ie can I make connections to complete websites with their own site roots etc that would exist only within a larger site?
I have hundreds of web pages on my site that contain table rows and columns of actual data. I regularly have to insert new rows and columns as I edit these pages.I have upgraded from Dreamweaver CS3 to DW CC as part of my overall upgrade to Windows 10. But I have lost my Favorites toolbar where I had Insert Row and Insert Column.I don't see a comparable command in DW CC. There is an Insert --> Table, and there is a separate Edit --> Table --> [menu], but I don't see a way to add Insert Row and Insert Column as part of "Customize Favorites."Using keyboard commands works, but I'd really like to have mouse-clickable commands in my Insert Favorites panel. Can anyone help?P..S. Under Window --> Toolbars, when I set it to Standard, it blocks out the top menu, and all the various drop-down menus are no longer available. Is there a fix for this bug?
BackgroundI am replacing my ageing computer (Windows 7) with a new one (Windows 7 also). I have used Window’s Easy Transfer to migrate content from the old computer to the new one. However, although it has migrated Dreamweaver CS5 successfully - EXCEPT when it opens, it is preceded by a program called “Adobe Extension Manager”ProblemAs this is bothersome and I don’t want this nuisance every time I access the program - How do I solve this problem? ORAs I have the CD and product pin should I just reload it to the new computer over the top of the existing program and re register it? Thanks
I'm using Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2015. I recently had a computer failure and had to move my backup to a new one (everything was working fine before that). Now when I double click a file from our web site in the files pane a dialog box come up that looks like this:It used to give you the option to check the file out so that you could edit it. At the same time a window pops up with info about incomplete file activity, like this:The rest of the message that is cut off says:eigenvector/courses/EigenU_Data_and_Models.html - error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot get EigenU_Data_and_Models.html. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.I tested the FTP connection under Manage Sites and the connection tested as OK.In the files pane, you can check out a file, and it shows as checked out, but you still can't edit it.So what do I need to do so I can edit my web pages? Thanks in advance!
What is the difference between align buttons and the drop down align buttons? What are the instant imaging tools available? What are the options for alignment? What happens when you click the CSS button?
Yesterday as I built a responsive menu I deleted the <div. col-sm-12> and inserted and nested the "Basic Menu" it all worked perfectly. Today, I do the exact same thing and now instead of showing "nav .navbar .navbar-default" it reads <nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-light bg-light">. How do I work with this... I'm still learning the 2018 release and no where in the book does it tell me how to continue with this new code. HELP!!!!
Somehow, I only updated the 2018 on the bottom of this website and the contact form is not processing the inquiry. I only see the line hour glass functioning but receive no email. I'm using a Dreamweaver starter template. I want to create an unordered bulleted list with a graphical marker which I've already created in photoshop. But I can't get the css to co-operate. I'd like all bulleted lists to look the same wherever I use one in the web site. I believe the css code is supposed to be like this: ul { list-style-image: url('../images/bullet1.gif'); }I've tried putting the above in more than one place in the Css file but nothing seems to work. I've removed it now. But where ought it to go? Or is it incorrect? My complete css is copied below. I tried putting it in the css and then included the correct html code to activate it, but nothing happens except all my text disappears. So I deleted it.Of course I made sure I put some text in between the <li></li>.@charset "utf-8";/* Global Styles */a:link { color: #5B55FC; background-color: transparent; text-decoration: underline;&nbs
Hello, when I edit a page in Dreamweaver the font size is much smaller than in the preview view. The text is Letzte Aktualisierung
Hello, Thanks in advance for taking the time.My issue is that I'm simply trying to "put" an updated style.css file to my remote server, and it is not updating. DW is stating that the file transfer completes, with no errors. I am clearing all browser caches to ensure that I am looking at an updated version of the site. Any thoughts, advice? I'd rather not have to use a different FTP client for this functionality, for convenience purposes. I'm having a problem with Live View not refreshing after I make changes. I can save the file, go view the changes in a browser, come back to Dreamweaver, and the live view still hasn't refreshed. F5 doesn't make a difference. Sometimes going in and out of design view a time or two will make live view refresh. I'm guessing that Dreamweaver is getting hung up on a background process and not finishing the refresh, but I can't know for sure. Is there a quick way to get Live View to work as well as it did in CS3?
