Hello I asked some time ago about the timeline the waveform that changes when you modify it as on Davici. And now with the latest version of Davici they've integrated the audio function with AI, it would be nice if there was the same thing.
Many months later, the new project screen and exporter screens are still very poorly designed. There have been countless complaints about it everywhere on this forum, on reddit, on youtube, yet Adobe has refused to listen to their paying customers, and I guess by now people have just accepted it (Not very good customer relations).I've read that ranting isn't considered helpful on this forum, so here are very specific things for why it's bad:1)The new presets system is worse than what it was 2 years ago. Now when you select a format, then choose a preset, it defaults back to completely different formats based on the preset you choose, instead of having all the presets ONLY for the format you selected.2) The entire layout is worse including how the export button is all the way at the bottom right, when all settings are at the top left3) You can't press enter on your keyboard to start a render4) It takes more clicks to export compared to the old system from a couple years ago5)The n
It would be great to be able to match frame / reveal in project/ and be able to match back to the source from a subclip that also alows you to trim past the subclip boundaries. When that box is unchecked it is functioning more like a sub sequence than a subclip, where as being able to trim past the subclip boundaries prevents matching beyond the subclip's orginal boundaries and prevents you from being able to match back to the source, which is critical in offline workflows!!! This has been one of my biggest complaints about premiere and has affected my workflow for the past 5 years since I switched from avid!
Hello it would be nice if Adobe offered the same thing as Davici Resolve about the waveform that changes on the timeline the waveform of the audio that changes when you modify it as on Davici. And now with the latest version of Davici, they have integrated the audio function with the AI, it would be nice if there was the same. That would be great.Michael
I am working on a project where some footage still had to be shot, so I left some gaps to fill in later. I would like to fill the gaps by selecting and use 'Replace' as if it where a clip.
I regularly edit out dead space and more often edit video clips where there are specific audio cues and when it's a simple cut and trim, the little frame bar is covering the audio layer so I cannot accurately trim. Maybe reduce the transparency, or move it more out of the way, I'm not sure, to be honest. I am just reporting something I've had a minor issue with in hopes I am not alone. Yes, I could simply make 2 cuts but when I am in the zone I typically make one cut and then trim around to wherever I feel it fits best, hitting CNTRL Z each time to recut just doesn't flow the same.
Hi - I would love some shortcut for changing my video transition duration. The shortcuts panel tells me that command-G should convert a selected transition to the default, but it doesn't work for me....
Several projects in this version do not show thumbnails for assets in the Project panel, whether still or video files.
I film events, weddings and documentaries. As such I am working with 400 - 800 clips every project. Whenever I load up a project and open a bin in thumbnail view I have to wait for the thumbnails to populate. I primarily use h.264/h.265 so this takes a while (i dont have the time or data resources to re-transcode everything to prores or DNxHD). I have to do this every single time I open the project and I have to keep scrolling up and down the bin to get premiere to generate all of the thumbnails. I can set a "poster frame" in a preview window but that doesnt affect the thumbnail view and this is flushed the next time I enter premiere. Please can we have a setting to cache the first frame of each clip (In point ideally) as a thumbnail. Premiere is obviously doing this to an extent already. When I come back to the bin during the same session the images are all still there... It just gets flushed when you close the project. An option to prevent that flush would be a Godsend for people like
Search Bins have not changed since the feature was first launched. We have two "search criteria" options, limited to preset metadata options, seperated by an "and/or" option. That's extremely limiting. At the very least we need to be able to add more than TWO seach criteria. This should be simple enough, right? But to make search bins truly useful, I'd love to see a more powerful revamp - with access to all metadata (not just a limited preset list), more conditional paramaters (i.e. "contains", "does not contain", "begins with", "ends with", etc), and completely customisable so that users can tweak it for all sorts of workflows. For reference, look at how MacOS Finder's search tool works.
