I am a new corporate user. What looks like a copyright line appears on every page of every file I open. See upload. TMy email address changed so I had to update my license and the problem persists!! his overlays text I'm trying to edit. It isn't an image I can grab and delete. How do I get rid of it? Help! Thanks 🙂
Hi,I am currenly working with Technical Writer so she can work on my design and do all texts. There is an issue, It looks very wide on InCopy, when I get back to InDesign, everything is fine (See first screenshot). But in InCopy view it looks way so wide and illustrations looks so small (see second screenshot). This is not a big proglem, we are working fine but it would be better if I have same look also in InCopy. Doing changes in Document Setup did not work. Thanks in advance.
How can I download Incopy version 16 and 17. These version are urgently needed and somehow the Adobe does not allow to install later than version 17.
Hello. I am working in InCopy 2024, but I'm having trouble routing files to co-workers. I route a file. However, the Studio view does not show that the file has been routed, and my colleagues do not get any notice. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? I did not have any troubles with InCopy 2019. We just switched to 2024. Thank you.
I have recently finished University, and I had a student plan with the University. That account is no longer activated, how do I access all of my cloud documents on that account?Any help would be greatly appreciated because all of my work is on there. I just assumed it would still be on my computer.Thank you
I am placing a Word file in InDesgin and funny things are happening...so I open the Word file in InCopy and found that some of the authors text was in a box or chart? The text wouldn't flow past it. So I solved that but now I can't get the endnotes to place. When I open the Word file in InCopy, there are blue brackets around each note. What does that mean and how can I fix? Help!
Hey all! I am trying to figure out how to change my zoom preset when I open InCopy. All my documents open at 77.3%, and I'd like them to open at 150%. I've Googled ideas that largely answer this question for InDesign and other Adobe products, but their steps don't work when I try them in InCopy. Any advice? Thanks!
We run a magazine and our editorial team uses InCopy to edit the text that designers set up in InDesign. We are all remote and use Synology to sync files between our office server and everyone's computers. Everyone uses Macs, though of varing models/ OS. One of our editors today found that some of the .icma files were missing. Thinking it was a sync issue, we tried dropping a file into the folder and thats how we discovered it was hidden, not unsynced. By hitting [Command + Shift + .] she could see them again and open/use the file as normal. It's not ALL the .icma files, only some of them. All of the .icml files are still visible as normal. Different designers created them originally. Resaving the .icma and forcing Synology to resync them made no difference. The file names of the affected files are consistent with our naming convention so nothing out of the ordinary. Her Mac OS is Sonoma v. 14.3.1. This has not happened to her before, but it HAS happ
My team upgraded to InDesign 19.5 to create the layout and our Editorial team uses InCopy to make changes to the text. When they make their changes are complete, our team adjusts the layout and we generate a new PDF. Late last week we have discovered that some of the hyperlinks and anchors within the document suddenly no longer work when they come back from InCopy updates. It's frustrating as it's randomly happening to only some of the links, and they continue to maintain the hyperklink style so we cannot just verify by glancing at the PDF. When I look at the text in InDesign, the text that was previously hyperlinked does not allow for a new hyperlink to be added. I have to remove the whole text and add the text again. Is this a new issue? Should we be rolling back to a previous version?
When using InCopy version 20.0.1, my team is having trouble with content updating from an .indd file. We open them with InCopy to do our text editing. We have to go through each text box that has been updated and update them individually. Is there a way to update all content at once? We have tried closing the book and the program and reopening.
We are working in Indesign 2024 on a serverbased solution with clients working in Incopy. Some of our clients have updated to Incopy 2025, and we are wondering if that will be okay, or is it still important to use same versions of Indesign and Incopy?
Does any one else ever have this issue? It does not happen to all pages, only a few every now and then. After setting things up in Indesign and sending over to Incopy for Editors, sometimes content misaligns on a handful of pages. Not all of them, just a few sometimes. On some pages the guides become misaligned as well. The misalignment seems to be consistent with the amount of offset of the misalignment between the pages it happens on. Any idea where this could be coming from? No items are associated with any object styles so positioning rules are not a concern.
