Bridge recently updated so that more than one window of bridge can run at the same time which has been incredible. In the meantime, I can only open up one Lightroom catalog at a time. I want to be able to export one wedding and while that loads open up the next wedding catalog to start working on that. Instead I have to wait the 20-40 minutes to export all the images before I can close one catalog before I can open another catalog.
It would be nice if LR had a crop guide overlay that can be toggled on or off without using the actual Crop tool. For instance, my camera shoots in 3:2 aspect but I would like for there to be a 4x5 / 8x10 cropping overlay that can be constantly on (or toggled off) so that I can edit for common crops that my clients might purchase such as for an 8x10. If there's already a way to do this, please advise, but otherwise, it would be a VERY helpful feature. Thanks in advance!
You should add the ability to selects WB with a color picker in the masks. I often use color range masks to calibrate my images, but I have to select my WB using the slider, which is often less efficient. Your competitor does it well, I'm sure you can do it to.
Could we add an option to selectively sync RGB channel adjustments within the Tone Curve panel (e.g., sync only Red, only Green, or only Blue channels)?
Hello, before this update happened, I could be in crop overlay and hit "F" for full screen to see if I liked the crop and centering then "F" again and it would stay on the crop overlay. Now it reverts back to the Edit after I exit full screen. How do I get this back so I'm not hitting "R" every time after? Thank you.
Can we please please please get a hotkey for selecting an object in a mask. Or allow us to keep selecting until we switch off of it. When editing in camera raw it works so much smoother. Annoying to have to click add select object over and over to keep adding.
I would like to use Slideshow to display my HDR edited images on an HDR comptible monitor? Is that feature in the works? I'm getting a little frustrated with Adobe. Having developed the fanatastic HDR capability, and not having an effective way to disly multiple images in a slideshow.
Please show full path when I select path from "Catalog contents" I can't see it , there's no tooltip that shows the full name, which gives me trouble trying to figure it out through the images.
it would be great to add the ability to filter the photos in Culling mode by emotions on the face, or at least smiling, crying ...
Hello, I'm just curious to know how many years we will wait, if that day will come, to see the option to cull (browse/zoom/compare) the photos before to import them in the library. If I'm thinking at how many years we waited to see the just the LABELS in Lr... Please Adobe, also if you're earing much more money from the consumers take care for the professionals.
I'm so thankful that finally we can zoom while having the crop tool active. I have been asking for this for literally over a decade! Also being able to leave the crop active while switching photos helps my workflow a lot! There is one thing that has mysteriously changed for the worse when cropping though... Before V15, I used to be able press O until the grid overlay mode was active, then when holding alt/option I could use the scroll wheel to change the size of the grid (actively! every scroll click would immediately change the grid size while alt/option was down) In V15, if I use the scroll wheel in the same setting when holding down alt/option, nothing happens until I let go of the alt/option key, only then does the grid change size! This adds a ton of unnecessary work having to tap and un-tap the alt key with every scroll wheel click just to see the grid change ... it was much, much more efficient before in 14.X! Hopefully this small bug can
Is there a way to search for images in LR Classic by original file name? Thank you! Message was edited by: Akash Sharma
Lightroom Classic would greatly benefit from a “Select Similar” feature in the Library module. For example, selecting one screenshot (PNG or specific resolution) would allow you to quickly highlight all similar images by metadata or visual similarity. This streamlines deleting screenshots, burst photos, or selecting a set of photos to add to a custom library, or find a particular type of shot. It would save time and reduce clutter when handling large mixed catalogs. I work on Windows, Lightroom Classic version 14.4, and auto-import from Android as well as working with my camera.
Hi Adobe team 👋 First of all, congratulations on bringing the new “Remove Dust” feature directly into Lightroom Classic. It works incredibly well — the AI mapping and automatic cleanup of lens dust is a huge time-saver and very accurate. I’d like to suggest extending this feature to cover another common issue: dead or burned pixels caused by sensor damage. In my case, my camera sensor was hit by a laser, and now I have a few fixed pixel spots that show up in every photo. With a fixed lens, the position is consistent and easier to correct, but with zoom lenses, the location shifts slightly, forcing me to manually fix each image one by one. It would be amazing if Lightroom Classic could include a “Remove Pixel Damage” option — detecting and correcting recurring pixel artifacts across a batch of images. I believe this could be implemented similarly to the dust removal logic and would help many photographers dealing with aging sensors or accidental damage. Thanks for considering th
I am shooting with Fujifilm but it seem the problem is related to several brands. How can i keep the original file name (the same recorded in the memory card) when tethering the camera? I know that it' possible to set a custom name/sequence, but i can't find a way to keep the original naming. thanks
Being a wedding photographer our utmost need is AI Culling ( selection of content with a given criteria ) after storage & proper correction Because it will take most of the time of us to share best images to cliant So Just for culling we have to move towards other application rest all can be manage by lightroom so i thing they should add this feature as soon as possible to help wedding photographers need thanks
Since 2015, there are no more interesting inovations. I think it's an insolence that Lightroom can not export 4k video. That can't be a challenge for a programmer to provide a corresponding function. The are a lot of users asked for the support of PSB files in Lightroom, but Adobe do nothing. Adobe must be ashamed that file formats from their own house are not supported. For me is also a big mystery why Photoshop write a file of more that 3GB for a picture with 2 layers. There are still a lot to do but Adobe presents us again and again only small chunks. I do not know how much longer I want to pay for it.I feel confused as a customer.
