The feature is very useful to actaully edit with the keyboard. Adobe just thinks we use it only export a clip from the timeline but I use it all the time to select a piece of clip that I just cut, and hit batch delete from the keyboard and move one. No mouse at all, which is what gives speed to my editing workflow. Now, when you mark a clip it does it changing the in and out of the timeline, which is unprofessional if you had already selected one. And another annoying thing is that if you had a clip already selected (with the mouse) when I hit detele it delets that and not the clip I hav supposodly marked. This was a feature that we wre able to do in good old Final Cut 7, ¿remember? So I know it's possible. A keyboard stroke, and you have your clip selected, delete and move on.
Premiere Pro should have options to fix scaling options for 3rd Party plugins in future updates, this is a big issue among many users in the Adobe forums. When opening 3rd party plugins they are often shrinked in the window and unusable, it is rediculous and time consuming trying to troubleshoot, often having to scale the computer display or forcing scaling in the application sacrificng quality and creating bugs in the app. Really impedes workflow and very unprofessional to have as an issue. Please add this to your next update!
I'm trying to edit a video and put in captions, but it'd be nice if Premiere Pro could auto-generate captions from a script I have for the video. Instead, the only feature to generate captions is to auto-generate captions from the audio of the video, which takes much longer and is less accurate than if I wrote a script myself.I found a sort of workaround by following this tutorial, but it doesn't include a way for you to indicate when you'd like the captions to split from one caption's appearance to another. It'd be nice if, whenever there was a line break in the text, a new caption was started. Sometimes, you want one caption to end at the end of one sentence, but it can get tedious to edit the text and timing several times when Premiere Pro automatically cuts off a caption because it's hit a character limit.
Sometimes, I work with multiple cameras, which requires me to handle multiple takes from the same camera. When creating a multicam sequence, Premiere treats every take as a different camera angle, even though the different takes are from the same camera. This results in multiple camera and audio tracks in the timeline, even though the takes are from continuous shooting with one camera. This creates a headache in the multicam sequence because each take is divided into separate blocks in the multicam view while editing on the timeline. One workaround is to open the multicam sequence in Timeline view, where all the cameras and audio tracks are visible. From there, I manually drag the multiple takes onto the appropriate track that corresponds to the correct camera. Afterward, I return to the multicam sequence and edit, as correcting the issue in the timeline reflects those changes in the multicam sequence. However, this can become time-consuming, especially when dealing with mult
Folks-Am I the only filmmaker and editor alarmed by this? I guess I'm late to this party. The development seems almost criminally shortsighted and should be reversed. It's simply this. Yes, we're all digital creatures now, but many of us have shelves, boxes, libraries with scads of DV and DVCAM original footage stored going back into the mid 90's, and often we acquire new tools to repair and enhance early digital content for future purposes. I often export a ProRes master of legacy tape and ingest it into Topaz Labs Video AI to delinterlace and enhance a transferred clip's image quality to HD standards-- sometimes 4K. It never ceases to amaze me how we can turn the clock back and retrieve great clips, great shows, to becme presentable in modern formats. An example: When needed, I can connect to Premiere Pro V 14.0, invoke Capture, shuttle my Sony DSR-45 deck to select from a DVCAM tape. I log clip names, set timecode, and other fundamental aspects as I go. The project bin
It is high time that we had this feature where we could assign keyboard shortcuts to specific effects and custom presets. It is a feature in other editing software, but PP doesn't. This feature is now a must-have with the advent of Logitech's MX creative Console. Also, it is a huge time saver! PLEASE include this in the earliest update
The Creative Cloud suite really, REALLY needs to incorporate the Academy Color Encoding System, commonly known as ACES. ********, what an excellent way to manage color!
Having to do re-versions is becoming more and more common (social media reosloution, resoloution and colour space for TV deliveries), it would be great if we could group timelines that appear along the tabs across where we keep sequences. So for example having a timeline panel saying, HD, 4K, HDR, and then click into that and then be able to select the correct timeline. Thanks
It would be extremely useful to be able to map the extended keyboard 1 to 9 keys to relate to the 3x3, 9 camera layout in the multicam view rather than relating to specific camera angles. That way when selecting a different page of cameras in the 3x3 view the keys would always relate to the cameras / positions you see in the GUI rather than just cutting to cameras 1 - 9 regardless.
Does Premier Pro have plans to upscale and enhance video like Topaz Video AI?
I would love to see Premiere Pro for the iPad. Considering my iPad Pro M4 is more powerful than my wife's MacBook Air, I don't see a good reason not to port it over.
