Feature Requests

The feature would allow you to open up a web page as a layer. Allowing limited adjustments, like opacity, layer styles etc. The main purpose of this would to be able to pull up visual assets on the fly for refrences. In my current workflow I will pull refrences into my canvas. This involves copying from a web page  pasting it into photoshop and repeating this over and over for each refrence. With the ability to browse the web it would shorten the process by a huge margin and would make the workflow anyone who deals with this dramatically faster.

Currently when we want to open or import a multilayer PDF in Photoshop, all the layers are automatically merged. It would be absolutly fantastic to be able to keep all the layers when openned in photoshop, and also to keep the name of the layers.   Exemple of workflow: to transform a drawing for technical purpose made with Autocad to a nice colorized drawing for communication purpose with Photoshop. (An architectural drawing produced in Autocad (Autodesk), then exported to PDF with multilayer, and then openned in photoshop with all the layers would make a process of  drawing "colorization" very effective. Currently the only option is to export - import layer on by one.)

Is the effects option available on web? 

In Photoshop 2022, the exporter currently closes after a single export. I don't understand that; I typically need to export an image in multiple resolutions for my clients. I think that the exporter should stay open until I manually close it; not close after an export. That way, when I need to export at three or four resolutions, I can just set the resolution and export and repeat, rather than set the resolution, export, exporter closes, open exporter, repeat. It may seem like a minor inconvenience, but for me it is a really annoying. 

Can Content-aware fill be made available as an option in the Canvas extension dropdown within the Canvas Size window?  This would save multiple steps in a common workflow.

MPO files are basically two layer jpeg's used in 3D photography. These two layers represent the left and right view of the 3D image. I regularly open MPO's in Photoshop for editing.The problem is...Adobe has been treating these simple layered jpegs as some kind of 3D object that needs to be rendered. Adobe has made clear that they are removing their 3D processing from Photoshop and it looks like MPO support may suffer from that.Please...Separate MPO's from "3D" and allow us to open them directly; as the simple two layer jpeg that they are. They never needed that extra "3D anaglyph" processing. 

Here’s a suggestion for improving Photoshop- if I have an open image, and I copy it, and paste it on top of another open image in Photoshop, then the pasted layer would retain the name of the copied and pasted image, instead of being called the generic Layer 1. This should be doubly true if that copied image has been already named (changed from “Background” into a named layer. If I have named an open image, I copy it and paste it into another document, it would save me time and avoid possible issues later if it kept its original name in that layer. E.g.: sometimes we need to blur the image, but not the Layer Mask, or the other way around  

As in title the touch gestures should have the ability to changed on desktop. For example the scrub undo and redo is WAY to fast. What I really want is the ability to tap once with two fingers to undo. Both Procreate and Photoshop on iPad both have this function and its part of my workflow so much that it is now second nature. Funny story, I drew traditionally recently and two finger tapped to undo and it took a second to work out why nothing happened, that's how used to it I am. 

Hi! In current versions (23.2.2 and slightly previous) when selecting a new file type (TIF, PNG, JPG, PSB, etc.) in the Save/Save As dialogue boxes, when changing the file type the "Embed Color Profile: ...)" radio box automatically deselects. This means that I have to take my hand off of the keyboard and put it on the mouse, and that takes time. Sometimes time I don't have. As a printer, I always want that option to stay selected. Allowing other apps to assign color profiles is... problematic! In previous versions, the radio box would stay selected, although in some cases it wouldn't automatically populate if the color profile hadn't been assigned during the in-app workflow.  It would be great if there were a way in preferences/color management to force embedding of color settings on Save/Save As so that I could remove this step from my workflow.  Thanks! I have been trying to find a way to import brushes to the new Photoshop for I-pad program, but I can't find a way. It seems like it's supported in it's sister-program Fresco, but somehow didn't get the support in Photoshop? I find this hard to believe since it is an essential part of Photoshop and one of the best features of photoshop. 

It would be nice to have a tool that can both select  by dragging and tapping at the same time that closes the selection when hit enter or select somewhere close to start point.It would make little selections much faster and easier.

Can the clone stamp tool be added to photoshop on the web?

The virtual sliders are fantastic (these should be adopted suite wide). But in some cases it is nice to Nudge values, in stead of sliding, typing or selecting from the drop down menu. Please add those butrtons.

It should be able to use a channel or layer as displacement map. When applied to a Smart Object, it should remember the displacement map in stead of having to load it each time, when only the 'scale' is changed.   Horizontal Scale and Vertical Scale should be named Offset in stead of Scale. There is no scale happening.       ps add relevant topics to this community input form / none of those apply  

Hello I'd like to know if in the mobile version now I can see  The Brush Cursor Size when I draw, it's very important for me because I can't draw without it. please, let me know Dany

I recently got a notification that Adobe will be ending/disabling the 3D functions in Photoshop. This is tough news because I have spent a lot of time learning and working in this area. I rely on the 3D functions for work and to make a living. Then I found out Adobe will not have another program that will take the place. The removal of the 3D functions without a program to take the place removes most of the value of having the 3D cloud membership. Please keep them!  I'm somewhat aware of why this is happening. I dont understand most of the reasons. I'm aware I can use an older version for about 2 years. I created this 3D model in photoshop. Can you see why I hate to loose this functionality?   

I know (as with nost things) this can be automated by creating an action. I think this is a common enough thing that most people would benifit from having it preset in some way. Ever copy then paste only to find out that the white background didnt come with it and you have all these wonky edges to fill in. Why not add a feature that places a white background on a new layer beneath your work then merges the current layer with this to create a solid background?

One thing that is severely lacking for professionals is more advanced actions and export options for the web (and even in some cases when just moving files between apps, but web is enough for this heated suggestion). Specifically, if you're working on modern websites, you need to save out multiple images (tons in total) for each image needed so you can make them responsive using <picture> and srcset, and this includes WebP format, of which we only have a half-assed plug-in from Google that gives you a tiny preview you can't zoom. All major browsers support WebP now. Why have you not added it into Photshop? What is the delay? Google is going to penalize rank now if your site is slower, so everyone who knows what's up is using these methods, besides the fact it makes for a better user experience across devices. If you think I'm overreacting, and doing things manually is sufficient, bear in mind I had to use actions (or manually do it due to lack of controls) for several t

Wondering if/how i can create batch action in photoshop beta web?

I was recently attempting to integrate a video into a mockup of a phone using a smart object and realized that the video would always cut off at 5 seconds, even though it was supposed to be 18 seconds. I was then told by the Adobe support team that rasterized layers, not smart layers, are the only layers that allow for videos greater than 5 seconds in length. I think allowing the capability to have videos longer than 5 seconds in smart objects would be incredible. Pourquoi ne pas avoir des palettes avec une taille minimale d'une seule ligne d'assets (utiles) ? Et la possibilité de verrouiller leur taille (chacune indépendamment) pour que le redimensionnement de palettes groupées (colonne) ne se fasse que sur celles qui ne sont pas verrouillées à ce niveau…

When using the clone stamp tool, we can use shift+alt and drag to keep the same origin point, but change the destination, which is especially useful in aligned mode (as it is how it behaves without the shorctut in non-aligned mode). I find that this would be easier to do if we could see the spurce " +" reticulum while Shift+Alt+Holding.

Is there a way to turn off the option for download/export when sending/sharing my proof design to clients? I don't see that problem in Illustrator when I send those proofs, so I figure there should be a way when sending files from photoshop.   Let me know!   Thank You! —Cassi Helt
