Feature Requests

I like the Ducking feature in the Essential Sound Panel.   However, besides volume ducking, IMHO a ducking technique based on frequency is much more elegant.   This effect is best described as an "outside the club" effect, where you can have a normal conversation between people while still hearing the distant and often bassy version of the music in the background. Like you're literally standing outside the club.   Normally, you would achieve this via a side-chain effect in a DAW. Side chaining, however, is not possible in PPro. Usually, I create a second copy of the music on a new audio track to which I add a graphic equalizer where I substantially duck all the mid and higher frequencies.   All in all, this takes quite a bit of editing work.   Would it be possible to add a slider inside the Ducking section that allows you to determine how much ducking of mid and higher frequencies you desire whenever dialogue appears?

Premiere Pro Timeline Track Highlight?When my or anyone's timeline begins to fill with multiple layers filled with clips (video and audio) and I want to, for example, toggle the track output or mute the audio, it's a bit challenging to find what track the clip is on, when there are maybe 12 tracks and they're at the minimum height. Wondering if Adobe can pop a track highlight color or frame on the affected timeline track nomenclature (left of the timeline) when a clip on said track is selected? 

I wish there was an option for the process of automatically exporting long videos every two, three, or five minutes separately, which sometimes can last up to eight hours, instead of doing it manually from the in and out options, which could take up to a full day of work to export the videos. I hope there will be an option with the new update."

When I want to nudge one or multiple audio keyframes in the timeline, say to shift the start/end of a level change, I intuitively select the keyframes and then CMD+ arrow assuming it'll nudge the keyframes the same way you'd nudge a clip in the timeline, but instead, selecting a keyframe selects the entire clip and the nudge command slides the entire audio clip in the timeline.  It would be great if SELECTING A KEYFRAME ONLY SELECTS THE KEYFRAME AND NOT THE ENTIRE CLIP, so that nudging, etc. would work the same for keyframes as it does for clips.  I'm not sure if there's some reasoning behind why selecting a keyframe selects the entire clip, but if there is, I'd be interested to know.

Right now I can set the minimum pause time between 0.10 and 2.50. However, if I use this to edit with, it can remove thousands of little pauses. What it also removes is longer dialogue pauses that I do not want removed. It would be great to set the minimum and maximum pause length that gets removed. Example: I remove all pauses with lenth 0.13 to 1.5. Anything shorter or longer should not get removed. Otherwise, this feature is almost useless to me because I have to go back through and extend too many clips that were edited out because there's no dialogue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is still no built-in video noise reduction effect in Premiere Pro to this day in 2024??Neat Video and ofther third party plugins have been the only solution for almost a decade now!!Adobe, please make this a built-in effect in PP.

I would like if Premiere Pro had a dedicated note pad window. I always have to copy paste texts to rename my sequences. Or when someone send me an email with ideas or corrections, I would be happy to stay inside Premiere Pro to read these messages with the ease of a little shortcut just to switch to this panel. And for renaming, I have for example a client that needs me to specify in the name of the export the resolution, 4k or 1080 etc. We could have a clipboard manager where you just click in a list of saved texts that you can paste easily everytime you need it.

Being able to press the scroll wheel down to activate the hand tool to move around the timeline would be a nice addition to Premiere Pro. It is very helpful in After Effects. 

I want you to be able to expand the text in the bounding box when you select "Upgrade Caption to Graphic".There are two types of Essential Graphics Text.One is when the bounding box is created by "clicking" and the other is when it is created by "dragging".When the caption is converted to essential graphics, it becomes "bounding box when created by dragging".In that case, dragging the vertices of the box does not change the text size, and unintended line breaks occur.This is very tricky.I would like the caption to be an essential graphic with a "bounding box when created by clicking".「キャプションをグラフィックにアップデート」した時、バウンディングボックスでテキスト拡大できるようにしてほしい。エッセンシャルグラフィックステキストには、２種類ある。バウンディングボックスを「クリック」で作成した場合と、「ドラッグ」で作成した場合です。キャプションをエッセンシャルグラフィックス化した時、「ドラッグで作成した場合のバウンディングボックス」になってしまう。その場合、ボックスの頂点をドラッグしてもテキストサイズを変更できないし、意図しない改行も行われてしまう。これはとても扱いにくい。キャプションをエッセンシャルグラフィックス化したものは、「クリックで作成した場合のバウンディングボックス」にしてほしい。

For the love of God please change this. I've been waiting for this to change to happen over time but it hasn't. While editing I keep my bin in "Icon" view. I really wish you guys had better color codes or indicators diferrentiating between icon types. Its really hard to quickly see which icon is a clip and which is a sequence. Either make the small blue indicator on the lower left a different color or give us the ability to change it. Changing the "Label" color by right-clicking does nothing to help quickly spot the different icon types.   

 Please add transparency grid option for png in the project panel icon view.As you can see in this image, the storyboard images on the right do not display correctly in the project panel icon view, because transperancy is rendered as black. Please add an option to render transperancy as a grid in the same way that you can do this in the source window. I often use premiere pro to make moving storyboards for animations, adding this option would make my work easier.   

In Premiere Pro 2024 and even earlier a small blue dialogue box pops up when an export is finished.  I would like to have an option in that dialogue box to Open to the file location of that Export, so I may be able to quickly go to the location and grab the file immediatly after export instead of file hunting.  It would be similar to Media Encoder after the export is finished, I just don't always want to send to Media Encoder when Premiere Pro's exporter works perfectly fine for what I need. Thanks

I think something like "watch folder" for Premiere Pro Import would be fantastic.  For example on how I see this working would be something like: 2 options when importing media, Option 1 (Legacy Import folder) Option 2 (Continous Media Import Folder) where when you drop new media files into that folder it is automatically imported into Premiere Pro in the same file you imported in the beginning.  This alleviates file hunting and searching and makes workflows faster. This would/could also help when working off of Server media files. When someone else finishes or includes a new media file and drops it into that Continuous Import Folder it automatically appears in your project with a visible Tag indicating this is a new or recently imported file. It would be similar to libraries but for video.

