Dreamweaver

What is the best version of dreamweaver to use to eliminate crashes and use the least amount of resources? Do you have recommendations for system requirements.My dreamweaver takes alot longer to load than any other editing tool I use and crashes so often that I rarely use it anymore.  I would like to be able to use it and be efficient.

How do I insert mp3 audio files in Dreamweaver CS5?Also, do I have to take out all the spaces in the file name?Thanks!

This was not an issue prior to CS6 or CC 2015.  With these two versions I only see text in the design view and the live view.  No design elements appear. I need to access the page via a browser to see the actual design.  Using the F5 key is not helpful.

I can  create lots of files but they all come up to index.This is the path it shows: http://127.0.0.1:58782/preview/app/index.html The screen that show is dark.I have talked to Dreamweaver and was told not to set up a testing or remote  server.  i get this screen and a strange URL.If I set up a testing server i get the same thing. If I set up a server (server press) using an app then, for example, it will display the menu but the drop downs don't work.Also,It says bootstrap needs to up date but then says the previous one is locked and so the newer one is discarded.NOTHING WORKS RIGHT!!!!Please help.  The telephone support for dreamweaver does not work.Should'nt the URL be (using local host) be: http://localhost/sitename/filename.htmlI use CC2018

I get this message when opening my site fampics.fairwaysit.com   "Encountered a sharing violation while accessing c/users/jamie/appdata/roaming/Adobe/DreamweaverCC/2018/enUS/configuration/Temp/DwonloadCache/jquE3EA.c3"  My site does show updates on Live View or when I use FireFox to view through browser.  I'm using the "Site Put" menu options and sending changed files with File Zilla to SiteGround.  I just can't help think it is because I'm using CSS Grid which might not be ready and Win10 which is inferior.  Your input is really appreciated....thanks

Connection worked before the last Dream Weaver update through Creative Cloud but since then I cannot connect. I've tried checking everything but no matter what I try nothing works.  I've even turned off the firewall but that didn't work either. The message I receive states'an FTP error occurred-cannot make connection to host.  The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it.  This may be due to one ore more of the following reasons:....

My copy of AdobePatchInstaller.exe will not install to Dreamweaver cs5 on my new win 10 64 bit computer. It installed to Dreamweaver cs5 and worked on my previous win 7 64 bit machine. I get a message that it won't install because it is not digitally signed. It worked before why won't it work now? Can you help?

It's been a while since I put a website together, so I hope I'm explaining this well.  I found the code below in the DW Starter Template called Basic - Single Page css coding. ul li a {  color: #FFFFFF;  text-decoration: none;}ul li:hover a {  color: #2C9AB7;In the template I'm using, however, (called Basic - Multi column), I am not finding the code for links.  If you select the Basic - Multi column template from Starter Templates, you can access the file called multiColumnTemplate.css.  In "Live" view, you can drag your cursor over the menu items, and as you hover, the text turns from white to gray.  I assumed the code was already prepared for linking since this is a template.  However, when selecting one of the menu items in the gray bar called secondary header in order to assign a link, the default "hover" from white to gray breaks and the text becomes blue and underlined like old school HTML links.  It's like there's no css coding for th

I am a student, I am required to take a class in Dreamweaver CS6.  If I am understanding correctly this is a different version than what is on my Creative Cloud subscription or membership, or whatever you want to call it.  The text book gives step by step instructions and I read in another student review you can not use the CC  version with this text book.  So I'm snooping around on here and I find you can download a "trial" of DW CS6.  I'm kind of confused about what that means.  Yes, I understand free trial, but why is it only a trial when I pay for Adobe CC, and what happens when the trial is over?  More money?  I'm really frustrated the school is choosing to teach a version that's not on CC (an older version?), and MORE frustrated they don't provide the correct software, but be that as it may, I have purchased a new computer and have to be ready for class on Jan. 8.  Any thoughts or input would be appreciated. Hello,Recently every time I start Dreamweaver CC 2018 I get the error message below saying it has stopped working. I ran into this issue a week or so ago and uninstalled/re-installed Dreamweaver and that fixed the issue but now it will not work. I have also uninstalled/re-installed Creative Cloud program and that did not fix the issue either. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.Bryan

Dreamweaver 2017+ has many inconveniences in comparison with 2015 version. Lot of them I solved but still have some problem:When I try to indent multiple lines then every empty line (with tab or space chars) become really empty. After recent upgrade cannot open any file in DW. It stats in split view and almost instantly gets frozen (Not Responding).I don't need neither split, nor live view, but don't know how to disable it before opening file in DW.Please assist.

My site has 10 links in the navigation bar. 6 of the links (Classic Cars) have drop down lists (Model Years). Hello, all,I'm using $.serializeArray() to condense all the fields of a form into an array, JSON.stringify()-ing it and submitting that via AJaX.  Works GREAT, as long as there are not any checkboxes that have the same name.  Because an associative array cannot have duplicate keys, the last checked checkbox value is the only one being sent.  Any ideas on how to get _all_ checked values to be sent?  ie:<input type="checkbox" id="unique_1" name="airliner-0" value="FOO" /><input type="checkbox" id="unique_2" name="airliner-0" value="BAR" /><input type="checkbox" id="unique_3" name="airliner-0" value="PHU" /><input type="checkbox" id="unique_4" name="airliner-0" value="VAR" />If the second and fourth checkboxes are checked, serializeArray() will first set key 'airliner-0' to 'BAR', then set it to 'VAR'.  How can I get both values sent?V/r,^ _ ^

Hi,Dreamweaver is suppose to have an eye icon with a slash through it that would allow you to hide items on your site that you don't want seen in the mobile view.  I'm working in DWCS6 and for the life of me I can not find that icon.  Can you please help me hide items for my mobile view in Dreamweaver CS6?

I just downloaded an add on for CS6 and now I am missing several elements on my application bar.Does anyone know how I can restore these missing elements?

Am in the process of updating a client's site, and she reports that when she visits a particular page using Firefox on her Mac, she gets a link to ads that is definitely not coded on the page. Doesn't seem to happen in any other browser. I've recommend she make sure she's using the most updated version of Firefox, but it seems weird to me that it happens only with Firefox and a Mac. Anyone else run into this anomoly?Thanks,Chris

Hi,I am not seeing a forum for XD CC. Anyone know why? Also, does it not export HTML/CSS like Avocode, Invision or Sketch?Was thinking to explore the application on my desktop since it comes with the suite of products. However, it requires Windows Anniversary Edition. Worked with my IT to do this, and I still see the incompatibility message in Adobe CC application mgr, even though Windows site states: You don’t have to do anything to get the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, it will roll out automatically to you through Windows Update if you’ve chosen to have updates installed automatically on your device.Can anyone advise? I go to this command and simply nothing happens .  I press command-F8 - and that doesn't do it either. I try opening it again.Dreamweaver CC 18.0 -- Mac 10.13.2 --Possible problem my website files are in Drop box. Tried putting one site on Home. No result there.