This may have already been suggested, but it would be nice if the zoom feature in Lightroom 4 could be enabled while using the crop tool to make refined adjustments to the crop area. At present, there is only a clumsy work-around using the secondary display for refined crop adjustments.
The ai auto stacking shows the stacks closed so you can't see if it's stacked the photos correctly and then if it hasn't you have to keep opening the the auto stack slider to try guess if it's done a good job . I think it would be better if it showed the stacks open with the first photo of each stack being highlighted then you can see which photos are being put where as you move the slider.
This is going to sound very petty, but it's an annoyance that's been around for so long that it drives me crazy. Is there a way to make Lightroom remember the position of the tether bar? Whenever tethering is restarted, or just after waking the camera to continue a session, the tether bar moves back to it's default position. I hate it there and have to move it up to the top of the screen out of the way of the main window every time. While shooting products, I have to do this many times during a shoot and it just seems so weird to me. Am I the only one who cares, or have I just not been able to find this in preferences?
It would be lovely if I could select a field, such as a wall or sky, and tell LR to even out the tones in the brush-delineated area, to eliminate blotchiness and weird darkenings and lightenings. Existing tools seem to be not quite adequte to accomplish this in skies, a common problem. Such a tool might somehow "average" the tones' luminosity etc.
The Rec2020 colorspace (aka ITU-R BT.2020) is a critical colorspace for photography and not well supported in Lightroom Classic. Rec2020 is the preferred colorspace for HDR (and is LRC's working primaries when in HDR mode). Rec2020 is also very ideal for print-related work as it includes many printable colors which fall outside Adobe RGB / P3, and yet avoids the excess of ProPhoto (which includes many imaginary values outside the range of human vision). You cannot use it via any "edit in" options to open your image in Photoshop, which is especially important for working with RAW Smart Objects. The colorspace options in LRC preferences / external editing are limited to ProPhoto, Adobe RGB, P3, and sRGB. This would ideally be done as a "JDI", as both LRC and PS support Rec2020, we simply don't have the option in the colorspace dropdown for external editing. Note that there is limited support now in the "export" pathway (you can select file settings / color spa
Its well documented that you cannot crop to specific pixel dimensions and many people have asked this very question. Just google "crop specific dimensions in Lightroom" Heck even someone has built a plug-in to solve the issue. Do you want this feature? We do.
The History feature is superb in that it allows you to step back to an earlier stage in your workflow on an image and take a different direction from there. However, it has always mistified me, right from when I started using Lightroon on a PC about 15 years ago, why 'Publish' and 'Export' events are recorded. Yes, they record that you did something with the image ... but not that you did something that changed the image. And if you step back to before those events, you don't suddenly un-publish or un-export the image! They are fundmentally different, and for me personally, they are about as useful as a chocolate teaptot! I find them useless, inappropriate, dead wood bloat. I have processes that I run repeatedly for many Collections, which Export or Publish e.g. high-res JPGs of all of the images they contain. So thousands of my images have dozens of useless History entries. So, please give us two small features: 1) A Preferences tick box that sele
With the addition of Content Credentials, Adobe has taken a first step toward allowing creators to make use of Content Authenticity Initiative features. I'd like to suggest a second. While researching Content Credentials, I found that the CAI defines a fairly extensive set of assertions that can be added to images (see https://opensource.contentauthenticity.org/docs/manifest/assertions-actions/). One potentially interesting set are the "Do Not Train" assertions, such as c2pa.ai_training, c2pa.ai_generative_training and so on, which allow creators to specify whether they want their images to be used for various kinds of AI training and data mining or not. Because of growing concerns about images being used to train generative AI, a lot of creators would probably welcome the ability to express their preferences and 'warn off' AI scrapers from misusing their work. Much as Lightroom allows us to attach copyright information to images (via IPTC), it would b
