Feature Requests

I'd love the option of turning off the automatic box that appears whenever I just choose a layer. That's new and annoying, as is the loss off being able to deselect an object by just double clicking. Double clicking is much more convenient than rolling over to the layers panel and clicking, and it's worked for about 25 years—until now. These are two more examples of "If it ain't broke don't fix it."

I can add a local photo or file (in the apple files app) and an image (jpeg) from LR, but I cannot mege another PS file into another.  The files are not saved locally (and thus unavailble via files) and filetered out of LR view (because they are PS files)   There is no easy was to copy a layer/selection on IOS   This is part of my workflow if my camera images require transparancy in post production.   [Moved from ‘Lightroom ecosystem forum’ to ‘Photoshop ecosystem forum’ by moderator.]

When we put a photo of an A4/Any Size scanned paper in Photoshop, even if it is taken from a mobile, if some unwanted part appears on the outer portion of that paper or the A4 page, then it has to be selected manually… Photoshop should add an Option or a Checkmark in the Crop Tool, in which whatever part of the scanned page is visible, it should automatically crop it and remove the unwanted part, and even if the corners of the page are crooked, it should straighten them… At present, all this work has to be done manually, but Photoshop should provide Autodetect Feature like Mobile App CamScanner.

I save a lot of workspace preferences for different types of work I do. Particulaly between drawing on a Cyntiq and when I'm simply adjusting or designing. Sometimes when I migrate from one workspace to another the Option bar either disappears. I look at all three screens and nowhere to be found. I have to try and move to another workspace to get it back on, but the previous workspace is pretty useless when it disappears. I tried hiding it and not hiding it it simply isn't there.Other times the left edge of the option bar for some reason is in-between two screens and I can't grab the edge to move it over.So my idea is why can't the right edge of the option bar also be used to grab it? It would solve one part of this issue. It seems like a very simply thing to do. I don't know this this may have already been fixed since I'm using Adobe 2024 on macOS Monterey. Hi all, I am desperately reporting a very inconvenient brush size-saving feature in Photoshop and begging for a fix.I originally started using Photoshop, but I continually feel stressed because of the lack of a brush size memory feature. I’ve used Clip Studio Paint, which has a feature that remembers each brush's size individually. However, I want to continue using Photoshop because I love this program. Here’s a feature that I believe Photoshop must add:I want each brush to retain the last size I used for it separately (meaning, I want each brush to remember its own last-used size, instead of sharing the same size across all brushes).For example, as you all know, when I use Brush A with a default size of 5 and change its size to 20, then switch to Brush B and return to Brush A, the brush is no longer at size 20. Hi, I know its early days as its just been released but are there any plans to support the barrel roll / squeeze functions on the new Apple Pencil Pro? As far as I can see hover isnt supported as yet and thats been about for a bit... any news / thoughts? Thanks

I have recently downloaded the Beta version, and so far, I am impressed. In particular, the removal tool is performing exceptionally well, surpassing even the capabilities of Photoshop 2025. However, I believe that Adobe can further enhance its product, potentially surpassing even the Samsung S25 Ultra. The removal tool is currently at an exceptional level, and I suggest that some adjustments be made to this update to further improve its performance.

Adding a smoke effect in Photoshop will be amazing, and generating haze similar to the fire generator is also a great option.

The popup help for tools and panel items are too helpful. They are annoying and get in the way. I'm constantly swatting them away but they always come back, like mosquitoes. Please provide an option to suppress them, they drive me crazy.

Suggested Feature for Photoshop Hue/Saturation Adjustment Panel (Especially with Prominent Colors):Currently, when changing a color using the Hue slider, users have to manually rotate the slider to find the target color. This process can be time-consuming and lacks precision.  Proposed Feature:-Allow users to select a Source Color (the color they want to change).Then allow them to select a Target Color (the desired replacement color).Photoshop should automatically match the Source Color to the Target Color by adjusting Hue, Saturation, and Brightness accordingly.This would make color replacement more accurate, faster, and user-friendly.

