Dreamweaver

I am trying to use Dreamweaver 21.2 to develop production server-side (PHP) websites.  We don't really have control of the databases used by ISP's so I am trying to connect to the latest version of MySQL (8.1.2).  First, I had to download new menu items for server-side connectivity (Databases and Server Behaviors) which were removed by Adobe (????????) from the Dreamweaver CC product.  After loading the new scripts I tried to connect with the Window:Databases menu item.  When I attempt to Select from the available databases, I get an error (HTTP Error Code 404).  This error is generated from within the Adobe supplied PHP scripts MMHTTPDB.php and mysql.php.  The server is verified listening on port 3306 on localhost.  Everything but Dreamweaver seems to connect.I was previously burned on the Muse product when support was dropped.  I decided to try Dreamweaver but the lack of server-side connectivity is a show stopper.  The removal of critical

I'm using Dreamweaver CS5 and the link checker is not functioning the way I expect it to (or the way it used to). It seems to be flagging every link as broken unless it is in the same folder as the file I'm checking. For example, if I'm checking file www.example.com/folderA/FolderB/file1.asp and in this file there are links specified like this:1. <a href="/folderA/FolderC/file2.asp">file2</a>2. <a href="../FolderC/file2.asp">file2</a>3. <a href="/FolderA/FolderB/file3.asp">file3</a>4. <a href="file3.asp">file3</a>  The link checker will find only the last one as "OK" but the all the others as broken. Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening and what I need to do to fix it? I'm assuming it's some kind of preference I've set somewhere to not check outside of the existing folder? Thank you for any help.

Hi,I have an image placed inside <header> tags with a class named "main-head" asigned to the <header> as follows...<header class="main-head"><img src="images/MyLogo.svg" alt="My logo"/> </header> ... Currently, when I start out with a small browser viewport and make it larger, the image grows in size as I make the browser viewport larger. I would rather keep it at a fixed size of my choosing.I am wondering if anyone here can tell me if/how I can do this using CSS? Ultimately, I'd like to use media queries to increase the size of the image at specific breakpoints rather than having it grow progressively.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,Paul PS... Hi, I am trying to update my web design skills after not having worked on a website since table based layouts were common. After reading a few books and online resources, I have become fairly comfortable with media queries and using CSS Grid and/or Flexbox to create a reponsive layout. The next thing I'd like to try doing is to create a collapsible "hamburger" menu that will display as buttons in a horizontal row at larger viewport widths, and that will collapse to a hamburger icon at narrower widths.In searching the web for tutorials on how to do this, I have come across some tuturials that use javascript and some that claim to just use .css. I have no experience with javascript, but I have quite a bit of experience with some other programming languages (mainly C++ and visual basic). I think I'll be able to learn javascript (at least the basics) relatively quickly if I set my mind to it. I'm just wondering if anyone here can make a recommendation - should I assume that basic

The FTP window shows the remote files on the left.Filezilla and for many other situations I keep the local stuff (or the original stuff) on the left.Is this possible in Dreamweaver CS6 FTP?

Hello, I am working with DW 21.2 Build 15523See Screen Shot.Issue: I am working with a Nav bar | selected the "Dropdown" text. The only thing showing in the Live View is the List \ .nav-item and \ .dropdown.. Missing from the Live View is the "Action", "Another action"  "Devidor line" and "Something else here". Please share your constructive comments. Thank you in advance for sharing your insight.     

There is a problem that i am having with CC apps. Since I have upgraded to the newest update of Windows 11 I am seeing that I cannot use my apps at all upon just paying for the month as well as over due fees i had; It shows that none of the apps are compatible unless I update my computer or downgrade back to windows 10 wich i cannot do now that its been well over 10 days to do so., i have updated my computer a hundred times and nothing works..im at a block right now and need some relife or tech support..

My Real-time preview doesn't work in any browser. It just gives a loading icon that never stops and says "give us a moment".

Why am I not able to copy/paste within a CSS file?  This has got to be the simplest thing we do.  I have been a software developer for thirty years and this is difficult in Dreamweaver?

