Feature Requests

There has long been a "refresh growing file" setting in the Preferences->Media section but I have never understood what it does. I think it had something to do with streaming or broadcasting workflows.  Could we extend that functionality to images sequences as well. Or give us a way to "update an image sequence" when more files have been added to the end of it. Currently I have to either unlink and relink the media file, or reimport it, or use the replace media command. Would be nice to have a function in premiere where it can just refresh and look for new frames. Usually just trying to preview a render in progress from C4D or Blender or something, but there is no way to refresh footage like their is in AE.

Hi Adobe Team,One feature I really appreciate in Avid Media Composer is the ability to open clips or sequences in additional pop-up source monitors (Option/Alt + double-click). This allows you to have multiple floating viewers open at the same time without replacing the main Source monitor.It’s extremely useful during tasks like:- conforming- comparing different takes or versions- checking reference clips- navigating to specific timecodes without losing what’s already loaded In Premiere, opening a clip typically replaces whatever is currently in the Source monitor, which makes this kind of workflow harder.It would be great if Premiere allowed opening clips or sequences in additional floating Source monitors, similar to Avid’s pop-up monitors. Cheers

Short version:Let me add notes to my clips on the timeline.  Long version: There should be a new mode for the timeline view: Miniature for video start + Notes  Miniature for video start and end Miniature for video start Continous Video MiniatureIn this new mode, make it so that I can double-click the free space of a clip to add notes, like so:  Benefits: You can scan your timeline for information and clips without playback. Would be much faster than adding markers with text Info at your fingertips (vs. text-based editing via the Text-Panel) Freedom to include information other than transcription of the spoken text Optional AI-mode to write descriptive keywords down for you Real-espace in the timeline used well Other workflows and modes stay as they were  Thanks for considering. 

Premiere Pro often auto-tags audio clips as “Dialogue,” “Music,” etc. when importing or editing. When it does this, it silently applies settings in the Essential Sound panel—like Enhance Speech, Loudness Auto-Match, Repair Noise, etc.—without telling the user.This is a problem because:It changes the sound of the audio without consentIt can break carefully mixed clips or cause confusion during editingThere is no clear way to disable or configure this auto-tagging behavior“Remove Attributes” doesn’t clear these hidden settings eitherFeature request:Please give users the ability to:Turn off auto-tagging of audio clips entirelyCustomize what (if anything) gets enabled when a clip is taggedPrevent auto-enabled features like “Enhance Speech” or “Reduce Noise” from being applied without user actionThis would make Premiere’s behavior more transparent and give editors full control over their audio workflow.Thanks!

I have been an Adobe Premiere User since a past few years. I often come across multiple takes/ multiple cameras and multiple audio layers while starting a project. The current sync feature is basically useless in such scenarios It has to be synced before editing begins. I have used Pluraleyes for most of my years and now it has stopped support and running on Mac os SonomaA basic feature like sync should be inbuilt to Premiere. Why should any editor pay separately to sync a video and audio?Sync is a basic necessity for editors. I hope Adobe prioritizes this.

I'd like to have the name of the sequence burned in with my timecode/metadata burn in, as well as the ability to add freeform text as one of the Lines, without having to use separate instances of a Text clips in order to burn in this metadata.  

It’s 2026 and I can’t believe a something so simple like dashed lines don’t exist!! 

Tem sido muito desconfortante a nova atualização do Premiere, que separou a camada de vídeo da camada de áudio. Para arrastar o vídeo, eu preciso, agora, selecionar a camada de vídeo e áudio juntos, e isso tem acabado com as minhas edições, que contém muitas camadas, e quando eu percebo que as camadas estão deslocadas, já é tarde demais. Quando se coloca o vídeo na timeline com o seu áudio original, precisa estar vinculados. O botão “desvincular” não faz mais o menor sentido, uma vez que agora a mídia já vai para a timeline com o vídeo e áudio desvinculados. Eu poderia colocar na categoria de “problema técnico”, mas acredito que isso seja intencional da nova versão. Odiei. 

If I want to create motion blur for animations inside Premiere, I need to use the transform effect to add shutter angle. I'm sure that shutter angle could be added to the motion settings that are there by default on every clip. This would make the workflow a little bit faster. 

Hi ! I'm editing videos on a daily basis for social networks and of course, it needs captions.As it is often humorous and contains puns, the auto transcribe is making up words and I'm losing quite a lot of time correcting the captions created. Youtube has a really good feature where you paste plain text and it is auto-syncing it to the video. It would be great to have something similar. The corrected transcript feature is not powerful enough. Thanks !

