I use a couple of smart collections for every wedding client. One contains only flagged photos that are also virtual copies, these are using for sneaky peeks for the couple, social media, etc.The other is flagged photos that aren’t virtual copies, these are the final selections from culling that will be exported for delivery.Being able to use the same smart collection that simple looks at the currently active folder, rather than have hundreds of duplicates, would be ideal and no doubt far more efficient than each smart collection needing to constantly check for changes.I’m sure there are many other reasons why other users would also find this useful.
The Problem:Currently, there is no way to link only specific character properties (like Font Face) between text layers without using complex expressions that overwrite everything else (Size, Color, Tracking). When creating technical animations or "edutainment" content with many text layers, I often want all layers to share the same Font, but I need them to have different Sizes or Colors for visual hierarchy. Right now, using the .style expression is "all or nothing"—it forces every layer to look identical, or requires me to manually hard-code overrides for every single layer, which is a massive time-waster. The Requested Feature:I would like to see a "Pickwhip" or a dropdown menu in the Character Panel or Text Properties that allows us to: Link Font Face only: Change the font on a "Master" layer and have all "Child" layers update their font while keeping their unique sizes. Individual Property Access: Be able to use an expression like text.sourceText.style.font or text.sourceText.style.fillColor independently. Style "Styles": A way to create a "Character Style" (similar to InDesign or Photoshop) that multiple layers can subscribe to within After Effects.
I want a mask that removes dark circles and makes my face look prettier.
Please, a great feature would be Team Projects actually working, instead of preventing from saving locally and online. It really is the most wanted feature I think: we’ve been provided time-wasting workarounds already, but then why use this feature if we can’t even be sure to be able to even save as a normal offline project. In the last month publishing and\or locally save a team project failed 85% of the time, for me and my team, let alone all the copies of the projects we manually have to save around. Please FIX it, or at least let we know where is the problem: is our network? our workstation? something else? I want to keep using and paying for Premiere Pro (as I did for years), but half of my coworkers push me towards Resolve Studio and its Cloud as is consistently more reliable and cheaper. Let us know what to do.
Please add the auto mask feature for LR Mobile. Also please add color swap as well for IR.
New Guide: Please change back the add guide feature to default to the measurement system the file is set up with! I use guides a lot for print formatting and have a shortcut set up, and the input windows changed with the last update. It also used to automatically let you type into the "Position" box, but you now have to click it to start typing, and you have to specify the unit of measurement if you want the guide placed with something other than pixels.
It would be nice & very helpful if there would be an indicator, that there exists a synched collection under a stacked and collapsed collection. Here is an example for what I mean.
Hi I would like to request for premiere pro to be released for android ecosystem …atleast start with samsung app store .. since their tablet line up is strong enough and comparable with ipad…..capcut is taking over the market I think you guys can provide a better platform for mobile video editing
I’m looking at leveraging existing UI but with js libraries that allow for output to Web as native js files or rendered in AE if raster output is required. TeamAE would provide a few Script UIs to create assets as well as leverage on existing infrastructure such as Shapes and Text Layers. This feature should also be foundational to developing more features such as direct output to Lottie and Rive and even OGraf if it manages to achieve traction. A Web-based app with ability to download the project file will be a bonus. OH! Before I forget, since Maxon has released Autograph, may we know the dates for the following - i - Adobe adding Substance 3D Apps as a free add-on to the AE subscription ii - TeamAe announcing improved 3D rendering features such as improved speed, ray-tracing and reflections etc ;-)
Scrollable Comp Panel for Canvas Feature is a feature that allows an AE Comp Viewer to be used as a Visual Placeholder for other comps and assets. This will allow users to use a Canvas Composition to -- create visual storyboards- place multiple output sized comps into a single Canvas Composition for checking- create a visual canvas for the different levels of a MoGraph Design SystemDoes not require realtime playback BUT will be good to be able to marquee select an area using Region of Interest to define a preview area.Structurally, Canvas Compositions can be thought off as a Page-based System that allows the user to navigate from one Canvas Composition to another using a Page-Number or Name with visual links to Compositions and Assets and even Group of Layers within a Composition. And add support for breakpoints so the user can easily go from/to vertical to/from horizontal views.
