Bonjour Adobe,Je souhaite signaler un problème que nous avons rencontré avec InDesign 25 concernant la Fusion de données.Depuis la mise à jour, il est impossible de charger une source de données (.txt). Dès la sélection du fichier, InDesign affiche le message :« La source de données sélectionnée contient un ou plusieurs noms de champs vides. »Après de nombreux tests, nous pouvons confirmer que le problème ne vient pas des fichiers de données :test avec plusieurs fichiers .txt, y compris un fichier minimal (nom / Test) ; test avec plusieurs documents InDesign ; réinitialisation des préférences ; réinstallation complète d'InDesign.Nous avons également comparé plusieurs configurations :InDesign 25 : le problème est reproductible. Version précédente d'InDesign : les mêmes fichiers fonctionnent immédiatement. Tests réalisés sur Windows et macOS, avec le même constat.La seule solution que nous avons trouvée est de revenir à la version précédente d'InDesign.Pouvez-vous vérifier s'il s'agit d'

cmd+z indesign not working. it will work when i first open the doc but switch off at some point. have to restart the software to resolve it. edit>undo also appeared greyed out and unclickablei'm running on macOS tahoe 26.6, and indesign 21.4.1. I have also disabled generative AI features in my indesign preferences. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and that didn't work, restarted my machine, reset my program preferences and nothing i’ve been trying seems to solve it. I have been dealing with this issue on and off for the past 8 months - it seems to happen randomly, but possibly more often on gigantic files.

Hi, I’ve updated my InDesign to version 21.5.1 yesterday and noticed, that in Data Merge, it stopped supporting danish letters in the .csv’s column names. It changes the letters to a random character, so the data merge function doesn’t work anymore because it can’t figure out the link between the .csv and the placeholders.My job relies heavily on data merge so I rolled the update back to 21.4.1 and it works perfectly. I hope the bug will soon be resolved.

Hola, tengo un problema a ver si alguien me puede ayudar. Estoy haciendo un libro de matemáticas, utilizo el editor de fórmulas de indd. Cuando empaqueto las fórmulas quedan como .svg, como es para impresión, debería poder obtener un .tif, o un .eps...  cuando exporto a pdf, aunque incruste perfil CMYK, la fórmula se exporta en RGB, por lo que el pdf sale con error. He intentado cambiar la extensión... no sé cómo solucionarlo y no encuentro en foros una solución. ¿alguien sabe cómo hacerlo?

No matter how I install the fonts, InDesign won’t make them available. I’ve used third-party font managers, Font Book, installed fonts directly into the system library and added them to the Fonts subfolder in the InDesign folder.The fonts appear I all my other applications including Illustrator and Photoshop.Interestingly, unavailable fonts become available in previously created documents that use a particular font. I can select the text and change the wight of the font, but it still doesn’t show up in the font list pull-down menu. I can also copy and paste the text into a new document to use a specific font. However, If I want to use a newly added font, there is no way to access it in InDesign.I have tried all the standard trouble-shooting methods including uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign.I am on a Mac with all the latest software updates.

Le document final se compose de plusieurs chapitres, chacun possédant ses notes (notes de fin) dont la numérotation automatique est insérée dans le corps du chapitre après le mot concerné sous la forme d’un appel de note. Je souhaiterai en plus, en début de chaque note, insérer automatiquement le numéro de la page où se trouve cet appel de note.Est-ce possible et comment ?

Ich habe ein PDF geschrieben, welches auch im Ordner angezeigt wird. Allerdings bleibt InDesign einfach hängen bei 98% und ich kann das Dokument nicht schließen.Liegt das an den verknüpften Bildern / eingebetteten Bildern?Bei uns gab es einen Serverwechsel und ich habe vorab alle Bilder eingebettet. Versucht InDesign trotzdem den alten Pfad im Hintergrund zu finden? Selbst wenn ich ein Bild anklicke, dann reagiert das Programm einfach nicht und bleibt ca. 60sek hängen.Wer kennt solch ein Problem?Zudem kann ich nun alte Dokumente (vor dem Serverwechsel) nicht mehr öffnen, da InDesign immer hängenbleibt und wahrscheinlich versucht die alten Bildverknüpfungen zu finden. Kann man das Problem der Aufgabe im Hintergrund umgehen, damit das Programm nicht immer versucht die Bildverknüpfungen zu finden? Bei großen Dateien ist das echt ein riesen Problem, wenn das Programm versucht XX Bilder zu überprüfen.Danke :-) InDesign bleibt einfach hängen… schließt nicht. 