Just upgraded and have an issue with the site cache. I routinely go in and recreate the site cache when making a large number of edits to a site. But for example, I have a number of real estate sites. I can recreate the site cache, then go in and remove a particular listing in acreage, homes, live water and save these files. Now all that's left is the listing itself. If I go in to delete that, it warns me that this file is referenced in "acreage, homes, live water". Then I go back in, Site-Advanced-Recreate Site Cache, attempt to delete the listing, and this time it correctly asks me if I want to delete it without any other warnings.Or, if I save a bunch of images into a working folder, add them to a variety of files, and then move the images to their final location, not all of the dependent files get updated unless I manually recreate the cache prior. This is not helpful.I've deleted the WinFileCache-XXXXXXXX.dat but no good. It seems every time I want to delete a file that used to be

Hello Team, I was really surprised after re-installing Dreamweaver and Creative Cloud. I just assumed all my settings and sites would be there. After all I log into Creative Cloud every day to start Dreamweaver. To my surprise, I must set everything up again including colors and font. Not to mention, the IIS test sites which are a pain.I’m going out of town in while and was planning on using my Dreamweaver subscription to work; accessing sites in the cloud and using Dreamweaver on a rented computer to work. I’m thinking; this is not going to work after what I have just experienced; re-installing Dreamweaver to my Desktop after a Win10 replacement.Do I need a better subscription ?Please share your most appreciated wisdom….thanks for any help ..james
We recently moved to Media3.net servers. We use WebDAV to connect to the Media3 server. I have several users with different versions of Dreamweaver. I have no problem connecting and working with CS5.5 and CS6 but Dreamweaver CS4 is getting an error. In all versions, using the same set of credentials and all settings the same, using the TEST BUTTON, I get "Dreamweaver connected to your Web server successfully". However in CS4, after the successful test, when I actually connect to the site and attempt to display the remote folders/files, I get "Cannot display the remote folder: Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. ...etc."Using same settings, same credentials, same server - only difference is version of Dreamweaver. Ideas? Thanks.
Hi Guys Just looking for some help I had been happily using Adobe Muse until they announced that it will be discontinued So I thought now is the time to get in to code. I have found Bootstrap really useful as a bridge between Muse and DW. My question is, is there a way to add more pre-styled bootstrap components to the components panel in Dreamweaver? for example I have also been using Bootstrap Studio which has pre-styled footer's, parallax scrolling images, and numerous nav bars.I really want to keep using DW as I love the way it works but if i can add the extra components it would be amazing. Thanks in advance
Am attempting to convert our existing non-responsive site to a responsive one. Any recommendations for newbie tutorials? Thanks.
Hi there, In this question, I am seeking your opinions on whether or not I should use CSS Grid layout.Reading about CSS Grid layout immediately smacked me with memories of the awful tabular layouts of 90s websites. It seems; admittedly at first glance, that this is just an updated type of table layout. Instead of actually laying out the table in source - this 'grid' layout is just a table defined in CSS.I will admit that I have not really explored the intricacies of a CSS Grid layout in detail and my conclusion is based solely on a cursory glance.Have any of you used this?No doubt some of you have, so could those of you who have please give me your opinions about whether I should be using a CSS Grid layout or not and if so, when it would be appropriate and not appropriate to do so.To be clear about what I am actually referring to - here is an example:CSS-Grid-layout - Pastebin.com CheersJay
Here is the new site I am working with https://test.1ink.us/index.html . It is a real estate investing site.I am very happy with it, but it is not entirely functional:It has a lot of cool front end features that are not functional, including:User Accounts Registration and Login. There are user login details on the top bar of each page. Ideally, I'd like people to be able to add properties into there account to follow and track the property deals we complete together. If they buy a house from me, I'd like this house to go into their 'portfolio'. Would something like this work, is there another way? Blog (Information) section has a keyword tag entry that I'd like to set up to be functional, in addition to set up user comments (I plan to use the facebook plug)How do I set up the List and Add Properties functions by users so they can submit there own property (that is really cool). User submitted content.I asked the template designer who made the site but he can't help with this 'back-end'
Without rhyme or reason, Dreamweaver all of a sudden will not allow me to edit local css files. I have tried all present solutions to no avail. I have tried deleting the cache.I have mirrored the remote folder with the local one to see if that will help, but no!Upon clicking on the html doc. I am working on, Dreamweaver will even change the name of the stylesheet to a former stylesheet title, even though it has been deleted and replaced both in the remote and local folders. The <head> looks like this:-<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /><meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1 user-scalable=no" /><script type="text/javascript" src="java/FWDSISC.js"></script><link href="css/global.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">Any help in the matter will be deeply, deeply appreciated.
My version of Dreamweaver is constantly crashing, started happening after I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Enterprise (10.0.15063 Build 15063).Has anyone else experience the same issues, and happen to have a resolution. I can't go 10 minutes without it crashing out.dreamweaver.dmp file for info.
This might be the most naive question this month, but here goes. Some 12 years ago, a webmaster built my website using Dreamweaver. It sells things. For inventory, descriptions, and so on, I can log in and do all that by myself. But the structure of the site is "fixed" and I do not know how to edit the mistakes: that webmaster has disappeared, and I can't find anyone else. After I log in, and right click to "inspect source" or "View Element," I can see what looks like coding, but no amount of highlighting or clicking delete--or anything else I can see--lets me edit some of the mistakes. Even I use FileZilla to back up the site from time to time, but can't figure out how to get into the codes while logged into that, either. Can anyone please suggest a way I can actually get into the heart of the coding and make some simple changes? Many thanks ...
Using the following code:<html><head><title></title></head><body><p> <font face="verdana, geneva, sans-serif"> <span style="font-size: 12px;">Dreamweaver Test</span> </font></p></body></html>When I open a file with the contents the Split/Design View shows this:When I copy and paste into a new tab it shows this:The appearance of the text is incorrect when the former, and correct in the latter.Reproducible: 100%OS: Windows 7DW: CC 18.1 Build 10155
