I’d like to propose a small but impactful change for the Premiere Pro sequence preset folders, specifically the Broadcast folder. As the first folder in the list, it’s often selected first by users who may not be familiar with its specialized purpose. This preset routes each audio track to a separate channel, rather than mixing to a stereo output. For users unfamiliar with split audio or multichannel configurations, this can be confusing and lead to issues with playback and export.Since the Broadcast preset isn’t meant for general use, and many users simply need a standard stereo mix, renaming and reordering this folder could prevent these issues. A name that more clearly signals its purpose, like Multichannel Delivery, would likely work better and not appear at the top of the preset list. This change would not only help users select the right sequence for their projects but also save time and frustration, as fixing multichannel settings typically requires creating a whole new sequence.
It would be nice to have a feature to hide video and audio tracks called “Hide”. It would be much more efficient to be able to hide tracks on a track-by-track basis, as the more tracks you have, the less convenient it is to work with the timeline.and Adding the option to view only the video track (“Video Solo”), only the audio track (“Audio Solo”), or all tracks (the default) would be helpful for users who have difficulty with resolutions or monitor sizes.
Hi team! We’re currently localizing a significant amount of content into multiple languages and are exploring ways to automate parts of our workflow. While there are several useful shortcuts, adding a few additional options would be greatly beneficial. Here’s an outline of our current workflow:We start with a source file (mp4 and SRT) where the SRT is segmented by full sentences for use in audio recordings of localized content.I create a new sequence from the mp4, import the SRT, and make edits/cuts based on the SRT segments to prepare the sequence for localized audio. (I use shortcuts "Go to next caption segment" and "Add edit") (attached image_01.jpg)Because the localized audio is often different in length from the original, I then adjust each segment individually, moving and matching it to the corresponding localized audio segment. (attached image_02.jpg) This brings me to my request: Is there a possibility of a shortcut to accomplish the following? Synchronize Se
In effects and presets tab, when you make a preset in the preset properties tab, there can be a label color selector! (just like markers and clip tags)
Hi! I would have only one small request.I usually use Icon View in my muster bin. Match frame and Reveal in Project are frequently used featrures too. Now in Dark Mode this way (Match frame + Reveal in Project) selection is barely visible. It's a dark grey field on a darker grey background. Can we have a better visibility for the selected file? A lighter selection would be much better with this dark background. Thank you!
I work with images creating slideshows and it would be quicker if i could duplicate an image and drop it at the start of the marker, rather than copy, paste then drag to marker. Thanks
Synced CTI between PP & AE when using dynamically linked comps. I can't tell you how many times I have to bounce back to AE to guess at timing, when this feature would elimintae any more guesswork.
I would suggest putting the Change to Color plugin back in premiere. I went to use these features recently and noticed that they removed it in this version.
I’m reaching out regarding the “double-tap spacebar” function in Premiere Pro, which currently returns the playhead to the beginning of the timeline (or to the in-point). While I understand that the single-tap spacebar is configured as a “Play/Stop Toggle,” the double-tap feature often disrupts my workflow by unintentionally sending the playhead back to the start.Could Adobe consider removing this double-tap function or allowing users to toggle it on or off? Ideally, I would love to continue using the spacebar as a “Play/Stop Toggle” without any additional functionality, so playback simply stops and resumes from wherever I am on the timeline.Thank you for anyone considering this update as well—it would greatly improve the editing experience for those of us who need precise control over playback without unintentional jumps to the beginning.
The Track Matte effect in Premiere Pro almost never works the way we editors need it to, and it's high time this essential effect gets fixed! When creating a Track Matte, changing the Motion parameters of the clip the effect is applied to also changes the resulting matte. For example, if I zoom my clip to 120%, the clip zooms 120% but so does the matte. This makes it impossible to move a clip within a matte's 'window' without nesting. The current way to get around this is to nest the clip, apply the Track Matte effect to the nest rather than the clip itself, and then edit the clip's Motion settings/keyframes within the nest. Unfortunately this is a HORRIBLE workflow, since it forces editors to edit their clip's motion settings and keyframes out of context of the master sequence. It also involves the extra steps of nesting. After Effects handles masking the way it should work: making any changes to a clip doesn't affect the resulting matted effect. This is the way it should also wor
The Academy Color Encoding System (ACES) is widely considered to be one of the best ways to manage color in the color grading phase of post-production and is essentially an industry standard.I noticed in the 2024 update for After Effects that it now implements the OCIO color management solution for supporting the ACES color workflow. So anyone working in After Effects can now use the ACES color workflow.I would like to also see this implemented for Premiere Pro as well so that editors and colorists can now work in the ACES workflow. Even though most professional colorists aren't often using Premiere to color grade, this can still be useful for encouraging editors, content creators, freelancers, as well as independent filmmakers to be able to dive in and understand the ACES color workflow.Other editing platforms, such as DaVinci Resolve, support ACES; so I'd love to see Premiere Pro also join the party.I personally believe including ACES support for Premiere Pro will make the
The ability to conform effectively in Premiere is lacking many features found in competing NLEs especially Resolve. Features that would help us post production conform effectively include: - When checking "Automatically find other media files" this should always be limited to the exisiting folder level selected & below. Instead Premiere searches the entire network volume for the files which is completely unnecessary & can take hours.- The ability to filter naming conventions to match trimmed color graded exports. E.g. Ignore characters, character patterns, include wildcards, etc.- The ability to choose loose or tight filename matching & let the user decide later which matches are correct (see Resolve's conflict feature).- Implement an easy to do VFX shot breakouts without having to prep separate timelines E.g. Export selected shots as ProRes444 with 25fr handles using custom naming convention such as append shot number_vsn (0020_010.mov). Thanks
I find the tri-tone plugin very useful in my work. Unfortunately it's only available in After Effects. I still use it through dynamic link but would prefer to have it available in Premiere Pro.
