Feature Requests

The cool thing about Premiere is the ability to have all these different windows which you can adjust and place however yout want them. Especially using two screens, this ability is really useful. I often work with scripts en documents during my editing. One thing I would like to see is to have a window where I can load a document (.txt, .doc, .pdf) in so I always have that in my Premiere environment. It would be really usefull to not switch between Premiere and software like Word, Acrobat Reader, or even Notepad, but just be able to read my scripts inside my Premiere environment.I hope this will be possible in hte future.

Premiere allows you to create captions from a transcript, but not a transcript from captions. Our workflow is to correct caption spelling and caption formatting in the captions panel.  Once corrected we'd like to export a reader friendly transcript. The same type that is in the transcript window. As of now, we have to correct the transcript and then correct caption formating in the caption window. This requires us to read the text twice.  Our videos are 1-4 hours long so this becomes cumbersome. It would be better to correct everything in the caption window and create a transcript from there. 

Full disclosure I'm a novice editor, so I'm still learning about Premiere capabilities -- if something like this already exists, please let me know where to find it! Something I wish Premiere had is the ability to recognize when you've cut a video clip but you want to remove the cut without having to hit "Undo." Suppose I cut a video clip to switch angles but I decide later (after many other edits and far past the point of "Undo") that I don't want to switch angles; I want to keep the angle the same. Sure, I can leave this cut into two clips, but it'd be super useful if I could "stitch" the clips back together (provided there aren't any missing frames from that original source clip). I know you can group clips but that's not exactly the same as the feature I'm looking for. Is there anything else like this that would combine the cut clips back into their original uncut segment without having to pull it from the full video file? Am I crazy to want this feature idk I'm editing a docuserie

Coming off 7 years of Avid, now learning Pr.  I have seen Sequence Follows Play Head but I want thePlay Head to follow when I click onto a clip…like Avid does. I'm amazed that Pr does not have this feature. Is this possible to be done with Pr?Thanks

It would be easier if I didn't have to switch to the Selection Tool to drag-select clips, then switch to Ripple Edit Tool. There are many instances where I'm switching back and forth, back and forth, and even with shortcuts it feels unnecessary.

Il y a donc un paramètre qui me plaît particulièrement dans Photoshop, c'est celui d'avoir un aperçu "immense" des polices d'écriture. Hélas, 1000 fois hélas, on ne retrouve pas cette possibilité ni dans Premiere ni dans After Effects... ce qui m'agace prodigieusement car là, en l'occurrence pour ces deux derniers, les aperçus sont minuscules. Bref, je voulais savoir (bien naïvement peut-être) comment suggérer à Adobe de corriger cette lacune pour avoir des aperçus de polices dignes de ce nom.Merci d'avance !

I fall further and further out of love with Premiere every time I use it.  I want it to be the best go-to NLE but it's just not up to snuff.  There is still a huge issue with importing sequences and having the same media brought in again and tons of unnessasary bins.  Premiere should easily recognise when a clip is already imported and in use.  Deleting a clip from the project should not delete every instance of it in every sequence.  At least just make it appear offline, or leave a reference of some kind so we can see what was there.  This becomes difficult to track in larger projects.   Larger projects.  Premiere has a massive problem with project files getting too big.  Once they hit 50+MBs they become almost unusable, saving and opening takes many minutes.  And no, I'm not going to delete sequences.  I'm about to break up a project for another editor because the project file is over 100MB and hardly responive.  What c

2023. This Premiere Pro bug is STILL not fixed! Adobe! Seriously, how long does this important fix have to wait?!If you google for it you'll find dozens of videos where Premiere Pro users suggest fixing this frustrating 4k video offset (a footage moves out of centre of the screen when a warp stabilizer is applied and the scale to frame option is set in preferences as default for bigger resolutions) by adding .01 to the scale value. I first came across this issue in 2019, now is the year 2023. I can't understand is everyone ok with this bug and the Adobe not fixing it?! I gotta tons of 4k footage sometimes and half of my editing I'm adding .01 to the scale to at least be able to see the stabilized footage. I don't know, is it a kinda joke or easter egg from Adobe as to make people mad with the fact that a Pro software has such a bug?! Upvote, guys, UPVOTE IT MASSIVELY!