It was really help with workflow if we didn’t have to save and then open or drag reference images into Firefly and the AI models.
For those unfamiliar, Median Stacking it is a process where you stack multiple images of the same scene, then a Median filter averages them out to retain only details that exist on all images. It's commonly used to to eliminate high ISO noise in nightime photography or astrophotography while retaining stars and other details. ISO noise is random and easily filtered out with this method. It's a much better approach to standard noise reduction which adversly affects the whole image. It's also used to remove crowds of people from a scene – you do a timelapse of the scene and then Median Stack the images remove anything that doesn't exist on multiple photos. Very nice. It currently has to be done in Photoshop, which is a one way trip (there's a nice overview of how it's done here with some nice examples https://iwillbeyourphotoguide.com/reduce-noise-median-averaging-photos ) Instead, it should be an option inside of Lightroom Classic. A new DNG would be created (similiar to how HDR or Panorama creates a new DNG) allowing for continued RAW editing. I would like to remind people that in earlier versions of Lightroom, creating HDR or Panorama also used to be a one way trip to Photoshop too, which meant that most of the time it was too much hassle to bother with. Now, Lightroom makes those super easy and fun to create. The same can be true for Median Stacking!
How about a more robust feature set for captions, like being able to highlight single words or add shapes behind to highlight without having to do it manually? An automated feature tied in with the transcript and captioning features would be really useful.
Insert keyframes based on audio analysis, for example:1) Dialogue (based on specific words, inserting an animation keyframe when the word "hello" is spoken). This way, we can zoom in on the image when the word "hello" is spoken.2) Select a piece of music, analyze it, and specify that keyframes should be placed on that bass drum or kick. The analysis is based on the selected region, as in iZotope RX 11.
I’m a bit puzzled… There really is no way to smooth masks created with a pen-tool with the help of bezier handles? How come?
When styling an InDesign table, using the diagram in the table-styling toolbar is maddening becauseit’s so small, the selected and unselected lines in the diagram are indistinguishable. and finally, the pale gray and blue colors are tonally too close. Could you please try something like this:Thanks much.
I like to throw in a lot of voice overs into the queue. It’s faster if I can select all my files and download them as a zip file.
Can you implement custom values as defaults for strength, music, bg enhancement?for example my starting point is 70/100/20
Currently if you have a Production with 2 projects in it and you bring a sequence from Project A into Project B, it comes in as a copy. If you click into the nested sequence on a timeline in Project B, you are working with a sequence that has no link to Project A. It would potentially be better for collaborative workflows if the nested sequence had a link back to Project A. That way if work is done in Project A it would reflect in Project B and vice versa. This would be similar to how multi-camera sequences currently work in Productions where changes made to a multi-camera sequence are reflected anywhere that sequence is used and double clicking into a multi-camera sequence in a project will open the sequence up in its originating project. My team is trying to use Productions with multiple editors working on sequences in many projects that get collated together into one primary sequence and it is sometimes a bit confusing to track where work on a sequence is happening if an editor clicks into a nest on the primary sequence, as those changes will not be reflected in the projects the sequences originated from.
Please add an Auto Color or AI-assisted Quick Balance feature to the new Premiere Pro Color Mode. The previous Lumetri Auto feature was extremely helpful for editors who need a fast starting point for correcting exposure, white balance, contrast, and saturation without needing advanced color grading knowledge. The new Color Mode is powerful, but it currently feels very manual for fast-turnaround workflows like interviews, event videos, social content, church/media production, and weekly edits. An intelligent one-click correction tool would make the new workflow much more accessible and efficient for non-colorists while still allowing advanced users to continue refining manually afterward.