Dear Support Community,I have recently started using SCSS to generate a CSS file from 3 seperate SCSS files. Dreamweaver compiles these three into one 'master' CSS file. It does this automaticcaly when saving the file, which is the way I like it.It works, but it's extremely slow! Compiling takes arround 20 to 30 seconds. Way too slow...I have tried many different things like switching of linting, not using url's inside the SCSS, changing the SCSS Output File Style: nothing helps.I am running the latest Dreamweaver CC version 21.2 on a PC with very fast specs and on Windows 11.Please, help me out with some tips how to solve this problem!MatthijsUtrecht, the Netherlands

Hi,I am using DreamWeaver 21.2, and I am trying to learn how to use Flexbox to create a simple layout in which I have three rows of three rectangles on a larger screen, but that adapts to a single column for smaller screens. In Live View in DreamWeaver, I am able to see the change to the single column layout if I drag the right-border of the Live View viewing area to the left until it becomes smaller than the breakpoint I've defined in my media query. I have the behavior I want working in Live View in Dreamweaver, but when I open my file in a Browser (either Chrome or Edge), I am not able to size my browser window small enough to trigger this behaviour.  There appears to be a limit imposed on how narrow I can make the browser window that prevents me from making it small enough to trigger the breakpoint defined in my media query. If anyone has an idea why I would be able to demonstrate the effect I want in Live View but not in either browser, I would appreciate any s

I have poor vision and I can not really read the small type in the program, for instance the file names on the tabs, or the options in the file-->open or the other options on the pulldown menus, options in the css editor etc. .  The content in the windows is ok for instance I can read the html coding and the preview window.  I don't want to change my display settings of my computer display.-Running the Latest version of Dreamweaver Creative Cloud.-Windows 10 operating system. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I started my web development journey with dreamweaver back in 2016 and have slowly moved away from it as it hasnt really improved much since the last big update I beileve in 2019 or 2020. They used to have a roadmap or atleast some updates periodically but nothing for a long while. I am just curious if anyone knows what the future holds for it. Cheers

Frustrating... I downloaded the latest release  (Dreamweaver CC) and I was hoping things would get a little better but alas, I can no longer Drag and Drop and image from the File Panel into a page.  I have to go to the menu, look for insert, pick image, then scroll to the image I want and click the mouse.  Painful especially when I have many images to drop!To make things worse, I can't even drag files from Finder (iMac) onto a page...  I have over 100 images to attempt to put onto a page and now have to manually do theINSERT > IMAGE > FIND THE IMAGE > Click!Am I missing something?  Any advice appreciated!  Otherwise, back to the older version!  G-r-r-r-r-r-r

Hello there,Why does Dreamweaver 21.1 not support PHP 7.4? Why do I only have to use PHP 7.1? PHP 8 is out, but Dreamweawer doesn't even have PHP 7.4 yet. Why why why ? PHP 7.4 and PHP 8 support should come as soon as possible. This has stressed me out and I can't work.

Is dreamweaver available in standalone app or only as a cloud subscription?  Also, can your dreamweaver edit Wordpress sites and any Ecommerce sites, Like magento or zen desk?

After I build a site I have local content that is superfluous such as test pages and unused images. Is there a way to determine which files (pages, images, etc) are not linked to anything on the web site and don't need to be uploaded to the server?

Does anyone have a clue why some of the features on this site do not work on iOS? At issue is the background image in the quote section and the counter section. On the Apple mobile devices the background image is blurred and/or darkened. I am using a purchased template (support is not responding) and editing the code in DreamWeaver. I am no expert. But I suspect a number of the .js files have errors in the code because when opened in DreamWeaver, the text color in these files turns white midway through the end. Errors exist in a couple .css files too. I can't figure out the glitch in the code and cannot find a source for a clean (or updated?) version of these files. I'm attaching images of the screens in question (from iOS) and how they should look (from my Mac). And here is the list of filenames (.js and .css, some plugins) that I am suspect have errors(?). Hi Everyone,   I looked eveywhere for a soution, but maybe I am not understanding the CSS syntax as I am pretty new at coding; but I am having trouble centering images in a carousel when it is reduced in resposive width. How could I do this? On Windows10, when I start dreamweaver, it starts on the laptop display, but I'd rather work with it on the large attached monitor. When I drag it there, it won't size properly and takes some futzing to get it to the right size. And, even after I do that, the drop-down menus are huge and apparently didn't resize properly. Is there a fix?