Having spent two hours with a very helpful online tech person, we agreed that Premier Pro has no easy way to adjust the speed of a Timplapse video. There are workarounds, but a simple 'asfer' and 'slower' buttonwould be an appreciated addition to the program. Please add this to the next software update please!

I am so sick and tired of this [KURWA CENSOSER] app. You guys work on so many cool projects and adding so many nice features, but the lack of integration is really bad. Lumetri Color is still kind of a standalone add, everything is a standalone new feature that crashes and the cloud fonts and all this crap you keep gluing onto the app. Our whole editing team is getting there where we are slowly learning alternatives to Adobe apps. And i hate that. I really don't want to learn or find alternatives, please work on stability. Please work not on gaining future leaps and all these imaginary future clients on mobile and ipad apps, but please keep existing customers a priority. I am writing this because my project just crashed and while it's set to 15min auto-save, the last autosave is more than 20min old. And my setting was 3min, but somehow the update changed it. I am so close to rather using inferior products that continuosly paying you guys to mess around with cloud $HIT. Please don'

I'm surprised that as of the latest update that a vertical video format for a sequence and basic settings frame size on the export screen have not been added. Adobe has made some steps in other arenas to get closer to making themselves competitive against smart phone video editing. But this prorpably should have been one of the first steps. I've created my own custom sequence with these setting but I still have to manually adjust the frame settings on the export screen when I'm finished. Is anybody else desiring this quick fix?

Hello, I'd like to see a native filter in Premiere Pro that cleans up video noise from high ISO clips.  It looks like the 'Median' effect has been moved to the Obsolete folder and the only thing built in to Premiere Pro presently is the 'VR De-noise' effect which leaves much to be desired.  This only seems to soften the footage in the hope that the noise is essentially blurred out.I'd like see something simlar to how Neat Video works (and other add-ons) where it looks a few frames back and ahead to pick up the noise pattern and then process it out as much as possible.I see there is a new Noise Reduction entry on the Wait List for Photoshop Neural Filters.  Maybe some of this tech could move over to Premiere as well?

Some times i have to use presets for a zoom in and some times i have to use the Transform effect for a specific zoom. Bud everytime i have to use the one or the other. I manually have to type Transform again or i  have to go to the Presets map. Maby there is a way to have 2 effects panels. So i can switch in between so you dont have to retype it again and again.

Is it possible to have information entered into the "comment" bin field transfer to subclips from masterclips. Information logged in "scene" and "description" do. Why not "comment"?   This is important because Adobe will not let you add or change headings in Media Browser. So if you're looking at material from other projects "comment" is the only user addresable text field you have for descriptive clip info. Plus it should transfer anyway, like the others.    Also, is it possible for custom text metadata fields to transfer to subclips from masterclips? I've created some to tag and categorize a very big library of content.  And some to get around bugs in the Media Browser ingest process that resets clip names to defaults as they pass through Media Encoder. When I create subclips they are blank of the information entered into the masterclip filed.   Hopefully there is something I am overlooking.    Thanks.    Mod note: Title was changed s

The number of hoops to jump through to get proxies up and running can be quite cumbersome and difficult to explain to newer users. -Exit Premiere and open Media Encoder-First create an encode preset for your file,-Then create a separate "ingest preset" and nest that encode preset inside the ingest preset.-Save that, but Premiere Pro is ignorant of this so you have to "Export" this preset to some place on your hard drive-Open Premiere and then load your ingest preset. (not sure why this can't just auto populate with all your media encoder ingest presets... also no way to delete presets from this list.)-Finally make your proxies and hope media encoder doesn't crash in the process.What I would like to see is a much less roundabout way to make proxies in Premiere:-Select clips you would like to make into proxies-Launch a dialog with all of the normal media export settings (codec, size, etc) with a few extra toggles specific to proxies (like save next to original media in /proxy etc)-Proxie