When you hover over a clip in the timeline, that clip's information appears.However, when you switch from Premiere to another app, such as Photoshop, the information remains on the screen.→ This seems to have been an issue for some time, but it hasn't been fixed even now in version 26.0.1.Creative Cloud app integration is a major advantage of Adobe apps. This issue, which significantly undermines this advantage, needs to be resolved. タイムライン上のクリップにマウスオーバーした時、そのクリップの情報が表示される。しかし、PremiereからPhotoshopなど別のアプリに切り替えた時、その情報表示が画面上消えないままのこってしまう。→以前からある症状のようだが、ver26.0.1の今でも改善されていない Creative Cloudアプリの連携は、Adobeアプリの大きな優位性だ。この優位性を大きく損なうこの問題を解決すべきだ。

I'm sure I would be sick to my stomach if I could somehow know how much time I've wasted resetting the program monitor's zoom to "fit" after I accidently adjusted it. Because for some reason we decided that scrolling over the monitor just HAD to zoom in.   No one asked for this feature. It doesn't improve my efficiency. It just makes me mad. PLEASE just let me disable it or lock the zoom on my program monitor. Also probably fire whoever made this decision to begin with.    Sorry for the aggressive post. I'm at my wit's end with this 😞 

Hi Adobe Team, I’d like to suggest an improvement to the Undo behavior in Premiere.When performing Ripple Trim to Playhead Previous (the Top and Tail functions), the CTI moves to a new position after the action. When I then hit Undo, the edit itself is correctly undone however, the CTI does not return to its previous position. It remains at the position it moved to after the ripple trim downstream.I understand that with Ripple Trim to Playhead Next (Tail), the nature of the ripple operation pushes the timeline downstream, so the CTI stays in place.However, this logic doesn’t really apply in the same way to Ripple Trim to Playhead Previous (Top). When undoing that action, it would be much more intuitive for the CTI to return to its original position before the trim.In practice, this is quite frustrating because I have to manually navigate back to the exact same spot each time before retrying the edit. When working quickly, this noticeably slows things down.In other NLEs like Resolve and

Sometimes you want to edit a short video for Instagram or YouTube, an automatic editing feature with templates based on what you're going to edit would be very welcome. Templates like sports, nature, fashion, corporate, birthday, holidays would be a very welcome feature. Sometimes you just want to do a quick edit, and an automatic editing feature selecting the template would help a lot.

Na correria do dia a dia, na hora de exportar um video, que está com tudo pronto, escolho as configurações de vídeo e renderizo. Mas depois percebo que o vídeo exportou sem a lengenda. Isso é extremamente irritante, sobretudo se o vídeo é grande e demora para ser renderizado. Isso tudo, porque a legenda não está ativa na aba de exportação. Mas não faz o menor sentido ela estar desativada, uma vez que a legenda foi criada no projeto e está ativa na timeline. É contra intuitivo. Acho que poderia estar desativada na aba de exportação apenas se na timeline a legenda está desativada ou inexistente, caso o contrário, everia estar por padrão ATIVADO. Eu já cheguei a fazer uma postagem e só perceber depois que estava sem legenda.

Reverse Match Frame should work in a production the EXACT SAME WAY that it works in a regular project. I should be able to Match Frame from a sequence in Project A, and Reverse Match Frame to that same footage in a sequence in Project B. I legitimately don’t understand what the technical limitation is here. Both sequences are linking to the same footage from the same media project within the production. I see that there are some very old requests for this feature, so I apologize for being redundant. But that just highlights how insane it is that it doesn’t exist.

What I really don’t understand is why Align tools are not in the text group and are at the bottom of the Properties page in the Align and Transform, and in the Effect controls panel Align is absent at all. Don’t get me wrong, I totally understand that Align in the Align and Transform group is for aligning all layers, but truly, how often do you align other layers and how often - text layers?I suggest that the Align tools should be added to the Text properties both in the Properties and Effect Controls tabs somewhere here:This way you won’t have to collapse the text panels or scroll all the way down to the Align and Transform.

Hello,I would like to report a workflow issue introduced in Premiere Pro 2026 regarding timeline thumbnails.In Premiere Pro 2025, when stretching or trimming a clip on the timeline (especially long-form footage), the video thumbnails remained visually stable. Even when thumbnail display was enabled across the clip, they did not dynamically refresh or “scroll” during trimming.In Premiere Pro 2026, when I stretch a clip on the timeline to quickly locate a moment within a long recording, the thumbnails now dynamically refresh and scroll in real time. This creates constant visual movement inside the timeline itself.For long-form editing (40+ minute timelines), this behavior is:• Very visually distracting• Disorienting while trimming• Uncomfortable for precision editing• Slightly heavier on performance during rapid scrubbingI only want to see image updates in the Program Monitor — not continuously inside the timeline thumbnails.Is there currently a way to disable dynamic thumbnail refresh a
