We setup the home installs for users during our covid closure using our SSO, however we received user reports that if they have a personal adobe account (with say just one or two products, or saved data) then they cannot login to the organization account and install the products. This would prevent students that have their own cloud work from being able to continue, as the covid entitelements do not include any cloud services nor have access to the personal accounts. We're trying to avoid a situation where for every online class these students have to remove and re-add their existing adobe products and personal data syncs to learn a different product. Typical case seems to be a personal copy of photoshop or acrobat DC.
I emailed my school's IT Department on Saturday, 3/14 to request access as most of the courses I teach require Adobe applications and our school is going to remote learning on Monday. As of today, my IT Director has still not heard back so I contacted Adobe and was told that it would probably take until next Friday, 3/27 before they will be contacted! Good intentions, but poor execution...
Our schools works with an out of area tech company, I have asked them to fill out the request for school access during Covid 19, but I have no idea if they actually did. Is there anyway to find out if they actually did and how long the process for approval is? Thanks so much!
Unfortunately, I am having the same issue, and unable to communicate with Adobe, I even connected with individuals on LinkedIn. Our school is using Adobe 2018 bought through a third party and we do not have IT admin to set the students up with this offer.
Hello,I've tried to wrap my head on Adobe Licensing scheme and I can't figure out what I need. Currently, we have Team licence, but I'm open to change that. My needs are as follow. We have user with specific computer that are using the software. Thus, named licenced for them, even if I don't like them, is OK.But, I have shared computer where more then one user use the computer and those users used more then one computer. Thus, how does licensing work?In the past, I've packaged 2015 CC version and once installed and activated, it was activated for everyone on the computer. But how does it work now? Must every one have a licence to use the product on a shared computer? Because I got 40 users sharing 6 computers, the cost is way higher if I need to but 40 licences instead of 6... As for activation, I've read each licence give you autorisation to activate only 2 computer? So how does my user using more then 2 are gonna do this? What is the requirement for using azure AD inst
We've decided to drop from 'teams' to individual accounts, however, as my 'Teams' plan is up for renewal by 18th April I've only got 17 more days to make changes to the renewal. When I change the renewal to zero licenses it says I need to contact adobe in order to cancel the renewal, but when I go to the contact page there is NO INDICATION of how to contact Adobe and it only points me to the community instead. PLEASE HELP
Trying to do this silently, but of course it won't - because reasons. I included a screenshot to show there's no other adobe apps installed. On a side note - I had to script a good number of creative cloud apps because the main installer doesn't remove them either. I would give adobe my next months salary if they actually made an uninstaller that actually did just that (removed all the components - not just like 90% of them).
In order to immediately facilitate accessing to Adobe Acrobat DC for staff working from home, we installed Creative Cloud App with Acrobat Professional DC on our RDS server (with roaming profiles). By default this has put it in Trial Mode. What is the best way our users can use Acrobat without reaching the end of the trial period?
I received a help request from a student working remotely who was trying to install the Adobe software and got an error message that she did not have “access to manage preferences for Syncing. Permission from your IT administrator may be required.” I forwarded this to our IT support team but it occured to me this might be a local admin issue on her home computer. Can you advise?
Our small private school has purchased device licensing for a certain number of machines. Can our students access the free CC (during the 2 months) on their home computers to complete course work in Graphic Design? They don't have individual Adobe IDs. Does anyone else have this issue? We haven't initiated the request until we figure out all of the possible issues we may face. We don't want the high schoolers being asked for credit card info or anything. Please advise.
First, my thanks to Adobe for offering a free at-home license upgrade for Creative Cloud, this will prove to be a semester saver for our students. As one of the instructors who will be answering questions about this change, I would appreciate it if you could load me up with answers in advance. My questions: Once the request is approved (the IT folks at my institution made the request on March 14), what do the students have to do to enable the new at-home capability? I read in the helpful FAQ that they might have to sign out and sign back in to get their system to recognize the license change. Would they do that from within the Creative Cloud app? Can the sign out/sign in also be done from within, say, Photoshop (they're running CC 2019 on Macs)? The students have already left campus and won't be able to return. Will their Mac be able to recognize the license change over the Internet, wherever they are? (As opposed to them having to be on the campus network at the time the lic
Good afternoon, Can't seem to find a good answer for this anywhere. I work at a university and we are trying to utilize the creative cloud access provided during the COVID-19 home isolation. I have a user who has an adobe account on their work PC that is a personal account. She is using the same email address with the Enterprise or Federated ID sign-in. It goes through all the steps, including takes her to our university's single sign-on page. But when sign in is complete, it says personal account and she has an option to start a trial for acrobat. We've tried signing in and out with a different ID and have deleted the local omb.db file in her OOBE folder. Any other suggestions?