(05/08/2026, version 21.5, updated yesterday) Glad for the option to delete all AI generated alt-text... if only it would work properly. The remove all button doesn’t recognize the generated alt-text and pretends there is nothing to delete. This document has 208 pages and there is several pictures on each of them. Having AI generated descriptions on our images erodes the trust our clients have in our products, and I had to find roundabout techniques to delete them directly in the exported PDF because as a professional, I can not afford the time to delete them all by hand, one by one in InDesign. Thus, neither me or my colleagues have touched the descriptions : they are as they were generated (without our consent) when this feature was pushed without notice. So the feature should recognize them as AI generated text to be deleted, and just does not. I keep being dissatisfied with how this whole situation have been handled since it’s been reported month ago.  Dialog box says “No AI-genera

I have a half-page postcard with small images embedding. I’m trying to save it to my CC files so I can share with a collaborator, but it either never saves or takes 20-30 minutes to save. Is that normal?

I downloaded the latest North American English version to get the "Share for Text Editing" feature, but when I open a new file and click "SHARE," I only see "Share for Review or Comment." Does anyone know why I don't have the "Share for Text Editing" feature?Thanks everyone for your help!

When having a file open in InDesign 2024 on my Macbook Pro (Sonoma 14.2.1 OS), close the lid, plug into my LG UltraFine external monitor and wake the computer up, the InDesign window is still open and all the tool bars are visible and working, but the area where the artwork is becomes black/blank and I can't see the work. I can see the bounding boxes if I select all, but no image or text. The window is entirely blank. The same thing happens if I'm working on my LG monitor, unplug the display and then open the Macbook to work. I always have my Macbook closed when plugged into the LG display and use both an external keyboard and trackpad. The solution is to always save, quit InDesign and reopen. If I go through that it works again. Is it a bug with Apple? Is it a bug with Adobe? My LG firmware, OS and Adobe InDesign are all updated to the latest versions.

I am constantly having to call our IT Department to fix an issue with even opening InDesign up. They say without Adobe making a “Patch” to fix the problem, we will continue to have these issues. Please, Adobe, fix my InDesign issue once and for all. I use it all day, every day for my job.

HiEach time I import an image into Indesign, the image loads okay, but I get the blue swirling ‘loading’ icon that never stops. I can save my document, and the menus still work but I can’t work on the actual page, and the only way I can clear it it to Force quit Indesign using Task Manager. This started about 2 weeks ago, and was fine before and I haven’t made any changes to my PC. I thought maybe it started after an update of Indesign, so I tried reverting to an older version, but still had the same problem.I have tried re-installing Indesign. (version21.3)  I use Windows 11.I really hope you can help please?Thanks Chris

Indesign crashes when exporting to PDF interactive when it was working fine a few months ago. published direct to my computer, contains 2 hyperlinks. Indesign Version 21.5.1This is frustrating as I am trying to keep my team working on Indesign instead of using AI to do reports. And I am losing the battle when we cannot do a simple task as exporting a pdf (single page) : this is killing our productivity. I have an apple silicon M2 Max chipOS version 14.3.1 (23D60)I hope you /someone can help me sort this out.Much appreciated. 

Can anyone explain to me why every single time there is an update to InDesign or Bridge on my machine, i immediately get the Application error 0xc0000142 unable to start correctly? I know that simply repairing Visual C++ Redistributable will fix the issue, but in my instance, that is an admin task that we are not able to accomplish without getting our IT Helpdesk involved. So basically everytime I update, I am dead in the water until my helpdesk team can get on it. It is just silly.  And yes, we have uninstalled and reinstalled both the Adobe programs and the latest C++ packages. What is the deal and how to correct this?

I updated to InDesgin V20.0 on a Mac and no matter what tool I select, the cursor/mouse pointer arrow changes to a hand with index finger pointing (see image below). This is very confusing and hard to adapt to. I also can't tell what tool I'm using by looking at the pointer as it's always the hand icon. I'd like to switch it back to the former arrow pointer or the tool that's being used but can't figure out how. Anyone else having htis issue or figured out a workaround?    <Title renamed by MOD>

After a very, VERY long list of new bugs that appear in the Adobe suite like copy and paste not working, constant crashing and instability, indesign is coming to a new low. Since the last 2 updates I can't even seem to close Indesign without using force close in the Windows task manager?! How can I get this program to close without having to resort to bashing it with the Windows banhammer every single time.Running the latest version of CC and indesign, no background tasks active and  everything works except every single native option to close the program!And with a 14th gen i7, 16GB CPU and 64GB DDR5 it's not a performance issue.Strangly when using the free Affinity tools there are none of the horrible and inexcusable bugs that a billion dollar company can't seem to fix.