Smart objects are fine   but  sometimes saving  complex image in 32 or 16 bit ppix , A height map for example . with lots of pixels   just to update smart objects  takes forever .   it's especially annoying when  you  need an immediate  feedback from filters applied on a smart objects .   The whole system is non-destructive  but  slow and not real time .       A huge speed up would be if we could use RAW format which saves  huge files almost instantly . But then  it takes manual update   of smart objects and RAW size/channels  popups  .    PLease Adobe look into it and make it quick and seamless please.    Perhaps with  text side files that a smart object could reed necessary info from. 

It 's nice we coud apply non destructive filters on smart objects  but sometimes it's necessary to have real time feedback FX effects provide .   For example would be nice to select  a channel , not only layer alpha  to chose what emboss effect works from .  An update to bevel&emboss FX options please .     I know it's possible to do with group's  blend if   but it complicates  the layer stack a lot .   Would be so much nicer just as an option  in  emboss fx.    Also would be nice it respects 16/32 pixel depth to show stepples emboss too.    Could be useful to produce  real time height to normal map  for example.

As a long-time Photoshop user, I find managing many open documents difficult because tabs can only be reordered by dragging to the end. I'd like the ability to insert a tab between two existing tabs in the tab bar. This would greatly improve daily workflows. Additionally, since Creative Cloud prices are rising under the banner of AI innovation, it would be more valuable to strengthen core usability features (like tab handling) that affect more users—before investing further in niche AI tools.

Hi Adobe Team,Please add support for uploading custom fonts (.otf/.ttf) in Photoshop Mobile. This feature is essential for branding and design flexibility. Apps like Canva and IbisPaint X already offer it, and it’s a must-have for staying competitive in mobile editing. Thanks! — Atharva

In the Photoshop Android beta, renaming text or layers is a time-consuming process we have to dig deep into the settings just to make a simple name change. Please consider adding a double-tap to rename feature for text and layer names. This would save a lot of time and reduce the frustration of going through multiple menus. A simple and intuitive rename option (like double-tap) would greatly improve the mobile editing experience.

There are many, many (potential) Photoshop users and users of other Adobe products for who a monthly subscription just isn't affordable. They simple don't use the products often enough for a $20 monthly subscription. I estimate that for every heavy Adobe user (designers/photographers/etc. ) there are at least 50 users who love Adobe products but use it less than 10-15 hours a month. If Adobe would create a credit based payment system, where you pay, for example, $0.50 for 1 hour of product use, I believe many of them would start their favorite Adobe product(s) again. If only 10% of then spend $5 a month, Adobe would double their revenue from Adobe design products. I, for one, would definitely start using Photoshop again if such a system would exist. I tried many alternatives, but nothing is as good and intuitive as Photoshop. And it would be far more fair as well. Right now, someone who uses Photoshop for 5 hours a month spends as much as a full time designer who uses it all

There should be an option to disable the automatic trimming of exported elements to their transparency. The trimming makes it problematic to easily place the exported elements in other softwares, e.g. 3D and compositing.

I think it would be a very useful feature if Patterns could be set to follow the direction of the Pattern Stamp tool brush Currently, even if the brush itself is set to rotate and follow the direction of the mouse/pen, the pattern doesn't. It keeps the same relative position to the canvas. I would like to be able to set the pattern to follow the brush and curve/distort etc appropriately.For example, if I was making a cobblestone road, and had a suitable pattern, I'd like the alignment of the bricks to be able to follow the alignment of a road I paint, like so...The Warp tool can be used for similar, but I want to be able to draw complex shapes/lines and have the pattern follow along properly.Thanks

With the Creative Cloud, upgrading versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign feels simple, but not seamless. Every upgrade requires manual effort to customize with every new version number / beta version. It would be ideal if preferences, shortcuts, actions, workspaces, panel settings, etc, could pull from a universal repository so that tedious step of customization be eliminated. 

PS 2025 runs video rendering with Media Encoder settings directly.The lack of this option prevents PS 2025 from being used for color finishing in professional video formats.It is unfortunate that having the same render engine as Media Encoder the video export submenu is missing in DPX the 25 frame rates of the E.U Pal system.Those of us who started working professionally with Adobe Photoshop around the year 2000, even though it is still the Swiss Army Knife of color to date, find it impossible to make specific corrections in professional video and film because we cannot adjust the exports in Media Encoder 2025.I agree that the future goes by AI but the creative artisanal work in P.S. is being castrated step by step.......
