Dreamweaver

Hello all.  I am new to this forum so please be kind I have been using my Creative Suite (CS5) now for many happy years.  Just recently upgraded my Mac to High Sierra.  Now while PhotoShop seems to work fine I cannot connect to the internet to update my webpage with DreamWeaver.  The box opened with '..not optimised etc' then opened up my webpage and all so I could make changes, but when it came to connecting it just said there was a ftp error and my password and login was incorrect.  I haven't changed anything so unsure of what that means.  Either way I can't get my changes uploaded to the internet.My Acrobat seems to work fine.Any suggestions please and if I may request you don't get too technical on me as I am still an amateur Thanks all, and I apologise if I have done something wrong here because I don't know my way around this forum and am a first-time user.  Be gentle Patricia

I followed Jim Maivald's book in setting up my Bootstrap Navbar. I got most of it to work, but have not succeeded in centering the navbar. (I couldn't get it to wok in the tutorial either--perhaps there is a mistake there.) Can anyone help?The page is the home page ("index") of Dominiquebello.com

I've been using Dreamweaver for years.  Recently, I had to upgrade to a new Windows 10 box, Creative Cloud, and the new version of Dreamweaver.  After finding my local files, I went to edit, and found I was unable to do so.  I can see the file in the index off to the right, and I can see the full live view version of my existing file to the left.  But, what do I need to do to be enable editing, and saving changes I've made.  Pretty basic stuff, right?David

OK...Been reading everything I can get my hands on (relative to column size, in bootstrap); & working to learn DW CC 2018 tools/functions like mad...& although I am making progress...I can't seem to wrap my head around columns (& their appropriate containers), just yet:Here's the site I'm designing; & what I have thus far:Burlington County Area of NA / Home page 1) On the div row directly under the 3 main columns...the one that contains the paragraph w/ the text 'DRUG PROBLEM'...I can't seem to figure out how to manipulate that entire area to have a shorter height (div AND paragraph...but not the size of the text).2) I added a nav bar below that, which looks nice (& functions correctly)...but I wanted the brand and all the links to be centered (like almost everything else on that home page); & can't figure that out.  Not sure if it should have been a div row w/ a text-center class; and then the nav bar nested in that?...but I need help w/ that as well.&nbsp

Whenever I try to FTP files to my remote server and it involves creating a folder on the destination server, transfer fails. I have checked the remote server which uses Filezilla FTP server and it does have all the necessary permissions to facilitate transfer. When I run into errors of this nature, I end up using coreftp to complete the transfer. Does anyone know how I can get DW to send the correct makedir command?

Greetings,I have a page with four video files. Ultimately I'd like to add a frame (i.e. picture frame) around each of these, and the areawithin that frame will be hyperlinked. My search to find the solution to this has been unfruitful. I've talked with one personwho says that if you watch this on a phone, and turn it sideways all the hyperlinks will be stacked, instead of intheir designated positions (horizontally across the screen). I sure would be grateful for any suggestions.

I need to prevent Dreamwaver CC 18 from popping open the warning: "This file has been modified outside of Dreamweaver." The file has NOT been modified, but I think a time stamp issue on my network drive is confusing Dreamweaver. The warning pops up every few minutes and is making me crazy. Checking the option to not remind me again doesn't work. I'm using the OS X version.This warning doesn't consistently popup with earlier versions of Dreamweaver, but I want to use CC 18. The warning doesn't seem to happen as much with Windows version.The issue is similar to: Repeated "This file has been modified outside of Dreamweaver" warnings – Adobe Dreamweaver CC: Feature IdeasAfter posting this, I noticed a setting in Preferences that might help. I'm going try it today. It is the setting here:Preferences > File Types / Editors > "Reloaded modified files"I set the value to "Never". I hope this helps.