Hello Adobe! First of all, I want to express my deep gratitude for your work. Today I started to test the beta version of Premiere pro. But even in this update there is no Uzbek language in the speech to text. We waste lots of time to manually writing every word in the process of editing. And you understand the importance of adding subtitles. There are a lot of video editors in Uzbekistan who work in Premiere pro, and by the name of all Uzbek editors, I would like to ask you add the Uzbek language in the transcription. I will eagerly await your response. Sincerely, Uzbek editor abkholov.
I only edit videos in Uzbek language. Please add a transcript in Uzbek
Does anyone know why Premiere Pro and Media Encoder will not allow me to render a 1080p video at 25fps? As far as I can tell it's a supported standard (as opposed to a format that works but not enshrined in the standard). I've done a lot of Internet searching and the consensus is, blu-ray does support 1080p at 25fps. I used to use Adobe Encore, and had no problem with creating 1080p videos at both 25fps and 30fps on the same disc. They work fine, in fact I still have the discs to prove it. I'm confused as to why I just can't create the video format I want. Regards, Stephen
I would be extremely helpful if Auto in Lumentri color could be applied to selected clips instead of just one at a time. I typically only minor tweak the auto, and it would speed up my workflow so much!
The appearance options for 2025 are great now with a return to a light mode. But the mid grey option has gotten darker. I wish we had the option again to have a slider to adjust the brightness of the UI like in much older versions.Love the new accessibility high contrast mode that affects text and labels. The padding on the panels are a but much. Takes up precious screen real estate.
A bit of embellishment, app themes, and a few new bugs, like issues with importing XML files after sound synchronization, but in reality, nothing that truly matters: Where is the video denoiser? Where is the ability to export LUTs with table sizes larger than 16? Where is proper audio synchronization? Do you think I use PluralEyes for fun? No, believe me, I don’t. I do it because the built-in synchronization functionality in Premiere Pro is just stupid. I could go on for a long time, but I hope that by version 60.0, Premiere Pro will at least have half of what DaVinci has right now. This isn’t an advertisement, it's reality, and I’m sorry that Adobe’s marketers are chasing trendy features while forgetting about the basic functionality needed for editing. Mod note: Title was added.
This was an idea someone brought up 4 years ago, but it still isn't implemented.I think this is definintely something long over due. Would love to take the option from the hamburger menu of sequence tab in the timeline panel and be able to assigned a keyboard shortcut for it.
Since version 23, an update broke our workflow a little bit. We localize a lot of videos and used the offline/relink to swap out our locales. We would have a naming convention like this: "VIDEONAME_en_US_SCENE_01" and relink with "VIDEONAME_de_DE_SCENE_01" and it would automatically relink the other similarly named files. This worked in previous versions(since at least 2020-2022), but the last year or two it stopped working like this and we need to relink each file one by one. Is there a way we can re-enable this or get a checkbox to relink similarly named files?
I've found how to fix the bug where Premiere was pasting copies to the source's original layer rather than the target layer, but why is it ignoring my layer selection for new text or shape additions? It always dumps the text/shape on the lowest available layer rather than the one I select. Ridiculous. (Version 24.6.1 running on Windows 11)
Ability to invoke the Interpret Footage dialogue from the timeline by right clicking on the clip and the option being there like in the Project window, or being able to use the keyboard shortcut I've assigned to it.Because as of now, with the shortcut assigned, I still cannot select the clip in my timeline and use the keyboard shortcut. I often need to adjust the frame rate of stock.
Subtitles is showin in lines of texte, line of few words then the next line. But the words "not the whole line", are highlighted with a colored rectangle, so it moves from a word to a word. I am looking for an easy automated way rather than spend 10H on after effects to do in 2 lines of text. The world is changing this type of tools must exist
