how to find nested editable regions

When I attempt to apply a newly edited template to File.html, I'm getting an error that says There is an error at line 241, column 30 (absolute position 6751) of File.html. Nested editable regions. I don't whether that means there is an error in the template or the File.html, but in either case, how can I find the nested editable region to fix it? I've looked at line 241 of both the template and the file with no clue. I do notice that there are many lines of code in File.html which are a part of template and should be gray, but they're not. That makes me think that the error is in the file, but how do I find it?

Working with apDiv Tags

Do any one knows if this new Dreamweaver supports apDiv tags, because I only see Div tags. I used an old website that I designed with Dreamweaver cc3 using apDiv's but with the new Dreamweaver it's seems that my apDiv tags won't stay were I want it to appear at on my webpage. I have tried setting the positioning to relative instead of absolute... any suggestions thanks

Bonjour, bonsoir à toutes et tous.Je dois créer une carte interactive et la dernière fois j'ai utilisé Dreamweaver (cs6) que j'utilise toujours. Mais le point qui apparait est tellement gros que je ne vois pas l'endroit suivant où cliquer.Quelqu'un se rappelerait-t'il comment on fait pour réduire la taille de ce point sous Dreamweaver CS6 ? Merci d'avance 😉

Porbleme après mise a jour Mac Sonoma

Dreamweaver file uploads agonizingly slow

I've been usiung Dreamweaver for many years, but within the last year uploads to my server are extremely slow. I'm using Dreamweaver 21.3 on a Mac. If I try to upload for example even a single video file by using Put, the "Background File Activity" pop up will appear, but it takes several minutes to upload even a few MB file. However, if I hover the mouse alternating back and forth over the "Hide" and "Cancel" buttons , the progress bar increases in noticeably larger bursts. If I don't do that, there only a small fraction of the progress increased, and it will take dramtically longer to complete the upload.Also, when I try to sync with the remote server, it can take almost 2hrs to sync. Dreamweaver never worked this slow for uploads before.

bootstrap 4 navbar centered

Hi. I have been creating websites using bootstrap 4, but I'm finding my sites look like cookie cutter sites lol.  Please take a look if you wish.   center4familydevelop. comanimaltrainer. bizhoovesfortheheart. orgadoptattachtherapy. com/index.htmlattachment-focusedtreatmentinstitute. com   So now I'm building my own website and my question is about the bootstrap navbar. Question #1 - most important -  How can I make the navbar logo stay to the left, the navigation links centered, and phone and email on the right?  I've been searching and trying to do this for some time. I'd appreciate any answers. Question #2 - I also did some research on the percentage of Word Press sites and bootstrap sites. It seems that 40% of websites are done in Word Press. Do you all find that to be true?    Question #3 - What would be the best way to code a website without using bootstrap or wordpress? Could really use some insight.   Thanks so much!   Thank you

php files rendered as htm files........why??????

Does anyone have any sensible explanation/suggestion as to why some developer would create php files then get the server to render them in the browser with a completely different name/format and the .htm extension? Example: holiday_destinations.php gets shown in the browser as HolidayDestinations.htm One would assume a sensible developer might well be looking for 'HolidayDestinations.htm' on the server to make changes to the file, but it's not there, along with many other re-named files, lol.  Apart from wanting to put themsleves in the loony asylum, or anyone else for that matter trying to work out what is going on, is there a sensible reason?

I have DW 21.3 on a refurbished 2018 Macbook pro. I am a stained glass artist who made a fairly cool website ( www.brooksideglasworks.com) starting with golive and then dreamweaver which i first put up in 2002 or so. But my older version of DW stopped working on newer OS and I have not worked on my site for years.I was never going to be a webmaster and barely get code, which is why the whole wysiwyg thing seemed to be a way to do it. Anyway I started a subscription to DW as a part time teacher, and downloaded my site. I was a little disappointed that the images do not load and i had to manually move them into place but I made the changes I wanted  to the index page, doing a lot of looking at the good code to fix the bad and and it looked great in the Live view when I finished.  My  index and page one of an overview of my work are the most complex , but I had that 2nd page looking good even thought there was still some red code I want to fix. Feature Request: Start Anchor tag on it's own line.