Hello,I've been having the issue with Incopy files (assignments) not updating in Indesign documents.Indesign layouts and assignments live on Onedrive. After my collegues make changes and I open the layout on my end I can see design changes in Indesign, but I can't see changes to the text files (Incopy assignemenst). For some reason Indesign file syncs properly but Incopy files don't sync at all.I've updated all apps to the latest 20.0, cleared cache and updet OS tp 15.1 and but the problem still persists.I am the only person on the team of 5 who has the sync issues with Incopy files.Any ideas about what might be causing it?
Adobe seems to planing til abolish InCopy. In InDesign beta 20.1 the useless "Share for Review" has been renamed "InCopy for web" and all IcCopy functions are are gone. No Assignments panel, no nothing. What can be done to stop this from happening?
I effectively cannot make use of InCopy because my clients of course do not have it.I need a workflow where the document copy is saved in InCopy files, and these can then be edited – minor text edits is all we need – by e.g. a third party translator, client editorial staff, etc.The ideal workflow would be a built in "upload for editing" feature similar to Acrobat's upload for commenting feature. Adobe needn't see this as giving free access to InCopy to other users. The other users should only have the most basic access to edit just the text itself for a specifically shared ICML file. What options do I have, and if there are none, id there another software that can achive this same concept?
I'm using InDesign, and assigning InCopy assignments so that my teammates can make their edits in InCopy. They do not have InDesign. Multiple times, on various proposals (not all the same one) I've created assignments of the documents I need edited. When I go into the assignments folder there is suddenly a duplicate of each file with an updated file name. This time there was a dash and a 1 added to the end of each file name (-1). This causes great confusion when my team goes into edit files because they do not know which one to choose. I only happens sometimes, and not all the time. I'm guessing that I am doing something in InDesign that is telling the program to save an updated version of all of the assignments, but have no idea what that might be. Here is an example of what's happening: Original file name: Hanson Lake for Copper Creek 2 DMNew file name: Hanson Lake FOR Copper Creek 2 DM-1Today I also found a new file that said "conflict." My original file name was: Cover Copper Creek
Hello,I work in a group that has been using the Incopy Workflow for a little over three years. We've had great success with templated flyers, letters and reports for our multi-departmental clients as they are able to edit on their own with little supervision from our design team until we facilitate print production.Within the past 6 months we've been running into issues where the Incopy users have to manually update the content (in the assignments panel) every time they launch the Indd file in Incopy. The change in workflow has prompted a lot of panic in our users (that their original work was not saved the last time they used the program — the view of the file defaults to the last time the file was saved in InDesign) and this has taken a lot of time away from their typical Incopy workflow. It has also led to collaboration issues, as the collaborators will not necessarily see the revised changes their peers have done (because it defaults to the stage of when the Indd was last saved in
InCopy: upload InCopy document to Creative Cloud ... linked to InDesign document ... How?
Hi!I just changed my Macbook Pro, and installed inCopy 2020 (15.1.2) which I used in my old Macbook. The problem is that the text cursor disappeared from inCopy. I've tried to erase the incopy preferences, but it didn't work.I'm using:MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020)Chip Apple M18GBmacOS Big Sur 11.4
I need to share incopy files with a client and be able to work in the same space but I don't seem to be able to access the files that I have copied up to one drive on my mac. Am I missing something or is it only workable through dropbox?
Can I do Superscript and subscript in InCopy?
Hello everyone, I'm having an issue on my InCopy 2021. Whene someone assign me a document with InDesign (this is also the 2021 version), and I try to write on it, when i exceed the text block limit by writing more, it creates a blank page. Is there something I can do to avoid this behaviour? I remember some time ago it used to show an icon telling me that i've exceeded and i could modify my text in the draft view. I'm using WoodWing to access documents on the server and so my InDesign-collegues do. Thanks in advance for the answers and sorry for my maccheroni-english <Title renamed by MOD>
I'm working on a volume with LOTS of changes, and would like to work in a text-only-ish environment. However, it seems the only zoomable view is Layout, which defeats the purpose.I think I'm just missing it, but how do we zoom (or just make the type larger) in the Galley and Story views? thanks!
Our editors open up .indd layout files using InCopy to edit stories on a local NAS. We've been doing this for years and since updating to IC 19.5 (Mac), some users are experiencing a missing layout view when they open some .indd files. A workaround is to open a different layout, close it and then open the faulty file again. This trick seems to bring the layout view back to the original file, but it's still very frustrating and doesn't consistently work. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know what could be causing it? The users experiencing the problem are using Sonoma.
