Dreamweaver

I work on remote server in files view, and it's a pretty large library of files.When I want to find a folder a click anywhere on the folders list and then type the first few letters of the folder.For example if I want to find the "forms" folder, I will click on one the files / folders, and type "for" quickly.Usually the selected folder will be the one I want, I will then hit the -> key to expand and then type again the name the file that I am searching... and when I find the file I hit Enter and it's open.Recently, a few minutes after I open dremweaver, it will start responding slowly, only responding to the first letter I type and even then it will tae about a second or two to really jump to that folder.If I restart dreamweaver - It will respond well again and then after a few minutes - it will slowly stop.Any idea why?This is really a deal breaker for me if this continues.I am using a legit, licensed copy. !

My dreview in dreamweaver is not the same as the live preview. I dont know which is right. What am I suppose to do to get them aligned?

I quite enjoy the quick edit (Cmd/Ctrl+E) function in Dreamweaver, but it's pretty useless if you're not generating your CSS files via the built-in SASS compiler as it just references the compiled CSS file. Anyone got a solution for this?Brackets doesn't seem to have a problem with this ...I assume it just references the sourcemap to find the correct rule. Surely this should be easy enough to implement?

just thought everyone would like to know that the level 2 specs for css grid layouts has been published -https://www.w3.org/TR/2018/WD-css-grid-2-20180206/Just for info, Chrome and Firefox will probably have an implementation behind a flag soon, as they both removed all sub-grid support when it was in danger of being dropped from the specs. Firefoxes implementation was not as good as Chromes, but I have not had time to compare the old sub-grid spec with the new yet, so I don't know if there are any significant changes.

FRom an alamr when loadin my page on Dreamwever application, I understood that the past flash player buttons I positioned with my old web site designed and still maintained today with Dreamweaver CC are no more available and I have to replace them anyway since new browsers do not accept them.I also discovered that Bootstrap buttons are an easy answer to recreate similar buttons;I cannot find the whole detailed process that I have to follow  to implement  Bootstrap buttons within my Dreamweaver application so that I can pick them up and position them with their properties (ex links when you doubleclick on them) as I did when using the flash player buttons without writing any lines of HTML codeWhere could  I find these instructions ?Thank you.

After a recent upgrade of Windows 10, many files were duplicated and corrupted (not only Dreamweaver CS3 files). Not realising, I went on editing files for my site and now I need to compare the duplicates in order to delete those I didn't edit. How?

I need to rename a folder that will result in updating about 1,200 pages with links to files in that folder. I know that if I change the folder name in DW, it can scan the site to update all the links, but that's on my local server. I recently tried to push a Git commit to a remote fork. Even though I have made a push, there is a notification 'circle' on the Push icon.It's worth noting that the Push did not add any files to the remote repository. If you have run into this issue, could you solve this issue? What does the notification mean?

Thanks for your time in looking at this post.  I used the "transform rotate" command to rotate the text in a td cell of a table.  The text was rotated as beyond the limits of the table.  I noticed that only the text was rotated; not the td cell.  this is shown in the image with code and image above.  the other image shows the style sheet entries.  i tried to wrap all the td's in div and rotate them without any success.  The rotated text cannot be moved with margin, padding, and align options.  The table cells are in their original position with the text rotated out.  Any insight you can provide is greatly appreciated....thanks for your help

Code View is blank white and I can't click or type anything in it. In Preferences there were no code themes available either. I'm using a Windows computer.

Hi AllI am doing a website course, and my test is next tuesday. I always made my header in FW and inserted as image and used css rule to create heading 1,eg.. sarif, font size 36, centered. I had no problems except anytime I pushed the enter button there was a huge gap between the heading and the paragraph. Although I paid no mind to this. My teacher just told me last tuesday in part 1 of the test "prep night" that I shouldn't do it this way, cause how can they see I followed the guidelines on the master page. So I sat down today and tried to practice for time purposes as we only have two hours to do it all. The problem I am having is when I insert the text and apply the html 'heading 1' before the rule it is fine, after the rule it looks fine until you look in live then it pushes the writing up, if I align it to height it puts it aligned and looks normal, however live all the div tags are now pushed down. If I create the rule before I type, it's the very same and after. I don't know w

I think I made a big mistake....upgraded to Mac 10.11.6 and my old tried and true DW 8 won't open...so, signed up for CC monthly service..Now, I cannot see how to move site into CC? I imagine I can download it from the remote host once I get CC functional?

Hi there,I'm upgrading to Dreamweaver CC from Dreamweaver CS 5.5. I noticed that when I click on any tag e.g. <a href="...>xyz</a>, the entire tag is highlighted. I just want to change the path that href refers to but I cannot put my cursor in the path and start typing as I use to do in DW 5.5. I can click in the properties window and type the path there.Am I doing something wrong and is this how it's done in DW CC?Joe

Hello, I am creating a Business Department website for my school and I have created a resource page where people can view videos related to business. I am having trouble creating several rows with 3 videos on each row. I have attempted this but the whole video thumbnail does not show and there are black borders. I am also having difficulty trying to show the full thumbnail on the mobile version of this page. P.S. I am very new to HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. (I have been only learning for a couple of months). It would be greatly appreciated if you could explain your code simplistically.I replaced the images with the video. I've been running my site successfully for years, coded with Dreamweaver CS3.In the last few weeks my Adsense ads (size 160 x 600) have sometimes been replaced with a panel (of the same size) from my server saying that 'the page (advert) cannot be found' (apparently error 404).My 'Server's Help' say I should add http:// in front of all page URL's. First I'm wondering how I managed for all these years without it, but mainly how do I add the http:// on over 150 pages, and hopefully without having to edit each page individually.