FeatureWhen importing a video to Premiere, you can transcribe it, but lack the ability to replace that transcript with an already written video script. YouTube has it but..This is a feature on YouTube: you upload your video and then upload your own script, which youtube will then automatically generate timings for. BUT there is a lack of options when it comes to formatting, which Premiere does have. Introducing this feature to premiere will allow users to create professional subtitles for their videos in minutes! Workflow improvementIn my experience auto transcribe makes way to many mistakes to be a usable feature in more than a few isolated cases as is. However, add the ability to import your own scrit, at it suddently becomes a huge timesaver and would be attractive to literally everybody who produce content with audio. I was quite shocked to discover that Premier Pro does not offer the feature to automatically blur the background of a video. Imagine I have a video of a talking person and i want to blur the background. I know Photoshop recently got a nice feature to detect subject/background, why is it still not available in Premier Pro. It is actually one of very essential features. All tutorials I found advised to use Gausian blur and mask the subject using tracking. However, tracking a very slow and the mask does not change the shape when the outline of the subject is changing - simply a different use case. I was very sad that adobe does not have the functionality and yet again I had to switch to using Capcut to editing. It is very disappointing that Capcut has some very important features (like blur background and automatic skin retouch), which are lacking in adobe, and I get the feeling that Adobe membership is not even worth it as Capcut offers these features for free

Premiere Pro's automatic transcription system has improved greatly over the past few months and is more accurate than ever. However, it still can't recognise when a URL is being said, and transcribes them with spaces and as 'dot com' instead of '.com'. For example:Current transcription: my website dot comTranscription should read mywebsite.com

Hallo in die Runde!Da ich schon seit geraumer Zeit immer im gleichen Format und mit den gleichen Settings Videos produziere, habe ich mir eine immer gleich bleibende, benutzerdefinierte Ordnerstruktur angelegt. Dazu gehört ebenfalls eine Premiere Projekt Datei, die bereits mit den entsprechenden Material, dass ich immer wieder nutze gefüllt ist. Gleichzeitig enthält es auch eine voreingestellte Sequenz, die das korrekte Format, usw... besitzt. Für z.B. Voiceover nutze ich die in Premiere integrierte Sprachaufzeichnung. Und nun zu meinem Vorschlag:In den Projekteinstellungen kann man ja unter dem TAB "Arbeitslaufwerke" benutzerdefinierte Pfade anlegen. So weit so gut. Das Problem dabei ist, dass man diese Pfade jedes mal anpassen muss, wenn man nicht unbedingt möchte, dass sie exakt dort liegen, wo auch die Projektdatei liegt. In meiner Ordnerstruktur liegt das Premiere Projekt unter "projekte/premiere/", jedoch möchte ich z.B. die Audioaufnahmen lieber unter "../../asset

Someone asked a similar question to this, and the response was to nest the sequence, but nesting doesn't really work that well for what we (documentary filmmakers)  need to do. The image below depicts two different interview clips and their corresponding subclips (marked with a green marker). The first one is a single camera shot. When I make it into a sub-clip for some reason the audio tracks are duplicated. Meanwhile, below that we have a two camera interview clip below that. When I make a subclip of that one, my second angle and my external audio track are removed. This issue makes no sense to me and nesting is not a solution because I cannot freely manipulate the clip in the timeline I drag it in later. Thoughts?

I work In Cinema 4D and After Effects. We've had ACEs for about 2 years now. I made a bunch of renders and clips to be able to cut them into a complicated edits which I wanted to do in Resolve but changed my mind since I've only used it twice for editing. Soooo Like a fukn idiot... I said ok I'll do it in Premiere since my deadline is tomorrow. I make the Edits all day today only to realize that on the final clip I placed all the colors / reflections / gamma are all off on all clips. I look for an OCIO ACE's tool in Premiere, BUT It doesn't exist. Is there no way of fixing this in Premiere?   WHY DONT YOU GUYS HAVE ACE"s YET!!?? WTF

I never understood why you can't move presets around to your liking, instead of having it sort by alphabetical why not have it like layers in photoshop where you can freely order them yourself? Would be an amazing change that could save me loads of time as I have so many presets and it's bugging me I can't necessarily put them where I want them. What do you guys think? (if there is a way to organize presets better please let me know, I've been using numbers to move them from least to greatest and it still messes up all the time.)

Had a feature request for something I'd call "Drop a Pin / Return to Pin".  You're working a specific section of a cut and need shots you previous discarded - say at the end of the timeline. Or perhaps its a part from another sequence. You DROP A PIN at the current point of the sequence you're editing.  You scroll to the end, copy any clips you need. You hit the RETURN TO PIN shortcut and automatically return to the part of the sequence you just left. As if you teleported from one part of the sequence to another.  To expand on the idea, you could do this from one sequence to another, but that seems like a lot to ask for. And honestly you would probably have 2 or more sequences open that you could already just pull clips in form.  On some level dropping a marker could work, but then that sort of negates the OTHER markers in the timeline. Or still keeps you adding uncessary keystrokes.  I would find a feature like this to be useful for gr

I have this problem. When I just move the picture with the mouse, it moves only when the cursor stops, it's very inconvenient. Is it possible to make it move after the cursor?
