I'm not really sure if this is the best place to ask but we're experiencing a very odd issue which started around a month ago and I can't find a support link to contact Adobe directly. We deploy Adobe Reader to our client PCs using the 2017 Classic track, currently patched to 17.011.30138 (latest available). We've had roughly 20 users report to us that their PDF files (hosted on network shares) are disappearing when they try to open them. I'm not sure where to start looking on this one. I can't find anything related to this in Microsoft support forums and it only seems to be PDF files that are affected. This occurs on multiple file shares and across Windows 7 and 10. The only constant seems to be Adobe Reader.Has anyone else experienced this?
We urgently need help with the new packages of the shared device licenses. It is true that any installation of a package on a device can be used by anybody with an Adobe-ID?So anybody who wants to use a device with an active shared device license, can do so?How can you monitor this? How can you limit the users/login on these devices? What is the time-out for a logon?
HiWe have recently purchased Creative Cloud licencing to install onto 8 PCs. (Win 7 and Win 8, all 64bit in an corporate environment)I have successfully created an installation package of all the applications as required from the Creative Cloud Packager. When I run the installation .exe or .msi (with admin account privileges) on a machine it starts the install process and then after a few minutes Windows Explorer stops. Desktop disappears and all that's left is the progress bar with never finishes.I have tested on multiple machines and get the same results. Its frustrating. Can someone explain the cause of this problem and how to resolve it? I am not prepared to have to download CC from the internet for each machine - that seems a bit unreasonable.thanks
I want to disable Adobe Reader XI and Adobe Flash Player AUTO Update using Group Policy
My company has several licenses for Acrobat Pro 9.I am setting up a virtual desktop environment using Citrix virtual Apps and Desktop.Users who have permissions for Acrobat get assigned the virtual app at login. In intial setup, Acrobat installs just fine. I can open and close it to my hearts content. But when that layer gets applied to anybody, it crashes and burns. The error message that shows on the desktop reads: "Licensing for this product has stopped working"In windows event viewer, there is an error that states:"Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Designer 8.2\FormDesigner.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "" on line . A component version required by the application conflicts with another component version already active. Conflicting components are:. Component 1: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\amd64_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.17763.379_none_05b83be8071c94a1.manifest. Component
Tried using AdobeExpiryCheck (v1.0.0.2) from Check expiration of volume serial numbers with AdobeExpiryCheck .But it always displays the following."No expiring/expired serial number found on the system"But the product is licensed using the serialization tool.Is this tool outdated?
We have mostly NUL installations but there are still some serialized in the Enterprise. We are trying to track down a way to separate the two by using the registry, but we have been unable to locate a reliable difference. I know we could just remove the serialization from everything but that's not currently an option for some PCs that we aren't ready to convert yet.I can't find anything anywhere, registry or otherwise, that let's me tell the difference in the installs.Anyone?
I'm getting the message "The system cannot open the device or file specified" when trying to install the Acrobat ver 2017. It's followed by the "Error 2755. Server returned unexpected error 110 attempting to install package.Has anyone encountered this issue before and if so found a solution or workaround?
Hello. We currently have 220 device licenses that I will be migrating over to the Shared device license. Is it possible to use Clever (clever.com) as the single sign on option for Adobe?
I live in Brazil and started studing in a place called Pixels school of design and technology, and they say they're certificated by Adobe. Recently I found out they aren't, and they say they're certificated by another name, IWTraining, and both are the same company. Some friends searched and couldn't find it at the list of certificated companies. So, can a teaching school sell Adobe teaching by a name that's not certificated, even though they have another certificated name? And are any of them ("Pixel escola de design e tecnologia" and "IWTraning") certificated bu Adobe? It aperas they even do the same thing with Auto desk.
Hi Folks,We have users who recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and mysteriously, the Adobe "Create and Share Adobe PDF" button has disappeared. Screenshot below. We have tried everything under the sun to try and resolve this problem. At first after the Windows 10 upgrade we couldn't even get the Adobe PDF tab to appear in Word. But with the help of the other posts on Adobe discussions, we at least got that back.Does anyone know how we can regain the use of the "Create and Share Adobe PDF" button? It's one less click users have to initiate. Our environment versions are Adobe DC (continuous) 2019. Windows 10 Enterprise 1803. Microsoft Word 1808 (deferred channel). And yes, this was all working as expected before the Windows 10 upgrade.
