Fresco

Recently switched from Procreate due to a hardware change and purchased full Adobe suite. I'm finding that even though Fresco is the closest competitor to Procreate, it seems to be lacking noticeably. One of my few nuances is the inability to create a uniform, clean blur or gradient via layer effects or something similar. Any workaround for this that doesn't include constantly exporting to multiple programs?    [Renamed by Mod]

I started using Fresco on my PC about two weeks ago for a project. At first, everything was working well, and I made a lot of progress using several downloaded brush packs from the Discover Brushes section, including the Mega Pack and Gouache set.Yesterday, when I opened the app to continue working, I realized that my downloaded brush packs had disappeared from my library. That was inconvenient, but I assumed I could simply download them again. Unfortunately, that has not worked. I spent hours trying to redownload them, and even left the packs “downloading” overnight, but nothing actually downloaded. On the Discover Brushes page, the packs just continuously say “adding in progress” with no change. And if you click done, thinking they’re downloading in the background, when you click back to the discover section to check, they just give you the option to “add” them again. I have tried everything I can think of: restarting my computer, restarting Fresco, restarting Creative Cloud, and uni

Hi all. So all problems people are having here in terms of "performance" (which is only lag, not performace in the end) is a common problem with Photoshop as well and Windows Ink and Wacom tablets. With Photoshop you can just fix it with simple txt file placed into Photoshop folder that force system to think Ink is on but you than turn it off in Wacom Settings resulting in having no lags and all pressure sensitivity settings working in Photoshop. But here in Fresco is different case becuase I guess trick with txt file doesnt work (anyone knows where Fresco is installed on PC? I honestly can't find it since it's installed somewhere by Creative Cloud...), so Fresco is unusable on PC. Lags with Windows Ink are too big and without it it loses all pen features. Adobe try to make some fix please. Left side lines with Windows Ink on, lag before start making straight lines, on right without Windows Ink. Hi all, I feel like I'm going insane.I've just started trying to learn this new program, and I'm watching the adobe videos on the basics, but I can't seem to figure out where these 'Motion Presets' that are mentioned are. I've got the most recent Desktop Version, but when I click on the Path tool for motion, I don't get the top  bar of presets I see in the tutorial videos. Is there something I have turned off somewhere I can't find?  Thanks in advance. Screenshot attached.

Hello! I am running Adobe Fresco on an ASUS ProArt PX13 laptop (and drawing with an ASUS SA203H pen), and I have unfortunately been experiencing crashes very frequently 😞 I would estimate that the crashes occur every 5 to 10 minutes while using the software, and they become gradually more common as I relaunch the software multiple times in one sitting. I have not been able to find a consistent action that preceeds the crashes, but I think I have noticed it more frequently while zooming/rotating the canvas.  Fortunately, I typically only lose a few brush strokes worth of progress, as the canvas auto-saves, but this is still proving to be a huge hinderance to my work.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Fresco, reverting to an older version of Fresco, updating my graphics drivers, running my laptop on different performance modes, and restarting my laptop, but none of these seem to have any effect on the issue. This issue has undergone rigorous environmental troubleshooting (including a clean official OS, latest hardware drivers, and the latest version of Fresco), ruling out common causes such as third-party software conflicts, system corruption, or configuration errors.Conclusion: After analyzing the crash dump files (.dmp), I believe this problem is caused by a bug in the WinUI library that Fresco depends on. Are there any Fresco users here who use Windows? Just yes or no will do. I would like to find out if I am the only one with a stroke lag issue with Huion tablet input, but to start with, knowing if there are any Windows users might help me understand why Adobe doesn’t seem to be actively supporting us.

On Windows 11 I’m getting severe input lag in Adobe Fresco: delay before strokes appear When stroke starts to appear there is a straight line from the initial pen position on the tablet to the new stroke short strokes often don’t start fast gestures lag more than slow ones This affects all brushes, including vector brushes.Same hardware works normally in Krita and Photoshop.Setup: Windows 11 Huion tablet Windows Ink enabled This worked fine previously on the same system.Is anyone else seeing this in Fresco on Windows?

