Hey folks!I am currently editing a massive amount of time lapse videos of people working..There are hours and hours of material and hours and hours for me to manually edit all the little gaps where no people are seen in the clip/no work gets done..And it just crossed my mind that that would probably be a very easy task for AI...just like auto deleting pauses in speech, AI could detect video material where nothing happens and delete it..Until this is read by someone who also likes this idea, furthermore someone to program and implement this to premiere, this is probably too late for me.. but maybe in the future.. someone else has the same problem...What do you guys think? ps.: if this feature already exists - i hate myself and hope you tell me where to find it 🙂

There doesn't seem to be much difficulty, I just wanted to clarify how to export audio only or video only? Sometimes it is enough to transmit only the sound. I just wish I had more control over the process.For reference, I'm attaching the AAF export settings window from AvidMC.Thanks

So this is not a big deal, don't want to break anything, but I'm sure many users often have to do extensive relinking...  Gotta say I find the relinking process very efficient, except for one thing...  If you've got a media drive with all your media in a folder structure that matches the folder structure on the computer that it was created on, great... everything usually relinks when I relink the first file... Sometimes you may have to relink a few files, but generally works just fine...  However, when you're doing with someone who's worked on the project but doesn't have a clue...  when you hit a dead end and realize that you don't have the media, would be great, rather than having to cancel and go back a few steps, if there was an additional button to "make offline" and load the next offline clip...  Make sense?  I'm working with a client who's done some preliminary edits in Premiere 14 (I think she said). Sometimes I have the media, sometimes I don't...

Win 10please add a larger hit area around each name of previous projects in the home window panel.at the moment, the hit area where a mouse click works is a bit subtle, and it is unclear if a single click or double click is required, even if the mouse pointer changes. I find myself often frustrated by clicking on a prev project and it would not open because i was not precise enough to click the exact center.

I've had this same experience for YEARS (hence part of the reason for my lack of progress (and patience) learning Premiere).   This morning, all I wanted to do was CROP a video.  Good grief could it get simpler?  So I type, well, "crop a video" into Premier Pro Help - and I get results about masking, trimming, tracking, ETC ETC.  But - without digging and digging and DIGGING for my specific question (which seems pretty basic?), I can NOT find the answer.This specific example may or not represent the exact help issue I've had for YEARS with Adobe, but it's very similar.How in the heck can a multi-billion-dollar company not have sorted out it's HELP documentation any better than this?   Now of course I recognize I may be missing some BASIC way of actually getting HELP - but then maybe that's even more emblematic of the global problem - why is it so hard and unintuitive in the first place to type a simple help statement and NOT get the question answered? Please allow the MMB to act as a temp pan/hand tool, just like in AfterEffects.it is hard as a user to constantly rethink the UI when rountdtripping between AE and PP.Additional bonus feature: allow the scroll wheel to act as a zoom tool in the program window

Please add subtle and alternating shading differences to the tracks in the timeline.use case scenario:I work on a documentary with 30 video tracks (mostly video overlays and tons of graphics). those tracks are set to "skinny" because the asset name is visible. given the number of tracks, it is hard to tell which track an asset is on (i.e. to temp turn the track visibility on/off). (same for audio tracks)a subtle alternate shading of the tracks would help to visually guide the user which track the asset is on.alternate solution: create a visual indicator on the left side (i.e. a highlight in front of the lock icon) to show which track has an item selected.

I like to have just 2 Timelines/Sequences open at a time; one with the rushes/daylies (also loaded into the source monitor, just like om Avid), and one Timeline where I'm working in. However I always have a lot of different source timelines that I need to switch between. I don't like having all these Timelines open, because it gets cluttererd quickly.It would be ideal if there was an option to limit the amount of open Timeline Panels. So for example, when the limit is set to 2, and you open a third Timeline, the first Timeline that was opened gets closed automaticly. Thanks!

