Dear all, today when I asked my DW CS4 (win) to sync with the server, it claimed to need uploading *all* files in my website tree.This is clearly wrong because I am absolutely sure that most of the files never got touched in the past months.Obviously, my first intention was to not upload all files, first because it would have been a very long-time operation, and secondarly because I don't know which files have changed at the remote side since the last sync, so I don't want to lose data. Later, as I couldn't come through it, I decided to patiently select the files I was sure were up-to-date and select them as "mark as synced". But the next sync still keeps prompting for the files upload... so, it seems I am in a neverending loop 😞Tried to disable and re-enable the "keep sync info" flag, delete all dwsync.xml files, but nothing was useful.I also have already searched for some solution for years, because from time to time the problem appeared and never got a final solution.A

Is it possible for me to create a website that has multiple web pages, and have my students link them all together using the creative cloud. I want them all to code different pages, and then be able to link all of these pages together by sharing them on the creative cloud. Then link all of the pages together with the cloud. I don't want one kid to have to link them all together using just his computer. Is this possible, and if so how?
Two days ago all was fine. I was using DW2017 without significant issues. This morning, zip! The software came up empty... Not even a "Open Recent" I have 226 site definitions to to add those back manually is a non starter. I fired up DW CS5 and all was well.I looked at the forum and at least got the suggestion to export all the CS5 .ste files into a new directory but I do not know where the .ste files go in DW 2017.0.1? Any assistance would be helpful?
Each time I open Dreamweaver, I can only put files once. It works fine that first time but any subsequent attempts just hang until I cancel, close Dreamweaver, reopen it, and continue working. Yes, I could use FileZilla but one of the reasons DW is my favorite editor is what used to be the supremely perfect Files panel and FTP. It's been doing this for the last 2-3 versions for me. The creds are fine -- it works perfectly that first time every time.

Hello,I first purchased DW 8, and then upgraded to DW CS3.These were both installed on my 2 laptops.Now my two laptops are both broken, one, this one, has a broken screen,the other one, was up to date with DW CS3.This one, the one with the broken screen, I use with and add on monitor, so I read on one screen and type on my laptop.This Laptop had no DW on it, and I tried installing from my DW CS3 disk, but it does not like my serial number, and now it is telling me my trial period will be up tomorrow.I used the serial number that came with the DW CS3 installation disk, and apparently DW does not like it. overwrote my server files with badly designed files. My backup files are several years old so they are not much help other than reconstructing them. While working on the DW managed site, I was prompted what to do with a undefined field. I choose leave as "unchanged" and lost my content to all files linked to the template. Is there a means of re-defining the field to reclaim my text? I hate to start over, however, I learned a valuable lesson. Thanks.
I've tried searching the web for a fix for this, but honestly have no idea the terms that would get me this answer. I updated to Dreamweaver CC 2017 and code that used to be indented and wrap to the second line in split mode now does not wrap to line 2 and begin on the left of the window, it aligns to the parent tag, so in my responsive email with nested tables I'm getting pieces that are literally 2 characters wide going down the right of my split screen.How do I re-calibrate my settings so that the code, even though it's indented on the parent tag, will flow to the beginning (far left) of the line when the line wraps? I don't want to turn off line wrapping and have to scroll to my code either. There must be a setting to turn off/toggle. This is on PC if that helps.
When I create my document in Dreamweaver CS6, my text is all in the same class. But anytime I have a bulleted, numbered or lettered list, the font appears much smaller once posted live onto the site. I have to go back to my DW file and re-add the class it was already on in order for it to capture the right font size. Does anyone know how this can permanently be fixed so that I don't have to keep re-classing my lists? See image below:Please note, I am an amateur when it comes to Dreamweaver. I create a website with about 20-30 pages in HTML. I then followed the instructions and added Google translate code and placed it into dreamweaver ( only to the index.html page). The issue is the I blank div appears with nothing in it. Not sure why. So I tried in in a new document and still nothing appears. Any idea why?

Hey there,I have recently took on the project of creating a website in Dreamweaver. I took classes around 5 years ago but that was on an old version...plus I hadn't messed with it since then. I'm scared I've bit off more than I can chew. But in any event, here is my current issue I have come across. I need to create a photo slideshow on my site. I have attempted watching the youtube videos and trying the "create your slideshow" websites.. I am just not having any luck. I need a way to make a photo slideshow in the most simple way possible. Hi,I inserted a nav bar fixed to the top of my page. Let's say I wanted my page to display items (mostly DIVs and SPANs) with a slight animation. One-time, non-looping, just to "ooh!" the audience a little bit on page load.Here is an example of a page that fades all elements in at once, at the same time. It's not a big deal, but has a big effect on UX when compared to cold loading. Having just returned to coding after a few years off, I see that the "animation" property could potentially do the job on its own without any JS extras. Although when I went Googling for extras, I found them.In my ideal scenario, I'd like DIVs to load invisible and immediately fade in (w/ slight timing offset so we can recognize the individual modules) and even add a subtle slide effect to boot (ie, they'd slide in from 20-30px while fading in).If you make the offset timing random (for instance, 0ms to 50ms values, at random) then you could even create 1 function that affects all the tagged DIVs (that way you don't have to manually set the timer on the fade-in
Dreamweaver CC (2017) keeps crashing on Windows 10 upon opening certain files or saving a new file with certain code in it. It started happening since the latest updates were installed (yesterday).
