dreamweaver Site Definitions. I have copied all the existing ACS 5 folders to an external hard drive.I have tried the Adobe Recommended "fix-it" scripts, but they do not work on Windows 10My questions:1. Where exactly does Dreamweaver save the site definitions? If they are in the Dreamweaver folder tree, perhaps I could copy to the reinstalled Dreamweaver.2. Does anyone have any other suggestion? Thanks in advanceGail Thomas
I have been using DW for 15 years+. my previous version was 2016 and i just started using 2018 last week. Didn't think it would be such a big learning curve...One of the small annoyance i have noted, is that I can no longer select/mark code in the code window, and CTRL-Drap it, to copy it else where in the page, like a few lines up or down. So now i have to mark, CTRL-C, click elsewhere and then CTRL-V.Using Win 10can i get the old functionality back?
My new rep from my hosting company doesn't know Dreamweaver at all, but is willing to come on Teamviewer on my computer to assist me with Dreamweaver settings. Because I would like his help in providing a more secure hosting site so that the site goes from HTTP to HTTPS, can someone perhaps create a small template or screenshot here that I can show him what fields he'll need to fill in?Thanks.
Just for info users may wish to read -https://theblog.adobe.com/upcoming-changes-to-creative-cloud-os-support-for-windows-and-mac/Even some Windows 10 versions will no longer be able to use CC.I'm not a mac user, but some mac os versions are also loosing support.

HilariousSo whilst Im accused of a personal attack its very OK for an ACP to make personal attacks:'So it's like talking to a brick wall' - I presume that remark posted by Nancy O was addressed at me.'calling someone an amatuer', 'or calling someone a brick wall' - what's the difference do please tell. Please show yourself and explain if you dont want to look too silly. The slience is deafeningIncidentally, I was called a brick wall first.Just thought I would clarify that.
Hi,I recently worked on a website with the newest version of dreamweaver. I was wondering if it is possible to take that existing website into dreamweaver CS6 without corrupting it.
I have created a hyperlink to an external site and it when the link is viewed in live mode it appears ok. But, when placed into a live site it is not visible, appears to be a blank space but the title shows up when hovering. Thank in advance for your help.
Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help. Following a hard drive failure I need to reinstall DW Ultradev 4.0 - I maintain a number of complex data driven sites which were developed in UD it will be easier to continue in UD rather than have to rewrite them to use a more up to date version.I do have the media and serial number, however this was an upgrade and during the re-install it ask for the serial number of the product I am upgrading from. I have had an on-line chat with Adobe support but the end result of that was that I was advised to go back to the reseller for help which is a bit difficult as it was so long ago.Does anyone have any idea how I might get around this problem and get UD reinstalled? Or have I lost it for good and I am going to have to finally bit the bullet and get a new version? Thanks for any help, Eddie
With this line <form name="myForm" id="myForm" action="manageMySQLGuests.php" method="post"> I cannot avoid manageMySQLGuests.php to appear as a page whilst only CRUD transactions with MySQL occur in this PHP file (so that nothing needs to appear as I manage failures in another way).
Can I upgrade Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 for use with Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6?
I'm new to CC and would like help with being able to view a page on a browser before uploading the page. On CS5, it was a breeze. Is there a way to do it besides using File > Real-time Preview? I ask because, when I select that action, I get a new window with a "sad face on a phone" icon, followed by this text:You tried to access an external HTML page, which can not be opened on the device for preview. Open the page in Dreamweaver to preview the page on the device. Please advise how I'm to view my current page before uploading it. And, might there be more than one way to do it?Thanks, very much.
I have done something which prevents the Design View from working. It displays the top several lines of the page, leave a gap of about 1/2 inch, and then shows the very bottom of the page. Also, note there is no Scroll Bar at the right side of the Design View. The problem is unique to this .htm page. Other pages display correctly as shown below:Note on this page that the Scroll Bar is shown on the right side of the Design View. The .htm files themselves do render correctly in a browser. It appears to be simply a problem in Design View of one page. I am using Dreamweaver V 11.0, Build 4909. I have tried closing and re-opening Dreamweaver as well as re-booting. These steps have not helped. I have looked through all the drop-down menus but nothing is obviously wrong to me.Thanks for your ideas.jim
I am running Dreamweaver CC 2018 on Win 10 Pro, and ever since I pasted in some php code I get a red doctype <!doctype html> (HTML5 Tag), also a red opening <?php and red ?> closing tag in spite of where I open and close a php tag in the document. No matter how many php tags I type in with opening and closing php tags they are still all red, and they are also giving a validation error through DW's validation File > Validate > Current Document (W3C). Here's my code just in case it is needed:<?php // capture the data entered into the form by user // variables created to capture the form data $rate = 0; $hours = 0; // variables created $overtime = 0; $regularTime = 0; $regularTotal = 0; $overtimeTotal = 0; // conditional statement that calculates the user's amount of paycheck if ( $hours > 40 ) { $overtime = $hours;$regularTime = 40;$overtimetotal = $hoursWorked * $
Yeah... I'm sorry for the vague title, but I have a vague problem.I will try to explain it as good as I can, because my English not my native language.I working on a website with dreamweaver. I set up a extern server and a test server. But Dreamweaver is kind of refreshing every 15-20 seconds. It's very annoying. For example: When I open files on my right sidebar it collapses every 15-20 seconds. And the dreamweaver window glitches for a second. And it is not only in dreamweaver. For example, when I want to test a quick CSS thing in Chrome, the browser also glitch sometimes. And when I'm in de the middle of typing a CSS rule it disappears. So I can start over. But I have to be quick. Because in 20 sec's the glitch/refreshing is happening again. This thing only happens when I have Dreamweaver active. When I close Dreamweaver, everything is oke.I use Dreamweaver CC (18.2) on a Macbook (late 2013) with macOS High Sierra (v10.13.6).And I made to movies of the examples I described before. Can an
My hosting site has made changes in my Manage Site from FTP to SFTP. I can assess my files, but when I try to upload my edited files, they don't upload. Any thoughts about what I've got here in Manage Site? Should I make any edits or changes that might help me upload new files? Thanks.
I have a problem with one of my pages - it takes more than 30 seconds to switch from code to design views after any editing. There is a part of code below. Just insert it, switch to design/back to code, change something and switch to design again.Originally the file was bigger and timeout was much bigger too (My patience ran out before ) - DW asked "UNKNOWN scenario is working too long, stop it?" or smth like this several times.I tried to reinstall DW, i disabled all lints/hints/linked files - the problem is still the same. DW version 2017.1 9583, Win 10 corporate 64bit.<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">var lst = parseInt('{s.last}'), targetdate, sec;$(function() { $('#nextq').click(function() { var act = $( "#tabs" ).tabs( "option", "active" ); $( "#tabs" ).tabs( "option", "active", act-0+1 ); });}); function SetButtons() { var act = $(
My hosting company changed some info on Manage Site from FTP to SFTP.Two issues:1) Today, as I try to upload some info to my site, Dreamweaver won't make the edits/changes no matter how much I clean cache, reboot, etc. I am receiving the following. Have no idea what it means or what to do to so as to remove this error. Thanks for any thoughts on how to resolve these latest issues.
