TOC hyperlinks for 1,000-page manual do not work or are not clickable even if I performed the following:Enabled Create hypertext links checkbox in Setup a Table of Contents window before clicking update TOC.Added the tags that should have TOC links (Head 1, Chapter Name and Number).Tried adding in the Reference Page of the TOC page: openObjectId<$relfilename>:<$ObjectType>:<$ObjectId> I also tried generating another document with 50 pages and the TOC hyperlinks do not work even if the same steps were performed. Is there anyone who could help me as TOC links should be clickable to comply with WCAG 2.0?

I have a table of 80+ pages with header row. so when i select a cell and CTRL+A or Triple click the cell, the entire table get selected including header row.  I couldn't unselect or deselect the row once it is selected.I have to manualy scroll through all the pages to select all the rows except header. Is there a way to unselect or deselect row in table after selection?

Hey gang,I've got a document that requires me to place mathematical symbols in text.  Some of these symbols don't have a Unicode component, e.g., the letter "V" with a vector arrow (→) over it. In Word, for example, you would type a letter, add the four-character Unicode and press ALT+X, or use the "Insert Symbol" dialog box.  This doesn't seem to exist in Frame.  Am I overlooking something?TL;DR: Is there a way to combine diacritical marks in Frame to replicate this, or am I stuck using the Equation Editor?Regards,-terry-FrameMaker 11Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have almost 3000 pages of sturctured Frame 10 docs that I need to convert to a new approach of using DITA.  Have anyone done this without using IXGen - merely using what Frame 10 has to offer?  IF so - any tricks you can provide?

I have previously successfully packaged various updates of FrameMaker 2019 including Update 5 and installed FrameMaker from the package. With the X64 version of Update 6 , CCP does not list the X64 version of Update 6 after choosing Add Offline Media, choosing Update 6 (after unziping the download), then clicking Extract, followed by Done. The X32 version of Update 6 is listed however. I have inserted below screen shots showing the following:CCP before the sequence mentioned previously to include Update 6. CCP showing the extract screen.CCP after the extract showing only the X32 version of Update 6.CCP showing the X64 version of Update 6 available after following the same sequence as in steps 1-3 except with the unzipped X64 Update 5 download. Update 6 is not yet available at FrameMaker for Windows - UPDATES/PROGRAMS  Maybe this is significant? TIA Jon

We have published Update 6 for FrameMaker (2019 release). In FrameMaker, go to Help  > Updates to update your version. Windows 10 systemFramemaker 2019 Release 15.0.5.838 (where I saw this first happen today)Framemaker 2019 Release Version 15.0.6.956 (checked for updates, found this one, applied, problem still occurs) Problem: The 'clone case' option in Find/Change is not working properly when the text being found is in all-caps. In the sequence of screenshots below, I did three 'find' operations for different words.Both the 'find' and 'change' values were entered in lower case.'Clone Case' was selected. I've highlighted the conversions that are wrong, or may be wrong (I'm not sure what the behaviour is supposed to be for those that I did in ransom-note-case :-)) But the first one highlighted in each case (ALLCAPS) is definitely converting incorrectly (alllower).Am I misinterpreting this, or is this a known issue, or should I register it as a bug? Thanks! Example:   

I just installed Framemaker update V15.0.5.838, now all of sudden welcome window is proper size but the Book window is so small I can't read it.First time this has happened.  I am using Windows 10 latest version and all updates.  Computer is an HP ZBook 17 G4.    Every other program is proper size ... would appreciate any help .. I simply can't read the window to work with the book.  THANKS

Hi,I'm trying to use the "Smart Paste" functionality under Framemaker 2019, to copy content from Word, Excel and Internet pages into FrameMaker DITA file, as demonstrating in the video tutorial:https://youtu.be/0c4foBG7zq4 But it doesn't work after many attempts...I always get the error message: "Smart Paste could not convert clipboard data to structured content."Please, could you help solving this problem?Are there any special configuration steps in Framemaker needed prior to use the "Smart Paste" 

Hi, When I generate a Microsoft HTML Help file (.chm) from FrameMaker 2019, the Home selection from the Options menu. Is there any way to fix this within FrameMaker 2019. I know, .chm is an ancient relic and RoboHelp is a far more effective way to generate this archaic brand of help. But I am a temporary contractor working with the tools supplied by my client—only allowed to use in-house software.Thanks

Most of our team has the option to hold the shift key and click in the file tab to save all. We also can do the same thing when we first open a book to open all files rather having to open each f the FM files individually. We have a new hire that does not have this option. I am sure there is an option in the preferences somewhere or something. Can someone please let me know how to turn this on for him? It can get really frustrating. Especially when the book has A LOT of files. Thanks!