Hi allIn Dreamweaver CS6 I'm able to copy and paste HTML content from live-view to MS Dynamics 365 CRM template editor.However, trying to do so in Dreamweaver CC (10155 build) only text is copied. All images, colours, links, etc. are not copied/pasted in CRM template editor.Is there any way to fix this so I can copy and paste Dreamweaver CC live-view to CRM email templates?Thanks in advance for your help.Cheers,Boris

I'm using an iMac with macOS High Sierra 10.13.3In Dreamweaver CC 2018 18.1 when I save a SCSS file I get the following output error. Red X,Line: --, Column:  1, File:  stylesheet.scssError/Warning: /LibraryRuby/Site/2.3.0/rubygems/resolver.rb:231:in 'search_for'; Unable to resolve dependency: user requested "did_you_mean (= 1.0.0)' (Gem:unsatisfiableDependencyError)Compiling was working for me earlier this week but Dreamweaver would freeze and crash about once and hour. (i use it 8+ hours a day). I updated dreamweaver and then the error happend.  I've reinstalled dreamweaver, installed/update xcode, updated Ruby, Gems, Homebrew, Rails. Anyone know what could be causing the problem?

Hello i am working on playing with some while loops in Dreamweaver. Its a number game where you have to guess the secret number which is 4. If you guess incorrect a prompt should be executed so you can guess again. My problem is the first prompt only executes and regardless of the number inserted nothing happens. I tried putting this code all in one script tag nothing prompts. I host a website through GoDaddy and I've neglected it of late. I haven't updated the site in at least a year, nor have I uploaded/downloaded anything to their server in all that time. I just checked the website, and except for the index page, all the other links are broken? In my DW CS6 on my computer, when I open one of these pages with broken links, the links are all still there, but they're broken links. I called GoDaddy about it, and they both absolved themselves of all responsibility since they don't support DW, and they also suggested that my site may have been hacked - and if I had just been paying them extra for security this wouldn't have happened(!)I may have a thousand links to have to manually re-link if I go that route. It would be nice to know what could have caused this before I work for two weeks re-linking everything, since it could very well happen again.

HiI got a new NAS for my files and now I wanted to create a new Dreamweaver Site for my several websites. But I'm not able to open files, which are located on my NAS. Every other Adobe program is able to open those files, but Dreamweaver sends me error messages like this:The files are 100% available, but they won't open.The NAS is connected by SMB to my iMac. Does anyone has an idea what I can do?Thx in advance.

Hello,My goal is to have a video automatically play on a webpage, when the page is clicked. I've followed these steps:In Dreamweaver click Insert > HTML> HTML5 VideoUploaded an MP4, Ogg, WebM and SWF video file format. In addition a PNG image for the Poster field.My results: the video plays fine within the webpage on my desktop computer. Unfortunately I can't get the video to play on my iPhone. It only displays the PNG "Poster" image.Here's the website incase it's helpful: VLC Intro,  then choose #1 Why Become tab, and the rabbit icon. I noticed that the PHP version in the cPanel of a website I am currently developing was set by default at version 7. I have been using 5.6 in my version of XAMPP I donwnloaded new roughly 1 1/2 years ago which is not very long. Has everyone moved on to version 7 but me?

i am in year 9 and i study computing and Interactive media (UK) and we have been developing websites with fireworks, dreamweaver and some other adobe apps, I wanted to work on my website at home but i don't know how to without these apps. I am not begging for a free product but is there a way i can get these programs for my computer without paying a incredibly high price?

I recently had to reinstall DreamWeaver 8 after a hard drive problem.  Clearly all of my previous settings were lost but I had a backup of the website..  My ISP provided me with the FTP username and password, the folder I needed to enter and the fact that FTP should not have a check in the 'secure' box.I have tried again and again to login but each time I get the message saying DW cannot make a connection to the host and either the usename of password is incorrect.  My ISP insist they have given me the correct details. I have searched online but most of the articles simply say either the username or password must be incorrect which it would appear cannot be the case.I have successfully used DW8 for many years without any problems so I am completely at a loss as to how to solve the problem.Any ideas will be most welcome.Ken

I've been running my own site for a few years and I've been hoping to someday add new coding to "spruce it up," so to speak. I've been finding and following tutorials on a few things, and I've been successful in some. But one that is perplexing me is adding drop down menus to my site. I followed a tutorial and actually made one by creating the property code on the same html page. But when I try to add that code to my CSS, it goes crazy. The menu doesn't keep the same spacing, and when I roll over the buttons, the drop down parts show up at the top of the screen. I'm thinking there's a conflict with the established code, but for the life of me, I can't find it.Any help is appreciated.