Afaik, it's still not possible to apply time remapping for the whole clip so that both video and audio parts will be changed simultaneously without making the audio out of sync. It has long been a feature request, I saw the post dated as far as 2009, asking for this to be implemented and the numerous posts after that with the same request, but it seems that all the requests of users were to no avail. So, my question is, why hasn't it still been implemented, if it's so in demand and would be really useful for users? Adobe never intends to listen to users and actually do that? And why to have this feature request thing at all, if the ideas posted there are never actually being implemented in practice?
The Properties Panel does not display decimal values like the Effect Controls Panel does. It rounds them up or down. If you type a decimal value it will correctly change and save the value, but not display it precisely. If I type 0.5 in rotation I expect it to show 0.5 and not 1. This behaviour makes me feel like it's not saving the correct values on manual input. To double check the number, I return to the Effect Controls to see if it's using the correct value. I'm spot-checking conformed media between different sequences, and I can't rely on the Properties Panel if it's not accurate. Using Premiere Pro 2025.1.0 on macOS 14.7.1 with M1.
P: finding cuts would be hassle compared to older versions of pr pro. is there a way to fix this. please try to bring back the old ui back it was better than this
I would love to be able to cycle between the most recently opened sequences in the timeline panel, using a keyboard shortcut. I understand there is shift-3, but that just cycles one way, and not in the most recently used order. Thanks for your consideration! Matt
Premiere 24.6.1 (experiencing issues with 25 so staying in 24 for now)MacBook Pro 14 inch 2021 M1 MaxVentura 13.7 I am working on a scripted show with multicam sequences. Inside the sequences are 2 cameras and 6 tracks of audio. Sometimes, there are multiple takes of a scene within each multicam sequences. It would be great to sub out each of these takes into a multicam group that doesn't turn into a sequence, so that when the new subbed out multicam is double clicked, it loads in the source monitor rather than a program sequence. Right clicking and loading into the source monitor is not ideal (and I dont think even works). I know Avid had a sub-group shortcut that you set an in-out within a multicam group and you could make sub-groups. Is this possible in Premiere? It would help me find lines within each take easier than scrubbing through the three takes in one multicam sequence.
Hi, I would like to request the following feature! The ability to select multiple audio clips and adjust all their volume levels, panning configurations to specific numbers at the same time, without making any adjustments to the actual track itself. *This would be more convenient that copying and pasting audio attributes. Thank you
In the "Locate file" panel, when linking media, is it possible to justify the "Last Path:" and "Path:" paths on the right side of the window rather than on the left? This would make it easier to compare and select from similarly named files the directory.
Hi, I would like to reques the following feature. The ability to lock clips to their corresponding tracks without losing any editing capabilities. For example, after dragging clips to your timeline, once you enable this feature, all clips are locked to their corresponding tracks however, you still have all the editing capabilities as normal, so only you can't accidently move clips from one track to a different track by accident. Meaning, you can edit your timeline as usually, only all the audio tracks on track 01 can't be moved to track 02 or track 03 by accident, they can only be moved to other spots on track 01. And all other editing features are still available. Thank you
Hi, I would like to request the following feature! The ability to use the Track Select Forward Tool to move both clips AND markers, located up on the timeline, together at the sametime.
I have been using Premiere for years, and I'm suprsied that this is still an issue in 2024. When I go to import media into a newly created project, the default location from which to import media is the folder of the last project I worked on before this project. And when I go to export a timeline from my new project, the default export location is the folder of the last project I worked on. This is nuts! Why can't the import and export folder locations for my project be the folder that I've created for my new project by default?
I'm not here to advertising other products, but I really think PR should adopt some of the text2speech features. There are advanced Microsoft Text2Speech, and many other open source solutions. Apart from text2speech, there are many other AI-based video editing features back in those Tiktok videos. Maybe Premier Pro is too traditional?
I want to be able to select all my media, import it into a new project, and have every single piece of it sync on the timeline (where possible). Most of my projects are like 2-5 minutes. I don't want to deal with multi cam setups or other more elegant solutions - quick and dirty is the order of the day. I'd like there to be an option to choose between having each file sync to a different track and having them sync to already used tracks if there is room and it won't overwrite other media. If I'm importing 70 video files for instance, I don't want to deal with 70 video tracks - that would be an insane timeline to navigate. Where an audio sync can't be made, I'd like it to fall back to timestamps and have it placed on the timeline where it should be according to the timestamp, and highlighted to indicate an imperfect match. This setup would save me hours. I'm sure it's not the most efficient, at least in theory, but it's how I've been doing it for more than 20 ye
Click the export confirmation window bottom right to reveal export in finder please 🙂
I have been able to use some of the burn in features to greatly reduce / automate some of my workload. It would be extremely helpful if SEQUENCE NAME was an option for the Meta Data Burn In. It would save me having to enter the same info several times, as I format the sequence name a particular way that looks good as a file name and would also be useful on screen. Thanks!