Hallo Ein Kollege hat einen neuen Laptop mit Windows 10 bekommen. Zum üben habe ich dort eine alte Version von FrameMaker (7.2) installiert. Ging auch recht gut. Nun haben wir für den Kollegen eine neue FrameMaker Version gekauft, die auch super läuft, leider braucht der Kollege auch den Distiller und der wird sang- und klanglos nicht mit installiert. Ich habe das alte FrameMaker inklusive des alten Distillers vollständig deinstalliert und auch schon mal den CCleaner drüber laufen lassen. Geht leider nicht. Auf den exakt gleichen Rechnern, wo vorher nur kein FM7 installiert war, geht es ohne Probleme. Vermutlich hat FM7 etwas in der Registry zurückgelassen, aber ich konnte nicht ergooglen, was. Hier hin ging meine beste Spur: http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/3099e.htm leider gibt es die Seite nicht mehr Hat jemand eine Idee wie ich den neuen Distiller installieren kann?Vielen lieben Dank!

After applying a newly built Expression, the tagged cross-references are not appearing on the document. Am I missing a step?

HiDuring this week I have faced a strange problem. When I save my ditamap as book with fm components some of the tables don't show the title. Table and number is shown but after that there is an empty row. I have 20 tables in the document at the moment. Yesterday I tried moving the tables from one topic to another and then it was working. But now I noticed that the problem is now in another place. Tables 7...10, 18 and 19 are missing the titles.And the most strange thing is that I have not done anything to the topics including those tables missing the titles now.Has anyone had the same problem?

We've never had any problems with opening FM7 files in any previsous FM version. Now FM19 crashes as soon as we open files form a customer who's still working with very old FM file formats.We cannot scroll to the next page. FM freezes after a few sconds. The customer itself can migrate its files in its environment without any problems?What's wrong with our installation? Is there any setting we can change so this doesn't happen any more.Regards Uwe 

Dear all,FM is 15.0.6.956; The following fonts are listed in WindowssIn FM File > Print the printer is set to Adobe PDF (with another setting even the Distiller route fails). "Rely on System Fonts only" is unchecked.When creating a PDF via Distiller route, then also the bold version is OK. Only creation via PDFL (Publish panel, online route) I creates this effect: The table heading (top area in the screen shot) uses this bold variant - and the problem started today - a PDF created yesterday does not show this effect...I have re-installed the fonts two times without success.→ Is there some cache involved which I could delete? Renaming   %appdata%..._.cache_fonts   has no effect.→ Any ideas are welcome!

I'm using FM19, fully patched even if I am still stuck with Windows 7.0 + corporate upgrades.I have a book with eight chapters.I update the master pages (new footer layout) in one chapter and save the changes.I select all the other chapters in the book and run File > Import formats with Paragraph formats, Character formats and Page layouts selected plus the options to remove Manual page breaks and Other overrides …… and nothing happens! same behaviour if I try to upgrade just one chapter file. (and no, I haven't locked them by mistake)Any suggestions on what's happening and/or on how to get the expected update will be appreciated!

Hi! I publish Responsive html5 from ditamaps (without robohelp, just FM's own publishing tool). Now, these ditamaps include partly the exact same xml files. However, when a same xml file with the same images come out fine from one ditamap, the images don't appear when publishing the exact same xml file with another ditamap. The place for the image is just empty with a broken image/file path icon. I assume there is something wrong with the ditamaps, since the xml files publish fine when published as individual files. Anybody have any clues what might be the issue? Thanks.
