InDesign

La universidad tiene licencia para todos los programas de adobe, pero cuando me voy a descargar indesign me sale que no es compatible con mi despositivo. El ordenador tiene la ultima actualizacion y ya lo he tenido descargado antes con la version gratuita de 7 dias. En cuanto se me acabo lo borre, se me hace raro que no me deje descargarlo

I want to have multiple lists in the same text frame, and I want each of them to start at 1. I can't figure out how to do that.

As of yesterday, I have been unable to open any of my InDesign files saved in the Adobe Cloud that are larger than 10MB and I have tried opening them on different computers. When I go to the Creative Cloud desktop app and try to download them, when they are on the desktop and I select 'Get Info', they are 0 bytes.  I have gone through every troubleshooting option I've seen available and have yet to find a solution to this. This is rather important as I have hundreds of hours of work saved In the Adobe Cloud on InDesign that I need for my master's assignment due in 6 weeks... P.S. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared the cache, restarted everything, etc.I have a MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021 with 16GB memory for reference.

Hi there! I've seen a bunch of posts on this issue, but most of them advise to fix it in Acrobat Pro. My problem is I ONLY have InDesign 2025 (v20.1 x64) I've set the tab order by:Object ... Interactive ... Set Tab OrderWindow ... ArticlesThe form layers (ordering the fields top to bottom) None of these are working when I export the form.  Sometimes the tab order breaks down after the first 7 or 8 fields, sometimes less. I am checking the "Use Structure for Tab Order" when exporting. Can anyone assist? (please do NOT tell me to do it in Acrobat 😂)

I received a new template for a newsletter in InDesign CC 2015 and the text will only sit on lines. If I try to nudge a text box up or down, the text disappears and will only appear again if it reaches another line. How do I stop this?

I am on the latest version of Adobe InDesign, 20.2, on a Win11 machine which also has the latest updates.  The ASUS software is also up to date.      When I type in a document, the text that is already there can randomly disappear, and then re-appear.  It might be a line, a paragraph or the entire page that disappears.  When I switch away from InDesign to another program and then switch back the text may not return.  I can highlight the missing text to copy & paste, but that action alone doesn’t bring the text back.   I am using a pretty powerful, new machine, an ASUS ProArt 13, so it should not be a question of memory etc, at least I hope not!   <Title renamed by moderator>

Same document and different format of word (doc and docx).Scenario 1: DocIf I flowed the doc file in InDesign there is no issue. I got the correct character style no extra style is there. Please refer the below screen shot there is only 1 character style "Strong"  Scenario 2: DocXIf I flowed the docx file in InDesign i am facing  issue there is some extra character style with unnamed character style please refer the below screenshot.  If we right click shows "^1" it seems to be junk stylePlease let us know why this issue arising between doc and docx file. I attached doc and docx file for your analysis.  

Hi all, I can select all objects on Indesign pages but Indesign does not show me the just selected item till I do go out with the mouse pointer; when out with the pointer Indesign show me the selected object correctly.This happen on all document and also in a new created document.What I try to solve the matter:I reset the Indesign preferencesI also formtat the drive and re-install MacOS and install only Indesign and Creative Cloude Environment:MacOSX 15.3.1 MacStudio M1 Note:On my other MacBook Air M2 with all the same MacOSX and Indesign version the problem does not exist. Any help is welcomeThank for reply 

I recently got new monitors. Ever since I've been having this issue where ONLY IN INDESIGN, I am unable to move objects with the direct selection tool where I want them to go. If I try, the object will jump across the screen or refuse to move all together. Nothing is locked. This happens for any kind of object in all documents. Sometimes when I try to move something, it randomly creates "snippets" on my desktop as well. I can use the arrow keys still to move objects around. I seem to be getting a similar error anytime I try to click and drag anything. For example, duplicating a page by dragging the page down to the + "Create new page" button at the bottom of my pages window or duplicating a swatch in a similar fashion in the swatches panel. I can right-click and still duplicate both. It's only when I drag that I get a red error circle. This problem was ONLY OCCURRING when I had Indesign on the monitor's screen. It was working fine if I moved it over to my laptop screen.   A tem

Hi,I'm trying to create an Indesign TOC which displays in a specific format depending on which paragraph style it is picking up (chapter or heading). I've created styles within my TOC, which are based on a basic paragraph style which is contained outside of the TOC group. The TOC chapter / heading paragraph styles then contain a slight variation in tab and font. Whilst these displayed as expected, as soon as i update the contents page, all of this is lost and the various headings/chapters revert to the formatting used within the document.I have a previous document i've based this off which shows it working, and i can't see any differences in the set-up. When i tried copying the old TOC style into my new document, the same issue arises. This doesn't include nesting, etc, which I don't really know how to use.If anyone knows where i'm going wrong, please let me know.

