Internal Error: 10024, 5912162, 9090514, 10030315 が原因で FM10 のファイルが開きません。解決方法を教えてください。

FYI.With both FM 11 & 12 saving a Structured Application via the Structured Application Designer leaves the structapps.fm file (%appdata%\Adobe\FrameMaker\[11|12]) with invalid structure, if the element RulesSearchPaths is present.  I have reported this to Adobe as bug #3943816.The scenario is most probably unlikely as most of the time an application would use the default search paths for rules.  I have chosen to use the element due to the previously reported entity mapping errors (see Incorrect entity mapping in FrameMaker 11 and 12 - A FYI!). I have placed screen snaps of the before and after to illustrate the problem.The scenario is the same for applications in the Global Application Definitions, i.e adding a RulesSearchPaths will cause the global structapps.fm file to have invalid structure if the Structured Application Designer is used to Save the application.An important note is that is not necessary to make changes to the structured application definitions in ether

Why doesn't Framemaker trial sw install?

Framemaker10において、「PDF形式で保存」にてPDFを作成した場合は問題なくPDFが作成できるのですが、印刷でAdobe PDFからPDFを作成すると画像データがないPDFが作成されてしまいます。OSはWindows 7 (64bit)です。特定のPCからの問題のようですが、原因はどこにあるのでしょうか。

I have an unstructured FM (12) book with 14 chapters and 5 appendices. For the first 100 pages, the running footer looks fine: 100 Chapter 8, but from Chapter 9 and onwards, it looks like this: 102Chapter 9. In both cases, the Running H/F 2 says<$paranum[Chapter.number, Appendix.number]>.Any ideas?

For some reason, some of my book files do not seem to have any "knowledge" of the IndexIX paragraph tag, which I need for creating PDF files from a FM book (so it will go in the bookmarks list), and also for when I generate a TOC, because I want to include the index chapter in the TOC.If I start with a book file that doesn't have the IndexIX tag in either of the bookmark lists (include or don't include tag), I have no idea how to add it. I can't find anything about that in the help files and I spent a lot of time looking.I found a workaround, which is to copy a book file from some other book that shows the IndexIX tag in the include or don't-include list. I delete all the FM files from the book file, and then I add the files from the current book I'm working on. This book file does reference the IndexIX tag. I rename the book file for the current book title, and I'm set.However, even that workaround isn't working today. The IndexIX tag is there at first (because it was in the book file

When saving a PDF from a FrameMaker book, is it possible to set document filenames as bookmarks in the PDF? Currently when I have a Framemaker book that I want to save as a PDF, I choose Save Book As and then choose PDF for the file format. A dialog box comes up in which I can choose the Bookmarks tab and choose which tagged content I want to be made into bookmarks in the PDF file. What if I would rather have the filename of a document rather than the chapter title be a bookmark in the PDF? Is that possible? Where would I choose that option? Thanks!

  I have two Win 7, 64 bit machines (one desktop and one laptop) both with Framemaker 10 installed, all patched and current. I need to deactivate the instance of FM 10 on the laptop so that I can install and activate it on a second laptop. When I open the instance of FM 10 on the desktop, the Deactivate option is available from the Help menu. Great, but I do not want to deactivate this instance. When I open the instance of FM 10 on the laptop, the Deactivate option is grayed-out and no matter what I do, I cannot get to become enabled. I have closed and reopened FM multiple times, I have opened and closed existing FM documents, I have created and saved new FM documents, but no joy.     I can't deactivate the FM instance on my desktop . . .it has to be the one on the laptop. 

Hi allIs it possible to produce a script that creates a table from the currently selected text?I can find plenty of discussion about going the other way (ie converting a table to text) but none about converting a text selection to a table. I've looked everywhere I can think of, including the Adobe FM Scripting Guide, but no joy, so I'm beginning to doubt it's even possible.Apologies if the scarcity of info is because it's so laughably simple that everyone else has worked it out -- I'm still at the stage where I'm quite surprised to be able to create a table at all (using NewTable), never mind anything more sophisticated!Any clues will be extremely gratefully received.Many thanks

I've got a simple 3-column newsletter layout where some information repeats from one month to the next. But the repeated pages are less important in the subsequent months, so I'd like to deemphasize them. Is it possible in Frame 11 (Windows 7) to simply move these pages to the back once a layout is complete? This is something that even Pagemaker could do, way back when, but I can't find an easy way to do it with this program. Am I missing something? Thanks for any tips you can give,Gail