I have spent a WEEK now trying to get support on a CRITICAL issue, every attempt results in failed promises. Our issue is that although Adobe can confirm payment has been made for our enterprise annual subscriptions this not reflected in the Teams portal (users are seeing a message indicating an issue with payment) and I've had users refused access to the apps we have paid for.Since last week this has been ESCALATED (with a failed promise top respond within THREE DAYS!!!!), and today the promise of a (requested) call from a supervisor has (yes, you guessed it) failed to materialize. The frustrating part for me is that there is no way of working around the roadblocks - you get to tier 1 support, they make promises to get it resolved and then - NOTHING!!!!In my 25 years of IT I have NEVER come across a company that shows so little respect for the customer, and such a failing to take action on issues.Has anyone out there found a way to get adequate support - is there an extra you can pay t
Hello,My name is Tony Wright. I teach in Warren, Michigan at Cousino High School. We bought our licenses for adobe to be machine specific so each of the kids throughout the day in each of my classes could use the computer to learn to write code. We have been progressing through Dreamweaver and Photoshop with ease. We tried to use lightroom recently and it asked for a login code from students. We have also noticed that Animate is asking for login information as well. Please advise.Tony Wrightwrighta@wcskids.net
Hi,I need print several documents and I use the "Print" option of Win Explorer to do it. But the size of some documents are A3 and I need print them fitted to A4.I've tried to set to in Regedit (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVGeneral) the key "iprintScaling" to DWORD=2 and bprintExpandToFit to DWORD=0 (according to Adobe Reader DC. Predeterminar impresión "Tamaño real"). But doesn't work. The option in Acrobat Reader is keep in as "Actual size".Any ideas? I use Windows 7 and Acrobat Reader DC 2019.010.20099Thanks in advance.

Hi,We are trying to provision Adobe Reader on an RDS Server.Every time we run any form of Adobe Reader installer during this provision it fails with "The system cannot open the device or file spedified."Has anyone had this issue or know how to get it to work. Thanks
For security reasons we prefer not to have our NLEs/Content Creation systems connected to the Internet. Historically we have used the CCDA/Offline versions of Creative Cloud, however our purchaser is telling me that he has been informed that this is no longer a option, and for us to upgrade to 2019, we have to be connected to the internet and have a active internet connection to use CC. Is this true? I cannot seem to find a straightforward answer? This certainly would be problematic to our security. Thanks for your ear.
Tengo instalado el lector de Adobe en el dispositivo y lo puedo leer hasta la página nº 12, pero no me responde cuando intento leer el libro que he instalado en el dispositivo. Qué puedo hacer?
Foldersc:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCDataandc:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCDataare created at point of deployment of Adobe Pro DC. they are given full control to the everyone group. I am pretty sure this is not something we are doing as part of our deployment but if it is please let us know and how we could change this.If this is standard, what will break if we amend these permissions? This to us is a massive security hole and we need to remove these permissions. I am looking for some advice / reassurance as to whether this will break anything in terms of functionality of the main application?thanks in advance,Ed
Here goes Adobe again with a pathetic decision to NOT include Lightroom CC in the Creative Cloud for Teams ALL APPS plan. Why? We pay more for this plan vs the individual Creative Cloud plan. We pay more and get hosed on not getting Lightroom CC? This is one of the most pathetic decisions I've heard of this century. Adobe is hosing us on the cost already of Lightroom CC as oposed to buying it outright. Now they purposely exclude it from the Team All Apps plan and told me they are writing an article to explain this. Here's the response from Adobe on Twitter about this..."Hi John, here is the update.Sorry for the confusion here, unfortunately LR CC isn't available with CC for Teams. We're working on publishing some documentation to prevent further confusion. ^Raj"Adobe...you are failing to impress with your decisions. They are not appearing to be in the best favor of the customers and your lack of understanding these things is causing some, or many, of us to reconsider spending our hard
Hi allWe have a business account for CC. Everytime we open any of the CC applications we need to confirm the account, see below. This is quite annoying and also superfluous as there is no need to switch accounts. Is it possible to always accept the account and not to have it confirm every time a CC application is opened?
