Dreamweaver

I have the new Dreamweaver CC update, I click to open & it gives me a "not responding, DW will close" error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled DW with no success.DW gIves me the opening loading screen and then even the frame of the workspace, then it crashes.

While working in Dreamweaver 2017, it got hung up temporarily (windows blanking out and back on, spinning cursor, etc.) and ever since, I have been unable to connect to any of my FTP servers. Dreamweaver 2015 is still able to connect. I've uninstalled and re-installed Dreamweaver 2017 and imported .ste files that I exported from my 2015 version, but still no go. I'm on Windows 10 and I've been running Dreamweaver 2017 without any issues since its official release.The FTP servers in question are hosted by the company I work for (I can connect to them OK using Dreamweaver 2017 at home). I have one additional FTP connection to a remote site that works fine. Any suggestions?

OK, this is a relatively new problem, maybe since I got CC (or maybe from a more recent update) and I've decided I can't live with it anymore.When coding an email with lots of nested tables (or anything with a few levels of nesting) my code, with Word Wrap enabled eventually starts showing as a column of one character down the right hand edge of the page:I've tried Word Wrap on and off and although turning Word Wrap off at least solves this it does mean I have to use a horizontal scroll bar when I'm sure older versions used to just bring your code back to the left when it stopped fitting in.Has anybody got a solution to improve this situation. It's pretty much impossible to work on when it runs down the age in single characters.

In the original 2015 version (and previous versions) the properties window would show links that were defined. That is no longer the case and I find it difficult to track links in the design view. Am I missing something?

In a twig based bootstrap site I'm assisting with I keep having to add the link to the boostrap core css on each twig file temporarily while I'm making changes to it and then remember to delete the link else DW does not pick up the classes to assist me with completing them.  Is there a way to make dreamweaver always load and assist with BootStrap css classes without having to include that <link>  in the current page?

One of my webpages includes a php form with fillable fields and I get a lot of spam responses. All of these spam responses include http addresses in the field marked "Miscellaneous Info". How do I prevent any forms with "http" in this field from getting sent to me?

I am trying to edit the code for a link so that it's underlined as standard, and when the mouse is put over the 'hover' function changes to text decoration none.I had this sorted last year, the plugin theme has been updated and it's defaulted to the reverse again. I can find the style sheet and looks like it should be behaving correctly? But it's not?My site is http://menergy.org.au/committee-2016/  and believed the style sheet was located at  /public_html/wp-content/themes/Total/style.css, can anyone point me in the correct direction?ThanksBatch

Hi there,I have a question. I would like to save my Dreamweaver site in a folder located on the cloud (Creative Cloud). Problem is that if I want to access that file from another computer, the root folder is broken because is not the same path. Is there a way where I can save the site on the cloud and access it anywhere else, say like I do when working with a Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator file?Many Thanks!E.Cast

!@Hi,I'm trying to help make the process of moving content from word into the CMS as easy as possible for our content team.Usually we will get a formatted word document. Quite a long time ago I created a website without knowledge of HTML quite successfully in Dreamweaver.  Adobe tell me that this is not possible.  I did not imagine this and I would know if I knew HTML. It seems though that in order do use Dreamweaver now,  you really do need to know HTML.  All I can think is that it has changed massively over the years.  I am also wondering if Muse is very similar to Dreamweaver but with no need to know HTML, although it was definitely Dreamweaver I used.  Confused

I use the common PHP site file structure where include files are store above the web root. This protects sensitive include files, such as those containing database login credentials etc.e.g.Website root:     SiteFolder/public_html/Website home page:     SiteFolder/public_html/index.phpIncludes folder:     SiteFolder/includes/Include file:     SiteFolder/includes/includefile.phpIf I configure my local site folder as 'PathTo/SiteFolder/public_html/' and server folder as 'PathTo/SiteFolder/public_html/' I'm unable to edit and update include files.If I configure my local site folder as 'PathTo/SiteFolder/' and server folder as 'PathTo/SiteFolder/' I can edit and update include files but Live View doesn't work. Pre-DW CC I could get round this in a clunky way by deleting 'public_html/' from the URL generated in the Live View address bar.  However this wasn't ideal and doesn't appear to be available at all i

I'm working on my new website and have a background that is fixed so it stays put when scrolling.  It works perfectly on the desktop, but does not work on mobile or tablets.  I'm a designer, not a coder, so it's probably something I did or didn't do. Hello-I am fairly new to Dreamweaver, but I have made some significant progress with a previous template to create an email announcement.I inserted a table and once I entered the information in a format I was happy with, I was attempting to resize it. Here is where the headache begins. I have tried the following:1. If I'm able to select the table (hover and click on the upper-left corner of the table), and then select "format" it brings up formatting handles in the live view.2. If I switch to design view, there are other tables from the existing template that appear, but my table does not appear.Ultimately, I'd like to be able to resize the table by dragging the handles around. I've seen other tutorials that show how to do this in design view, but since my table is not showing up, I'm not able to execute.I'm also dealing with a secondary issue all of a sudden now where even thought the max width is 620 px, there is grey on the side of that (double-click to fit width) that then screws u

I'm using whatever the newest DW version on CC is. it seemed like a good idea to use a template. I chose the Responsive About Page in the Responsive Starters folder. Somewhere, it has a phone with a sad face included in it. Does that mean something? I would like to remove it. It shows for a brief second when the page starts up or gets refreshed.Thanks for insights.

I'm running Dreamweaver 2017.0.1 (Build 9346) on Windows 10 Pro (1607) 64-bit. I have an irritating issue I'd love resolving if anyone can help.When I click my mouse pointer within the main editing window and start typing nothing happens until I repeat the click, although I can see the cursor flashing I'm typing and nothing is happening. That in itself isn't that much of a problem, it becomes more problematic when I highlight a line of code and hit delete. This results in Dreamweaver trying to delete the last file I clicked on within the file manager. Fortunately there is a prompt to ask; am I sure want to delete the file, but it's only a matter of time before I accidentally hit return.Dreamweaver twitter support suggested I tried restoring preferences (details found here), but this had no effect.It's a major interruption on workflow and I'd love to fix it.

A few days ago, I did an online chat with an Adobe help rep to fix an issue I was having with Dreamweaver (it would always crash immediately upon opening). I allowed the help rep to access my computer remotely, and he was able to resolve that problem. However, after having that done, I started having other issues. I found that the FTP feature in Dreamweaver will not work (can't connect to the host), and in fact, another FTP program I had been able to use with no problem (FileZilla) suddenly couldn't connect to the host either (same host--it's for college courses I'm taking). I know it's not due to problems with the host server or my log in credentials (I've tested it on another person's computer and found that I could connect), so I'm concerned that the Adobe rep, in fixing one problem, might have unintentionally caused some other problems with my computer. I'm in the process of working off creating a website which is in responsive (RWD) design.  However, when I try to load a font with the following media query everything appears fine and the page (which at this point is only a one column grid) images and video shrink to fit the smaller screen of my iPhone 6Plus. Unfortunately, the @11220649-face is not working on the iPhone (I haven't tried it on my tablet yet).Here is my .css code for the smart phone media query..@media screen and (max-width: 580px;){ ul li {float: none;} @11220649-face {  font-family: "Racer";  url('../fonts/racer.woff#Racer') format('woff'); } }Like I said the responsive design of the site works fine on the desktop and the correct ("Racer") font appears however the iPhone is not displaying the "Racer" font and instead display a default font...  Which is not the desired effect.Any ideas?Thanks!
