Thankfully Affinity from Serif looks amazing, with Professional hollywood software makers releasing industry standard editors and REAL comp software for  FREE and including ProTools, Then add in Microsoft and Google all but matching and streamlining a better Dreamweaver, I look forward to finally leaving Adobe, WAY to overpriced for what is given.And for those curious, yes, Affinity is REALLY close to Adobe, the look and feel is virtually the same so easy transition. I'm a newbie and have created a 5 page website for my company in Dreamweaver CC 2017.......dfwlonghornconstruction.comThe problem is with the display on a cell phone.  I thought it was set up as a responsive site from the CC videos I watched and followed but apparently I'm a idiot and did not succeed.  So, my question is this......how can I make a existing Dreamweaver CC 2017 website responsive so that it goes across all forms of screens properly without major changes to the CSS files or code, if possible?I've been reading about Bootstrap and that sounds like a possibility until it sounds like I have to redo my website and reformat it.HELP!Sincerely,Darrell

Hello,I reinstalled DW CS6 on a new MacBook Pro. So far everything seems to work properly except the irritating fact that fonts don't display properly in design view on the new Mac whereas they did on the old one. Everything looks good if I look at the page in the browser but the fact that it doesn't look the same in design view like it used to makes me suspect that something is wrong with the new install. Any ideas on how to get it right? Or, do I just have to get used to a new way of looking at the world. (-:Branko

Is there a way to make global blocks or sections that I can just insert when I need a new one and add then add the page-specific content for that section? For example, I made section with a title, sub-title, paragraph, and three icons with buttons. I want to use this section in several place on my site but add different icons and text etc. Can I make templates for those and just insert them, rather than having to copy and paste? Thanks

Hello, all,I'm trying to use collapse on a higher z-index than the rest of the page, so when expanded it will cover part of the page content.However, I can't seem to get Bootstrap to co-operate with my desired design.  Upon clicking the element that expands and collapses the content, the hidden content starts out "over" the page content, but as soon as the expanding is completed it "sinks below" the page content.How can I get the expanded content to stay "above" the page content?V/r,^ _ ^

I am completely and utterly lost.  Everything I have seen so far is totally barbar to me.  I need an explanation in simple terms.  I want to make a link in a specific region of an SVG file.  I do know this:  I need the region's  coordinates and thel target link.  What I want to accomplish is if a person hovers the mouse over the phone number, I want something to pop up that says:  "Click here to call," and if he does, I want to send the "tel://9038302844" link.  Same for the email.   So, here's the info:Phone # coordinates:  x = 745px, y= 508 px    width = 775px, height = 224pxHELP!!

Within a DW document, I block and copy some text that I want to move to another place in doc. DW will not allow drag and drop. I try paste. No dice. I try cut and paste. No go. I open Note Pad and the material pastes.I recreate DW's cache. Doesn't help. I unload and reload DW. Didn't help. I restart my computer. I restart my DSL/WIFI router. DW still refuses to paste from the Windows Clip Board. I close DW again and reload. From the loading screen I notice that it just flew by the loading of the cache. Suspicious already. But I open the doc I'm trying to modify, block and copy to the CB again, and then open a brand new, fresh HTML document. No paste. I had this same trouble months ago. Forgot what I had to do. Mad as hell at DW. Can't find the info in the threads. Will somebody please tell me what to do and why the dickens DW goes off on these weird tangents in the first damn place.

This is semi-complex but I have to edit and rename the .css file because I'm working with a bootstrap template and want to change the photo of multiple different pages of which are linking together. And if they all have the same .css file within -> each will automatically have the same photo (.jpg) . So I don't know if this is possible but let me go more in depth of the situation. I am using this nice pre-made bootstrap template. But now I want to "multiply" it i.e. more pages - along with links from the home page - and want to have different headings, photos, etc. However, nothing really can get done until I can figure out how to change the main photo that is set on the template. It is located in the .css file which I can locate along the Dependent File Toolbar (top, right of the source code where all the .js's and .css's are...along with other scripts). Now I learned recently on how to add source codes if needed, but never on how to completely REMOVE an existing source code ->

I'm an "average" Dreamweaver user, just switched over from CS6 to Dreamweaver CC 2018. Working on a Mac OS 10.11In CS6, I was able to collapse (fold) code chunks and - unless I switched to a different computer to work on the same file - they would stay collapsed any time I opened the file. More importantly, they stay collapsed while I was working in that file - allowing me to cut and re-order code without anything popping open. They would only open if I targeted content within the collapsed code, but would collapse again when selecting a different target.Now, in CC 2018, I've collapsed code numerous times yet they pop back open at seemingly random times. Sometimes the collapsed code would "screw up" in that one or two lines would come out of the block while the rest remained collapsed. I have been able to force code to pop open simply by adding a line above the collapsed code. It seems that any time I edit content code pops open below and sometimes above.I've tried Split Design and Spl

I have to re-enter my username and password in site control every time I restart Dreamweaver. I have purposefully properly quitting dreamweaver so the preferences would be sure to be saves. Rather tedious since I have multiple sites. DW CS5 running on High Siera 10.13.2This is a new computer and OS. Thanks

Set  Dreamweaver as default app for html. Select multiple local html files. Right click and select 'open'. Crashes dreamweaver every time. Same results 3 different machines.

HiI last used Dreamweaver around 10 years ago, I only have basic knowledge but managed to get a website up and running with it at the time. Anyway, all these years later I assumed that Dreamweaver would have amazing ready-made templates that can be edited. Unfortunately, using Dreamweaver CC 2017 I haven't found this to be the case, the starter templates are basic and plain. Can I download templates or is that it ?Thanks to all.

Hello!I have anchor ties that cut to different sections of my webpage. I was given this code in a tutorial so instead of cutting to my anchor ties, the website would scroll down to them. For some reason, it only scrolls down for one of my anchor ties, and the rest of them it still only cuts to them. I would like the Javascript to work so that all my anchor ties will be scrolled to when clicked on. Any help is appreciated! Hi,until some months ago my 2 sites run on PHP 5.6 and in HTTP environment. I had no issue this time.Then I migrated to HTTPS (still staying on PHP 5.6) and had the first trouble to connect to the database. I was able to solve that issue by leaving the "_mmServerScripts" folder in HTTP instead of forcing it to HTTPS in my redirect script and setting the site URL back to  http://www.mysite.com instead of https://etc.  in the DW "Manage site" panel.  In that way, both of the 2 sites were able to connect correctly to the MySQL database. Recently, I got the New Mysqli Server Behavior by Webassist and then made all the necessary changing from MySQL to MySQLi. (in the connections and in all the queries). When I finished I switched on my server from the original PHP 5.6 to PHP 7.0.It seemed everything was OK, but when I tried to connect to the database I've realized, that DW Mysqli Server Behavior in the new PHP 7.0 environment did not connect anymore.  The connection sett

I want to uninstall a CS5 version of Dreamweaver, plus other Adobe apps that I no longer need.The uninstaller app wants me to quit Safari and three other apps (SafariBookmarksS, SafariCloudHistory, and SafariNotiviati) that I don't have (or can't find).