Gros bug au niveau des timestamps: lorsque l'on supprime les timestamps créés au niveau de des "effect controls", ils se suppriment bien, mais la video elle même les garde en mémoire (d'ailleurs le "tracé" qui apparait sur l'image pour montrer le mouvement au fil du temps lui ne s'efface pas). Enormément de temps perdu dans la mesure où il n'est donc pas possible de revenir en arrière pour corriger ses timestamps... Il faut complètement refaire avec un nouveau ajout de clip... J'espère que cela sera réglé rapidement...

It has become a cumbersome process when importing any effect into my project as there is no streamline way of dedicating a specific folder to the selected effects prior to importing or after proceeding to import, there is only one "import presets" dialog box that prompts a new Finder/Explorer window for me to locate the effects and/or presets then import, after that it decides where it wants to place New selected imported effects.  It can be most often random in this process, requiring me to search out the effect by either digging through all the collapsible tabs or going to my finder to find the exact name of the preset or effect and type that into the effects panel search box to the "T" before I can locate it in my effects panel.  If there was a live preview before importing commences that prompts me to make a new dedicated folder or choose an existing one that I know of off-hand that would be far more helpful. When multiple projects are open and you're jumping between sequences from two different projects, it's easy to get mixed up between what you have active in the Timeline versus which Project panel is active. It would be helpful to have a setting that we can enable that will link the Timeline with the Project panel, similar to the "Linked Selection" button in the Timeline. So, for example, if I have Sequence A and Sequence B open, when I click over to Sequence B in the Timeline, the Project panel will automatically switch to Project B that contains Sequence B.

Let's say I want to fill a 25 second space with 7 still photos. What's the quickest way to set these photos to the correct duration in premiere pro? Right now, I use an online timecode calculator to calculate 25 divide by 7, then place the 7 photos on a timeline and manually set each of their duration. Is there a better way?

Resolve currently updates the audio waveform previews in their timeline in response to clip volume keyframes. This provides a quick, intuitive, visual way for me to manually level clip dialog volume.   I would love to see something like that workflow in Premiere. Thanks!

Hi,    it would save one step if we could access the duplicate timeline prompt form the timeline submenu, when clicking the timeline with the right mouse button.    And if the duplicate timeline command would excecute if we are in the timeline.    If you need to deal with a lot of different versions this is a big help.    thanxs Peter   

Hi there! Wondering if it would be possible to add a feature allowing the original color labels applied to clips to stay when a clip is nested in Premiere? Would be a great work flow improvement to those of us working with several camera angles.At present, the clips automatically default to green when nested, no matter what color label is applied to the original clip. I do know that you can re-apply a color label after nesting, but currently it defaults back to green if you render or close the program and re-open. Thank you for your time and consideration! 

The workspace panel has lots of default panel options baked in, but all of them are built for a single screen set-up. While I know you can rebuild the setups yourself... it would be nice if there was a feature that would let you switch between single screen and dual screen defaults in the workspace panel... that way I can just click and work, rather than having to build first.

It has been over a year since the Premiere Pro export window was changed to a page, and it is really frustrating how it is conpletely uncustomizable. Please let us resize and close windows (especially the preview window and destinations, beither of which do I ever use) and create workspaces for the export page. This would speed up my whole workflow, making everything more efficient. I could just show what I want to see, just like in the edit page. I find the customizability of Premiere's user interface to be the feature that really hold Premiere above DaVinci Resolve, so the whole app's interface ahoukd be customizable, not just the edit page. An added bonus would be an optionto open all dropdown arrows,.

It would be nice help the user when a certain workflow is used.ex.When I start a new project I copy the mediafiles to a working directory, local drive or server.Then I start to open a predefined project with al screens set.Next I save this project to the working directory.When I now select import I expect Premiere to start opening files in the directory where I just saved the project!Not my documents etc...!Same goes with export,with new projects, choose the project location as first default output directory.

Workspace LOCK - Disable Tab Position & Proportions change on click Hello Everyone!Many times it happens that while clicking to scrub my timeline, I accidentally snatch a tab and move it, causing a whole mess because it changes proportions of all the other tabs by snatching itself on an edge and making a new panel. Please make a Workspace Menu option to lock all tab positions and also make it a Mappable Keystroke. THANX!
