Feature Requests

In other Adobe apps, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects, the "Keyboard Shortcuts" menu item is located in the "Edit" menu. However, in Premiere Pro, it is placed in the "Premiere Pro" menu for some reason, which is inconsistent and misleading for new Premiere Pro users who are already familiar with other Adobe applications.   Please move it to the "Edit" menu, as is done in other Adobe apps. Alternatively, place this menu item in the respective menu items found in other apps:   Premiere Pro: "Premiere Pro → Keyboard Shortcuts" ; Photoshop: "Photoshop → Keyboard Shortcuts" ; Illustrator: "Illustrator → Keyboard Shortcuts" ; After Effects: "After Effects → Keyboard Shortcuts" ;   ---------------------------------------------------------------   The issue:

Cursor Frame Behavior (Affecting In Out, Ripple Edits).Ok team, I know you had some guy complain about how the Cursor works in the timeline, and now you changed how it works, which completely screwed over the Ripple Trim to Previous Edit.What WORKED before yesterday was if you were on the front of a clip in the timeline, and you hit the Ripple Trim to Previous Edit, it would remove the first frame and obviously move the entire timeline up a frame to compensate.THIS WAS INSANELY HANDY because if you're trimming a clip, you could just hit that button a few times and make it work right.Now, because you guys changed how the cursor works, I have to hit Right on my keypad, and then hit the Ripple edit button, and it'll remove that first frame.Guys, you seriously screwed over an entire generation of editos who know how editing works. I know some people complain about how the cursor works, but this sucks.Why not just create a preference option where you can make the Cursor act like FILM or act

NDI is an AV over IP protocol.would be great if we could capture NDI camera sources directly into a multi cam project.

The incorporation of the new export Window in Premiere is horrible at best but at least it's manageable, however when I set an in and out point in my sequence and move to export, it's ridiculous that it doesn't default the export range to 'source in to out' like it did on previous versions of Premiere. Instead it defaults to 'entire sequence'. If I want to export the entire sequence, I just won't set an in and out point...as is the logical thing to do.This needs to be changed as it's seriously slowing down workflows and introducing mistakes where there should be no conceivable way of making them. Please stop making the product worse and less intuitive for the sake of looking more modern.Adobe Premiere 2023, Windows 10

I think i speak for most people that want to stick to premiere pro if it could have the 3d camera tool.... I really don't use after effects because almost everything I need is in premiere pro so imagine what it would be if that tool was in premiere pro and not only after effects it'll improve the work flow and save time 

The #1 priority for the next Premiere pro update should be the implementation of ACES! What the heck is going on at Adobe? GET IT DONE!!!

CURRENT WORKFLOW:Every time I add a marker, I hit the Add Marker shortcut twice to open the Edit Marker box. 99% of the time I open this box so that I can add notes to the Name box, and often create an extended marker so the notes I add in the Name box show up on the clip in the source monitor or timeline.  THE PROBLEM:I often have the hit the shortcut several times to get the Edit Marker box to open - a second press doesn't always open it right away. So there are a lot of extra keystrokes, and when I'm adding notes to the Name or Comment box it's just another step to get that done. FEATURE REQUEST:Add an option to always open the Edit Marker box when adding a marker. Having it as a program preference would be nice, but it would also be great if there was a checkbox in the Edit Marker box to turn that preference on and off (so it would be quick to turn on/off when adding markers, without having to go into the Preferences every time).

Would be great to develop an option for really bad sound recording. Especially for documentaries when Camera and Audio timecode are not matching and audio/video clips are not running/cutting at the same time. Creating an AI tool to sync audio that could detect syncing point.

It'd be extremely helpful to make Workspaces as easy to copy and paste from one computer to another as keyboard shortcuts. I work at a place where we are constantly moving to different computers every shift. It would be difficult to use Sync Settings under our Creative Cloud logins, but it is very easy to copy & paste our Keyboard Shortcuts in /Users/[name]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/23.0/Profile-[name]/Mac. It would be very easy to copy & paste our Workspaces from /Users/[name]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/23.0/Profile-[name]/Layouts. However, our Workspaces show up under the names UserWorkspace_#.xml. It would be great if the workspace name was the same thing we name it in Premiere, and when we copy & paste it into a new computer, it shows up under Workspaces the way keyboard shortcuts do.

I can do almost anything my heart desires in Premier, but there's no echo button, and to create and echo i have to nest and copy and add a sequence and add ghost adjustment layers...just why !?!?! Adobe. Please give us an echo feature.

Something I think could be useful with makers would be some new integration with the transcribing feature. When I'm logging interviews, I often make a marker, title with the topic of the sound bite, and then span it over the section of the clip. Taking the time to copy and paste the transcripted text into the comment section would be a pain, but having that automatically added based on the span of the maker could be very useful.   