Feature request: when formatting code, allow the <a> tag to begin on its own line, since HTML5 allows "block level links" where the <a> tag can enclose other tags like <div>s, <figure>s, etc. Thank you.

Dreamweaver 21.3 15593: page names/file names in HTML are changed to 8-digit alphanumeric code

I am finding hundreds of broken links in my very large site: Page filenames and image filenames are replaced by 3-character alphanumeric codes, as shown below. Pagenames are more often involved, but image filenames are occasionally broken in the same way. This is a new-ish behavior. I have seen a few in the past, but I am now finding hundreds of broken links. The site is stored on a OneDrive drive, although this has been the case for longer than I have been seeing the file names changing -- I think. I cannot think of any other environmental issues to identify: It appears to happen both to Windows and Mac computers; I am running Windows 10.

Long story short. Webmaster of military website died unexpectedly. Now have password to Dreamweaver 4 from NOK.Dreamweaver icon on desktop opens programme hone page. How do we access the program to update existing web pages. Struggling badly.

Muse and Dreamweaver

...this is great. Adobe has made Muse unusable, and Dreamweaver developers aren't doing anything to update DW (although all the "expert" Muse community moderators are telling the Muse community to use DW... ) so our choice is to use an outdated, un-updated program (DW) and hope Adobe doesn't make IT non-functional.  I'd really like a solution that doesn't involve having to close this, ignore that, turn around three times and bark at the moon while holding down the ALT and Ctrl keys simultaneously. Thanks a lot, Adobe... glad to see my $60/month is being spend on what I need, as long as I define that need as being able to make pretty kitty cat pictures with AI.

Adobe Adobe Community Display inline block fail when uploaded to web?

   Hi All. Any ideas why this fails.. Div Containers as inline blocks centered. Flows to a stack when the browser is reduced which is what is wanted. Works in Dreamweaver and preview but when uploaded to web the divs center stacked. Center is what is wanted but not stacked. Want them to flow with the browsers.  When the orginal website was created and images are added it works to the old pages. But with current  Dreamweaver it fails? Any ideas?  Help is appreciated!

Find all instances where an image appears in my entire website

I have a few images site wide that are certifications and expire at year end. I want to be able to find all instances of where these images are on my entire website of probably 50 pages and replace them with current images.My question is: is there a way to search the entire site for specific images and not just one page at a time.

Transfer Dreamweaver Settings To New Computer Old MacOS-to-MacOS

Looking for some guidance please - I have a new Mac and I want to transfer all of my settings in Dreamweaver from my old computer to my new computer - is there an easy way to do this? This would include all my prefrences, FTP settings etc. and anything else that I may not be thinking of.  Thanks in advance for the guidance and help.  GM

Lost side Toolbar - Mac User

Latest version. New Mac. Opened file I was working with yesterday and got a "update cache" message - clicked ok. Since then, no left side toolbar and I tried a nunch of things. Whatever that cache did, reset a bunch of things and messed my my DW set-up. How do I get my toolbar back? Thanks!

Adobe Acquires Figma [NOT]

This sounds a lot like what happened with Flash that led them to buying Macromedia (along w/ DW). Based on the history, XD's days are numbered.

I'm using Dreamweaver 21.2 and am unable to connect to my hosting server (A2 hosting).  I can connect using third-party software (CoreFTP and Filezilla).  In Dreamwaever, I have tried checking and unchecking options in the advanced menu to no avail.  I have had no problems with older versions of Dreamwaver.  I have checked my firewall and  Dreamweaver is authorized. I have bypassed my routher and tired a direct connection to my modem.  No luck.  I have two domains and tried the FTP setting for both with no luck.  The FTP log is not recording so it is no help. I'm gettang an error that says my limit has been reached due to firewall blocking , blah blah blah. I have used Dreamwaver for years and am comfortable with it and I don't want to change.  Can anyone help?

Viewing Related ColdFusion Files in Dreamweaver

I used to be able to view the related ColdFusion files in Dreamweaver, but that function stopped working several versions ago.From the documentation, it appears there is an API that can be added/altered to make them appear.I haven't found the documentation that tells me where to make those changes (it seems to me that would be a reasonable instruction to place at the beginning of the PDF).What is frustrating is that when I open a file, it asks if related files should be downloaded.Clicking yes downloads them but they no longer appear as child elements.