Hello, I am currently paying for my own subscription to all adobe programs for $21 a month, and I am unsure how to switch to the free student subscription until may because of COVID-19. Does anybody know how to switch to this? Thank you
Releasing CC for students is fantastic, but you guys don't see the massive hurdle of asking for our IT admins to manage the rollout. They are absolutely overwhelemed with tech support, getting hardware to staff and students, managing distance learning, etc. My request for CC licenses will not be granted this year. Can you make this easier for us? There has to be a way for the kids to prove they're students without the run around, or their IT admin. If the accounts are temporary anyway, what's the difference? Please eliminate the IT hurdle. Steve - NJ
Hello, I am a student and I've been given access by my university to Adobe apps due to the COVID situation. I was able to download and install Photoshop but when I try to launch it, it asks me to either start the 7-day trial or buy the app. It's like this since yesterday, I've tried signing out and signing back in, but I still can't access it. Is there any solution to this?
I am a teacher at a middle school. Our students have closed email account which only allow them to receive emails from users within out organization. Our District IT admin has set up the Adobe console which should allow access with the temporary licenses. My students are are unable to get past the "Additional account details required" screen which says "This account is missing some important information. Please check your inbox for an email we just sent you; it contains instructions for how to complete your account. Oncen you're done you can log into your account." Any help or tips on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
My university was able to get access to adobe's distance learning resources, but the problem is that I created my adobe account a few months ago using my university email (ajm461@rutgers.edu) and I chose to label it a "personal" account instead of a "company" account because I didn't know that's what it consituted as at the time. It wouldn't let me access the free resources I need for pending online distance learning assignments for my design class, so I tried to delete that account and recreate it with the same email and label it correctly as a "company" account so I could properly access what I need to access but after deleting it, when I went to go create another one with that same email address, it said that I still had an account under that email. So then, I tried logging back into that account, but each time I try, it tells me it doesn't exist????? So it doesn't exist when I try to log in but it also won't let me use it again? And now I'm stuck and I just waited two hours for tec
I have been trying to create packages with CCP for the past 3 days and it has consistently failed at downloading Adobe Application Manager. Did all the necessary, e.g. purge cache, etc but to no avail.Any help???
So these COVID-19 temporary student licenses will not include Adobe Spark? It would be helpful if you can include a list of the online services not included with these licenses. Thanks!
Hi, how many students can you add to one SHARED DEVICE license in the Admin panel?
I'm having an issue with package deployment for per user licensing. I reached out to adobe chat support, and got the complete runaround. First told that you can't deploy packages with per user, despite your actual website giving instructions on how to do so. Explain the issue, he doesn't get it. Beats around the bush, fails to understand, then gives me a completely irrelevant answer. Only to have said help support person "Pankaj" end the conversation. I'm now going to sit on the phone for god knows how long to try and talk to someone from the support staff that actually knows what he is talking about with how packages are built and deployed. The raw amount of money we put out each year on our Creative All Apps teams licensing is absurd to have support fail to help, and then END the conversation with me. I am trying to log in to my work adobe account but it states I am logged in somewhere else. I have gone through all of my browsers and cleared history/cookies but nothing is working. How can this be resolved? Please note, the account I want to get into isn't the account I am posting from, it is my work account.
We're trying to deploy a few of our unused licenses to students at home since they can't come to school. I've already decided to just add their egress IP's for now since that is way easier than changing over the licensing. I have packages from the fall that work on our school computers but need to create some for different OS's. Logged onto the admin console now though there is no menu for packages any more for our creative cloud shared device licenses. Please help.
Hi, I need to close my team's Adobe account, and I can't get Adobe support on the phone. I accidentally entered billing information for a new company on my old company's teams account, and I want to make sure the new company is not charged for a bill owed by the old company. Can you please reach out to me over email and close my teams account? I'd still like to keep my individual account active. Thanks,Paul
EDIT: Just realized this is in the wrong forum, but don't see an option to move it. My apologies! I've been trying to get ahold of support but <insert whining and complaining here> no one appears to be available. We just opened a Teams account that includes a couple of All Apps licenses. We have an old individual account for an employee who no longer works here; she has several Spark projects that we'd like to migrate to Teams. When her files are downloaded locally, they save as a jpeg with none of the source files. In speaking with the sales person while setting up our Teams account, he said that if we uploaded the jpegs to Teams, the source files would be there. I found this hard to believe, so he transferred me to a tech ... except no one answered the transfer, I was on hold for an hour, and then was disconnected by their phone system. Chat has also proved to be zero help, as no agent seems to be available to answer my question. Does anyone have experience with