The masking tool, tracking tool, the crashes (just by switching to "color" panel), not being able to pay it off at once, the great great lack of plugins that you reserve for After Effects only (why? let me pay 5-10$ more and INCLUDE these please or Premiere Pro+ = an hybrid of Premiere and After Effects), AI futures like come on we live in 2024 in a month...generative fills should be inside premiere (YOU ARE ADOBE), timeline futures lack professionalism and sometimes when I select a huge portion of my timeline and want to move things it seems to NOT catch some of the smallest clips 🙂 If they you update it big time next year, I'm switching to Resolve. Features we'd wish to see aswell: upscaling, film grain plugin/ film emulsion, relight future such as in resolve. Thanks for your time. SIDE NOTE Using Adobe products since I'm 15 years old. It saddens me to write down these lines.

WHY? Do I have to clcick from root folder of the drive to select media in IPORT dialog window?I have tons of folders and subfolders. Why there's no option to paste path to folder?Something simular to windows folder behaivior  

**NOTE** This suggestion is NOT for an app improvement, but for a key feature to be put BACK in Premiere Pro where it belongs!! It was crazy for Adobe to dump the legacy titler and not add back ALL of its features -- INCLUDING crawl -- in the newer iterations. This was a VERY popular feature and for Adobe to overlook it or not include it immediately was a BAD decision! Having to do manual crawls is a royal PITA, so Adobe engineers, GET BUSY AND BRING A CRAWL TOOL BACK!!  I say this as a 10-year + Premiere user.

Hi, 🙂 Premiere Pro in its current (2023) version does not have a keyboard shortcut that we can use to send it to Adobe Media Encoder. On the Export screen, we want to be able to export directly to Adobe Media Encoder with a shortcut key such as CTRL+ENTER. 10q   

I'd like to put in a request to add a chat sidebar to Team Projects so remote editors can collaborate within Premiere Pro. Thanks!

Hey,  I am kind of frustrated. I you use all adobe apps constantly then it´s very important that you can fast find footage on the harddrive. But AE or PP or PS don´t have such a predetirmind shortcut. Which I dont understand. So can we pls add this to the suite? I am upset that this hast to be enabled in every single app and that it is not a default. Try to work with multiple complex projects and then add 10 or 20 years. You will get lost at times. cheers Peter 

Hey,  where and how do i add the "keywords" in Adobe Premiere? I added a Metadate line for tags but after the upload the tags do not show up. Any Way this can be added in the App? This would be very helpfull.  Is there any documentation for this?  cheers Peter

Is there a way to create a voiceover using text in Premiere? I would like to be able to type in a couple lines of text and have the program create a voice over for me. Is this possible?

There is no UI to tell if a clip has a frame hold applied to it or not on the timeline. This isn't really an issue with live action moving footage, it's usually pretty apaprent, but when editing screen recordings and the like where you may have extended a moment by adding a frame hold, it can be hard to tell what is going on with the underlying footage when you come back to the edit sometime later.  The only way I've found to check if there is a frame hold is to enable overlays and look and see if the timecode changes over a clip.  Proposal: Add an icon or text to indicate when a clip has a frame hold applied to it. 

As a Premiere Pro user, I would like to be able to apply a default transition that can remember its settings.Currently, when you define a default video transition that is mapped to CTRL/CMD+D, you are only able to select the top-level transition name.  You cannot (for example) choose Wipe as your default transition AND define that wipe as going from B to A with a 12 point white line. You can only choose "Wipe," and the settings that are applied when you press CTRL+D are the transition's default settings. They're unconfigurable.  I would like to be able to press CTRL+D to apply the transition as well as any of its settings that I have configured.I would like to see this functionality expanded so that I can maintain a "bank" of my most commonly used transitions (including their settings). I want to be able to cycle back and forth through that bank with one pair of keyboard shortcuts. Pressing CTRL+D would quickly apply the currently selected transition from my bank (including i

I want to be able to upload to Frame.IO without any of my collaborators or team members knowing. And then trigger a notification later in time when I want them to be able to view the new uploads, and possibly be able to schedule the time of when that notification will go out. Multiple reasons for this: For instance, if I am editing overnight and I don't want the notification of the new upload to be missed when they wake up in the morning. Or if I am editing on the weekend I don't want the other people involved to see the notification until business hours on Monday. If they get it Saturday they might forget about it when they are back in the office.  The other reason: I am uploading tests for the sake of comparison viewing with existing edits, I don't want to overload the team members/ collaborators with notifications so that they will then miss the actual notification when it is time for them to review.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Hello everyone! Wouldn't be nice to have a shortcut that does the ripple delete through all the clips that are selected with one click? I don't understand why there's not a shortcut yet, it would be so helpful in the first stage of the project where you have to choose between clips and it would save a lot of time 🙂