HiMy colleague and I use FrameMaker 8 but I'm considering whether it would be a good idea to upgrade to FrameMaker 12. So today I installed a trail version of FrameMaker 12.Before opening a book file in FM12, I copied it to another folder so I wouldn't mess up anything. Unfortunately, I forgot to copy the chapter files so I opened most of them from FM12. As soon as I found out about it, I copied them to the new folder, but too late.Now I'm not able to open the original files from FM8 (and even worse, neither can my colleague). I read somewhere else, that I should save the book file in the .MIF format (I tried both 12 and 7.0) and then open it from FM8. I tried that, but I still cannot open the chapter files.I get an error message saying: "Althoug xxx.fm appears to be a FrameMaker document, it can't be opened with this release of the product".I didn't make any changes to the chapter files when I looked at them in FM 12.What should I do? Hi there,I have Adobe technical suite 3 currently installed on my PC, the IT guys at my company installed it.My problem is that my pc is up for replacement and the IT guys that installed the Adobe technical suite have moved on and no one has the license numbers. I have FM9 and am using it in the unstructured mode. For my manuals that mix two papers sizes I must Print Book instead of Print PDF. When I do this my colored lines and arrows and colored text for hyperlinks turn black in the PDF. Any suggestions how to fix this? Thanks.Jon

This task comprises several steps:Collect temporary citations (such as [Daube, 1969, #123] ) from text, footnotes and tables into an array. This part already works fine (I had to postpone further development for a year now...).Then I write this data to a new document (which is created from the template) - with your help this came to work today.This file then is saved as rtf to be worked off by the bibliographic application EndNote (or Citavi in another case) to resolve the temporary citations into formatted citations and the bibliography.After that the modified rtf is opened as an FM docment. The information from this is used to replace the  temp. citations in the user-document/book by the formatted citations.The user then copies the bibliography (as text only) into his appropriate chapter/section and formats it to his liking.For step 3 I have now researched a lot and found this:ap

I just took training in Adobe FrameMaker 12 and now I'm on my own machine and the interface is slightly different. For the most part this isn't a huge deal, but there's one simple feature that the classroom version had that I can't seem to enable on my desktop. In the classroom version, whenever I'd click on text, it would bold the active Paragraph Tag in the Paragraph Catalog. For instance, if I clicked on text tagged Body, the word Body would be bold in the Paragraph Catalog. If I have the Paragraph Designer up, I can see the tag changing over there, but not in the Catalog. Is there a setting somewhere for this to happen? I've looked through a bunch of options and view menus, but I'm not seeing anything that looks like the right setting. Thanks.

I am having an issue getting FrameMaker installed and working. When I install it, it says it failed to install, but the application is still on my computer. When I try to open it, it crashes as soon as the text FMPopUpMenu is on the launcher. Are there any logs to look at that will indicate what's going wrong here? This is a work computer and our IT guys have been baffled so far. I have a feeling that it's a permissions issue, but even if I launch the program as an administrator, it doesn't work.

Hi,I am using FM 10 in windows OS.For heading 1 in my document contains superscript and TOC also generated properly, but in the PDF cross-reference is not working.I inserted superscript element in the heading 1, apart from this I also tried to insert the superscript from the catalog still i am facing some problem with superscript and subscript in TOC.There are some posts related to the same problem but I could not find exact solution for the problem.Few of them provided solution w.r.t Unix system.If any one can provide me solution for the same it will be great!Thanks in advance Regards,Kishore

I am making a template and have a small issue I can't find the answer for.I have made a Paragraph tag called "Figure". It will start at 1 and go on as needed. However there are instances where we do a Figure 1 (Sheet 1 of 3), Figure 1 (Sheet 2), Figure 1 (Sheet 3). What building blocks do I use to automatically add the "Sheet number" and total number of sheets in the first occurrence Figure 1 (Sheet 1 of 3) then just Sheet X in the following figure sheets Figure 1 (Sheet 2), Figure 1 (Sheet 3).

I am trying to make a cross-reference that takes into account multiple levels of a step and includes those levels in the reference. In the example below I want to add a cross reference to 2. (b). to cross-reference step 1. (a). (3).  But I want the reference to include all of the levels in the reference. So it would say See Step 1. (a). (3). Hi, I hope you can help me, because I've run out of ideas... Trying to install the FM12 package. I have Office 365 and I know only the 2003 and 2010 are supported, but I don't need the plugin, I'd only use it for creating FM11-compatible .fm and .xml outputs.So, I open the downloaded file, the installer extracts and starts then it says that a dll is missing, and gives advices on how to proceed: restart, close all start-up programs and every other programs, then start the installer again. Done it, twice already...does not work, and  on both occasions I encountered the same error. All ideas are welcome...!