I was extremely excited about the new TBE feature in Premiere but have now seen it's shortcomings for higher end, pro-level productions. TBE is great for videos with 2-4 audio channels attached but when you work with 4 plus seperate audio tracks(aka 2nd system audio) there's a few more steps invloved to build out a radio edit. If working with an interview that has 2 cameras with audio AND 4, 5 or 6 + 2nd system audio tracks you have to work like this:1. pancake timeline , transcribed INTV sequence on top, mouse click to top sequence, make selection/In and Out, mouse click to bottom blank sequence(radio), and NOW you can paste your selection. (Is there a keystorke that will highlight the bottom sequence window and then back up? If so, that would help but I'm not even sure what to search for to get that answer)IMO, while better than before TBE, that is just way too many clicks so the alternative's are to ... 2: Duplicate the transcribed sequence and then destructive
I would find it incredibly useful to have a Loudness Meter always visible as a dockable panel. When I have it in my plug-in chain in the Audio Mixer, I can open its settings window and target it so it's always visible, but that's not ideal. It floats and I really have no place to put it. Plus, as a floating window, I can't customize it in a workspace.Right now, I use an iPad via Sidecar to hold the Lumetri Scopes so that I have always-on scopes. It's perfect for the video side, but being able to do the same with the Loudness Meter would make the audio side perfect as well. Imagine all your levels on one side screen, freeing up your monitor for all the working bits.I do a lot of broadcast work, and having this feature would be an valuable timesaver. Thanks! -Chris
It should be super easy to upload batches of sequences to frame.io. Just like we can when we're exporting normally, we should be able to select a range of sequences in the project bin and either 1) have the option to export/upload to frame.io in the media export panel, or 2) have the ability to batch export within the frame.io panel. Having the ability to export to frame.io from the export media interface, like you can do for YouTube, Vimeo, etc, would be incredibly useful as well so that we have all the normal export features at our disposal.
How do I exclude the usage trigger (blue composition icon) from all other sequences except the one im currently working on. Basically I dont want to know if a clip has been used or not unless its in relation to the current sequence, is there an option for this or perhaps a workflow im not thinking of? I work with many versions of the same sequence so a lot of clips show up as used even though they're not in my current sequence, but because they're in a previous versions of the sequence, and I'd like to change that if possible?
My presets folder are just a mess, when I edit a video I add at least one preset to my list. Then I wondered if creating temporary presets that only are available in the project I'm editing in would solve my problem. And the answer was a little more complex than that. Temporary presets can be stored together with the project file, meaning if I get to send the project to another editor to finish my edits they can access the presets created for that project only. And about solving my problem, temporary presets would make the editing of a singular video easier! Since I will not have to save and delete manually the unique presets i've created and work with a more clear presets tab
I wish it will be
This is a feature I miss from Avid. Is there a way to avoid clicking on the timecode display first when entering a source TC number? In Avid, if you start typing on the num pad, it automatically enters those numbers and jumps to that TC. Thanks
Optimize MXF peak file generation to look at only the audio portion of the file. This is a bug / feature request. Steps 1. Import MXF wrapped video file (ideally something big like 4444 prores or XAVC-I 4K)2. Audio peak file generation occurs 3. Notice that the peak file generation is pretty slow compared to how long an audio only track should be4. disk activity kept very high while Premiere Reads entire file, video, and audio to make an audio waveform. Result: MXF Waveform generation takes a really, really long time on high resolution media, when Premiere should be loking at the audio of the MXF file. Expected Result: When footage of similar file size and resolution is in a quicktime wrapper, peak file generation happens at a 3-4x pace. Request:Optimize MXF peak file generation. If for some reason you have to delete your entire media cache, which happens often with troubleshooting performance, Premeire can take an e
And/or a little icon to the left of the automate to sequence one.
To remove a tool that editors rely on daily is a HUGE mistake. Who else agrees that Adobe Premiere Pro should bring back the Change to Color effect?
After Effects allows you to use the Collect only Selected Comps. Why can't this be a feature on Premiere Pro? It would simplify breaking down projects should we need to share or back them up.
Hello,I encountered a problem with importing presets to transcribe module. Most of the time I'm using custom captions with my own custom settings (font type, font size, text position etc...) due to missing language support in transcribe module.I had finally a chance to use transcribe module but there is a problem because transcribe module can't generate captions with my own caption settings. As a workaround there is an option to generate captions from transcribe, select them all and then change all their settings manually, item per item. To be honest it's not very pleasant experience.I can imagine to work only with transcript module and have my preset there but that's not possbile for me. As I said the transcribe module does not have a support for a language I need so I need to swap between transcribe and custom captions. So the idea is to been able to export caption settings and import them straightly to the transcribe module as custom preset. Then the transcribe module will generate ca
Let's say you have a second of darkness between clips... it would help to be able to right click and fill it with a black video clip without having to create a new black video in the project panel. Same with audio. Even better, if you could tag it with text options, like "footage missing" or "insert animation," etc.
Hello! How do I disable the playhead from following playback in the timeline? On playback, the playhead follows the current frame. This will shift the view in my timeline. If I am trying to look at something the playhead will shift the view over along with the playback thus losing my place on the playlist. In FL Studio, this is feature is disabled by default in but may be enabled for its purpose. Is there a way to disable playhead from following playback in timeline? Since I began using Premiere a few months ago I have never had an easy time locating helpful information. It's horrible but it's not only Adobe. Most software systems nowadays have minimal support systems in place. I tried searching for something in Adobe's User Guide but found nothing. I had to watch a few videos by non-partisan third-party sources to find the information I needed - an unnecessary workaround. My question here is simple and should have an obvious answer - How do I disable that t