When I click on a tool in my toolbar (e.g. brushes) - the sub-settings for the tools are only half accessible. They are slowly inching up the screen and becoming inaccessible. I cannot possibly change the brush size or edit the smoothing. It seems to get worse every day… I’m working on a windows laptop.I have tried seeing if I can drag it down with my pen or mouse - nothing. It’s stuck. I have tried fiddling with the settings - nothing seems to work (also, there aren’t many settings anyway?) I have tried shutting the app and restarting it. I have tried restarting the computer. I have tried ‘repairing’ the app through windows. I want to avoid ‘reinstalling’ if I can - in case I am going to lose my brushes? Will my brushes get deleted if I reinstall the app, or are they saved in the cloud settings?Has anyone had this issue? Thanks! 

I'm using the latest windows software of fresco 5.5.5 and I'm having trouble adding any brush sets. It never changes from adding in progress. Is there a workaround? I'm on my Microsoft surface tablet.  

Hello, I am experiencing a critical bug where my Fresco animation files are being automatically converted into PSD format and all animation layers/frames are flattened into a single non-editable layer.  Could you please investigate if there is any way to restore a previous version from the server-side that still retains the original Fresco animation structure? I have already checked the Version History on my device, but the error seems to have synced across all versions. 

Is the only way to do symmetry is to make a duplicate and flip it manually through the transform tool?  Is there any update on when there will be a real symmetry tool in Fresco? Thanks

I give it a solid 98% of the time, when I activate a drawing aid, there is no chance I can resize it or rotate it. The handles never come up to have that option. Sometimes, if I go in and just fiddle with different app settings for a while, the handles will pop up, but even then it is usually after closing and restarting the program 4+ times.  Anyone know how to make these aids work properly every time. It is downright infuriating.

I'm using vector layers and did all the line work on one layer and set it as a reference so I can fill the layer below it. It worked for a while then it stopped filling all they way. There's a gap where there's no color. I know you can change it in the fill setting by adjusting the color margin but it won't even let me open the fill settings. Anyone know a fix to this?

I’m trying to open my older files and they’re not opening because of this syncing issue I’m honestly starting to stress because I really need them and don’t know how to restore what should I do? 

Hi there! I'm just trying to see if anybody had the same issues and what kind of remedy you were able to find to solve this problem. I'm also very new to Ai and that will explain why I made a grave mistake. So when I discovered that Adobe Fresco has vector brushes and I could play with some settings, especially editing taper/smoothness/velocity then I was intrigued. I fell in love with Fr and created over 150 vector illustrations. All was great until I realized Fr does NOT offer paths. Then my whole word collapsed because I need to be able to modify how thick or thin my lines are. It is very crucial for me because I wanted to use my illustrations to create brass plates for foil accents on paper & polymer plates to be used for letterpress. Sadly then I found out Fr offers shapes, not paths, there are no strokes but filled shapes. Hello! I can't send a FRESCO FILE form one IPad to another. There's no option like "export as..". When i try to export it as a PSD file and then send it via Airdrop, the files arrive to the other IPad as an image and not as a PSD file. Does anybody knows how to make it?Thank you very much!

My old Draw files show up in my creative cloud file explorer, but the option to convert to Fresco is missing. These files are dear to me and the low-res download option is not viable.

Why is Fresco not available for Mac Desktop????

I'm trying to open a photoshop doc in Fresco but keep getting a "Embedded Image Dimensions too Large - must be 8192 pixels by 8192 pixels." The file I'm trying to open is 3900 x 5700 300ppi. I've tried dupliacting it and saving in adobe cloud but its not working.

Dear Adobe Fresco developer team,When I use the ruler or any other shape (circle, rectangular, triangle, etc. ) it snaps randomly to the place it wants on the canvas. So NOT only when I rotate it but even if I just move it to get to the right place. It seems that it wants to snap to a place on the canvas that it wants and it is frustrating to keep moving it to get to the right place! I understand that it is useful for the drawings where lines must be aligned but in my case I don't want them to be aligned, I just want the shapes to be exactly in the place that I want to!

Hi! I have my PS files on Google’s MyDrive in a folder. MyDrive and the folder are clearly visible and functional on my iMac and MBP M2 at the Finder level. However, Bridge doesn’t see them, although the files are off-line downloaded, physically, on my iMac’s external disk. ChatGPT tells me that I can work with my files in this way (and it sounds just rational). By now, my iMac and MBP are working fine. I haven’t any other issues with my two Macs. This is (once more) a strange thing with Adobe products. No other app in my life has ever objected to follow Finder in my Mac! So, how can I see the files on my Macs?? Regards, TuomasPS.
