My old computer died. I've since loaded my DreamweaverMX from 2004 (which I've been using since 2004) onto the new computer and been attempting to activate it online. From the box that pops up telling me I have to. A box which then, again and again and again, tells me it’s "Unable to connect to the Internet. To try again." A problem I have had every single time with this particular software (and only it) every time I've had to activate it on a new machine.   I just finished an online chat with an Adobe representative who couldn't have been of less help. She asked for the Product Serial Number. Which I copied in from the preprinted sleeve the disk was in (which the activation box has always accepted as a valid Serial Number with a little green check-mark) only to be told by the representative that it wasn't. That it couldn't start with letters as it does. DWD. I asked to verify that she knew we were discussing a product from 2004. She said it made no difference and then that my onl

Hello All,A bit of background.I am an amateur seismologist who has a seismic station which creates triggered event files on a Raspberry Pi.When an earthquake is detected by the station  approximately 5 files are created and placed in a folder which is time and date stamped automatically. I can then analyse these seismograms locally using the relevent software... The mission.I have a website which I have developed over the years and now I wish to add these folders containing the data files onto my website so other interested parties can select and download and analyse the seismic events. This is the part I need help with.This is my first post on here and thanks for reading , Hoping someone can educate me , appreciated. 

I would have liked a Swedish forum for my question as I use Dreamweaver in Swedish. Well, maybe there is someone who can read Swedish that can help me.When I try to connect to the remote server I get this messange that it can't be done. I have the same settings as always and this error message has never occurred before. Is the problem with me (and my computer) or with the owner of the website? I don't know here to start...

I am also interested in contacting her.  I am rewriting my website which I did in DW many years ago (1990s)  I am not a professional.  Here is the current site:  [link removed as per forum guidelines]   dont laugh, in those days the options for names were limited.  Anyway, I am trying to use dreamweaver 2021 .  I would like to hire a professional to take migrate the content from the old website to the new.  I have gotten as far as setting up pages and menus but can't get it to show up on internet so I am kind of stuck.  I don't begin to understand the explanations people are giving to this question.   I am willing to pay for advice and assistance.

In split view, the accordion buttons are not opening. The text displays completely in the code panel, but in the WYSIWYG panel, I only see the closed accordion text: the + button does nothing. Is relying on the Live Preview (which works perfectly) my only option? It would be so much more convenient to use the WYSIWYG, if possible, for this. Any ideas?? Thanks![Dreamweaver 2021]

I got a new laptop and forgot my password that's saved on my older one. I know there WAS a quick way to recover it from the settings where the password encrypted is but I cant seem to do it this time.I recently changed it in Aug 2022 and thought I saved the new password. What I saved did not work for the new laptop. It does work on my old one. Nancy, you helped me yrs ago...I was hoping to reach out to you directly 🙂Thanks in advanceBarb

I've used DreamWeaver to create a promotional email. The bottom includes an email link for readers to "Contact Support". When this is viewed in Outlook 365 webmail, it insist on showing the full email address as follows:    If you have any questions [superlongemailaddress@alsolongcompanyname.com]contact support.it should only show   If you have any questions contact support. By inserting this long email address, it is breaking the formatting of the entire email causing material at the top to reflow. I would appreciate any advice on how I can set up this email in a way that Outlook will stop inserting the address. Thank you.

Hello, after updating other Adobe app to the 2023 version, DW doesn't load anymore. It stops the booting during the phase "Inizializzazione di File in corso..." I've alredy tried to uninstall (deleting the preferences) and reinstalling the software but it doesn't work.  I'm using a MacBook Pro with MacOs 12.2.1 Thanks!D

I am trying to import my muse website into Dreamweaver because i want do design my website in muse and then use PHP and MySQL to make blogs and membership systems etc. When I open dreamweaver and right-click  on the Muse website and press "Open With - Dreamweaver", it starts opening it (it only opens the Muse website and just shows a blank HTML)... then Dreamweaver stops responding and i have to close it. If there is any way of making a membership system and blog in Muse (which only certain people can edit [not using Muse]) then please reply an answer... or if possible can people please respond on how to open a muse website in dreamweaver.Thanks in AdvanceRichard

Hello. In Dreamweaver when I type something, it appears randomly at the top of the page for no apparent reason and I don't know how to fix it.

Not sure if this is an update cdhange, but I can no longer see how my FTP uploads are going.It used to show a bar, with the names etc, but now merely shows the name & number of bytes uploaded, along with the total bytes of the file. I know that shoiuld be enough but I liked the old syatem where a bar showed the progress. Is it possible to get that back somehow?

I am doing some maintenance after a number of issues I have found using Google Analytics.I am trying to find<meta content="INDEX,FOLLOW"/> and replace it with<meta name="robots" content="INDEX,FOLLOW"/>I deleted the name="robots" as it is duplicated in my header. I used the Validator W3 and I got thishence I want to replace the deletion. With this I get no error.Below are the sections of my code I am talking about. Thanks in advance!

J'ai tout essayé pour corriger avec le "regedit" de Windows, mais ça ne change strictement rien. Que faire?Pour ce que j'ai à faire, je ne veux pas et je ne peux pas me permettre de prendre un abonnement pour la version actuelle DW. C'est bien trop cher pour mon usage. How do we change the display language in Dreamweaver v21.3? All my menu items are in French (which I understand) but I prefer them to be in English.

I used to use this feature years ago, but rusty, but went to:  this box  below. I typed (pasted in)  looks perfect, but does not work, I click ok and nothing happens.  Used to work perfect. I have nothing more to add. I put perfect url into top field, the new link I want to change to bottom, I click ok, nothing happens. Used to work perfect. 

Hi all, I an unsure what version of Dreamweaver I am using but I pay monthly through creative cloud and it gets updated regularly so would assume most up to date version?I am relatively new to coding and to Dreamweaver. So far I have designed two websites which I uploaded using my FTP client and they work beautifully. I have tried to start another website using exactly the same methods as I did before, but for some reason now, when I am on create new, select Bootstrap Portfolio template the CSS file comes up as read only whereas it didn't before. I have to click "make writeable" but for some reason it does not want to recognise some of the files I have in the root folder (which I have double and triple checked that it is connected to Dreamweaver as the local file of the site I am building) and tells me they are in another folder (which they aren't) and that I should copy them over. I tried this but then the link for the CSS sheet in my source code changes to that from another website,

Dreamweaver 2021(mac) uses "master" for github, but on github I created a repository that created "main".I push things from dreamweaver but they only got to "master".How do I get them them both to use main?

In the past several versions of Dreamweaver (currently 21.3), the Live Mode editor is absolutely horrible. Example problems:1. Click to position the cursor, scrolls the page and the wrong location in the document is selected.2. Type text after getting cursor positioned.  Random characters are deleted.3. Non-breaking space characters are randomly inserted. Why do I keep trying, year after year?  All editing must be done in the Code View.

Ik heb cloud en voorlopig alleen dreamweaver geinstaleert. Echter was ik te vlug en instaleerde ik deze op mijn desktop ipv op mijn laptop. Hoe verwijder ik dreamweaver van mijn desktop om hem weer te instaleren op mijn laptop? Ik kan alle programmas van cloud volgens de licentieovereenkomst maar op 1 computer instaleren.

This is a request to add an option to Edit > Preferences > New Feature Guides to not pop-up new feature guides. It breaks my concentration on what I'm doing and thus is harmful to me rather than helpful. I consider this an accessibility issue.