Bonjour, l'ancienne interface pour faire des nouveaux projets était mieux avant, moins intrusive.Aussi, il n'y a plus moyen d'enlever la barre Espaces de travail ( avec la maison) car il n' y a plus dans la version 2023  dans onglet fenêtre Espaces de travail ( ce qui enlevait cette barre qui me sert à rien et qui est maintant toujours visible....merci adobe...pfff).

I'm here to request what seems to be a longstanding-yet-unfulfilled wish for Premiere Pro, thank you for your time.  Community, please chime in with support for this - I know there have been past requests! The Request:The ability to nest audio clips in a timeline, while preserving the original source cuts in a subsequence, much like we can do with video. Why is this relevant? In working with film studios and with entertainment tech, I often create sizzle reels from multiple sources, and also work with composers. In either instance, I may be given dozens of audio tracks which I'd like to comp together as source from the start, since I know the audio won't be adjusted once it's been synchronized,  and yet I want to keep my timeline streamlined. A composer may provide a dozen separate audio stems that comprise one song, which can quickly fill up a timeline. If, as a source, I am sent MONO stems for content mixed in

Dear Adobe Premiere team, I would like to request the addition of an arrow shape to the quick shapes toolbar (between rectangle, ellipse and polygon) in Adobe Premiere. This would allow users to easily add arrows to their videos, with the ability to adjust the length and angle of the arrow as needed. This feature would be very useful for educational screencasts and other types of videos where arrows are commonly used to direct the viewer’s attention.Arrows are used in large quantities and it is therefore very time-consuming to draw them again and again. Essentially, it would be a line from one point to another (it could also be like the diagonal of a stretched rectangle which can already be drawn) with an arrow symbol at one end. And if it were configurable (such as in e.g. PowerPoint), it would be great, but it’s not necessary. Thank you for considering this request.Sincerely, Petr Voborník

Transcription is so useful, but if you're doing a bunch of it, it is a huge pain to rename speakers. First, what are those radio button's doing? As far as I can tell, there's absolutely no puropse for those radio buttons.And then, in order to rename all the speakers, currently we first have to click the pencil, then highlight the name, then add the new name, then click off of it. Why have the pencil at all? It feels like it should work like renaming a file in your project panel, you click on the name and the text box pops up (with the name already highlighted, since in all likelyhood you're just going to change 'Speaker 3' to a comletely different name) and you can edit it. And then you should be able to press enter or return to move on to the next one, or at the very least finish your editing of the name. Lastly, let us be able to use enter or return to close the dialogue boxes and save your changes.  

When working with proxies, it would save a lot of time to be able to render previews (of effects like warp stabilizer, for instance, by "Render Effects In to Out") at the quality of the current Proxy, rather than the Full quality. The feature could default to rendering previews based on whether the Toggle Proxy button is turned on for the given clip or not. Or there could be a setting that you could change to have the render previews rendered at Proxy quality. Thanks for listening to this idea, hope you can mplement!

Dear Adobe,I often create same video in three different languages - English, German and French. This multilanguage scenario involves not only the voiceovers, but also plenty of custom graphics, imagery, subtitles and other text-based assets. For now, I try to keep separate language-oriented tracks and switch them to the appropriate language prior to the actual export. Needless to say that even though I try to stay organized, sometimes I miss switching a track or two as they are scattered all over the timeline (and it gets fairly messy with more elaborate edits).Here's my vision: new Localization tab. Here you can define the individual outputs (does not necessarily need to be language-based, same video could be split by different criteria, such as the business area - e.g. a video about a booking system for hotels / restaurants / garages / ...).