For some reason this happens to me often... the characters will be inconsistently in proportional oldstyle. Any suggestions?

Hello!    I am using Data Merge to populate things in a text field. I also need to set the Fill Color of the text field. Just basic color coding and organization.     I added a "COLOR" column to the CSV and want to use the terms in the column to trigger different Fill Colors, Object Styles, etc. I cannot find how to assign the "COLOR" column to any of these things inside of InDesign though…     <Title renamed by MOD>

Any way to have paragrapgh styles in cc librairies to uptaded when working on a few files?

Working with an older file and can not figure out how to get the side by side 8.5 x 11 pages to save as a 11 x 17 in PDF format The indesgn file looks right and the older PDF files were saved correct but I do not know how the previous person saved this. When I go to print the updated file It prints on two 8.5 x 11.

Years ago, in an earlier incarnation of both Photoshop and InDesign, I was able to scan a hand-written piece of  "art", manipulate it in Photoshop, then import into a bounding box in InDesgin, where I can turn b/w object to any color. Years later, I've been trying to figure out what I did then, but can't. I'm trying to figure out how to to save the image in Photoshop so it can be colored later in InDesign. But, without having to color it in Photoshop before I import it to InDesign. I have the older objects, in this case, hand scribbled alphabets that are b/w white but I'm able to change them in InDesign. If this sounds at all clear, please let me know how it can be done. Maybe the steps have changed in a decade. Below is a simple example. The original letter is b/w, tranparent background and saved as grey, in Photoshop. Then brought into InDesign, it's color changed then. I can't replicate this any longer. Thanks.

I have an ongoing issue with Indesign flickering on the monitor everytime I unplug/replug my Mac from the docking station. InDesign version 20.1Docking station: TB4H3TB Thunderbolt 4 BLAZE ALOGIC TB4H3TB Thunderbolt 4 BLAZE Docking Station User GuideMac Specs:  The Mac is connected to docking station via USB-C cable.I tried disabling GPU performance but no changes.This issue doesn't happen when I work on another monitor connected via the apple HDMI to USB C. Any help is greatly appreciated.    

He llamado porque no era capaz de visualizar una maqueta, me han dicho que desintale el Indesing que tenía para poner uno más actual y sorpresa... no hay ninguno compatible, me han dicho cambie de ordenador, entonces no puedo abrir ahora ninguna maqueta porque el Indesing que tenía me dicen que ya está en desuso y tengo muchos trabajos a medias los cuales debo terminar. Alguien tiene Indesing para este ordenador hasta que me pueda comprar otro? creo recordar cuando lo abría ponía 2018. Mil gracias.

Ever since the upgrade to InDesign 2025, after I open an InDesign file, close it and exit, and then need to rename the file or the folder it is in, or try to move the folder to a different location, I get the dialogue box:  "The action can't be completed because the folder or file in it is open in another program. Close the folder or file and try again". The folder and file remain in this state until the computer is rebooted. This does not happen with Illustrator 2025, or with Photoshop 2025 files and folders. This did not happen in InDesign 2024. I can copy these files into new folders and rename the copies, as long as they are not opened in InDesign 2025. It is pretty clear to me that InDesign [probably it's "Open Recent" file list] is locking these folders & files in place with something like a hidden database file, or similar.This is very difficult since most of my work is "Work in Progress" and until I get part numbers and drafting numbers need for my files and

Whenever I try to the article in InCopy, the Layout is empty. Any ideas?

Running 20.2 x64Windows 10 Pro When attempting to generate a style pack i get a "ReferenceError: Object is Invalid" script alert. No ID or code is given. My style packs remain empty after the error yet when I go to generate a new on it tallies up the default descriptor (ie. style pack 1, style pack 2, style pack 3 etc) but there are none being formally catalogged.   

Hello, I'm working on a book project and I'm having a problem I never had.Only the third digit of current page number isn't affected by opentype features.All numbers should be proportional oldstyle but the third digit actually isn't.Anyone could help?

Bonjour,Je compose un livre illustré comportant de nombreuses notes et ne trouve pas comment fractionner les notes de fin de document en notes de fin de chapitres. Je compose le livre en important successivement les chapitres et les notes se regroupent par défaut à la fin du dernier chapitre, ce qui donne 500 notes à la toute fin au lieu de 2 fois 250 notes à la fin de chaque chapitre. Auriez-vous une solution? Merci d'avance!

The object style aa is also created automatically, and the paragraph style "for aa" is applied to the text. I have set up the positioning of the object and the frame auto-fit, as well as the coloring.It's created automatically first, and I'll follow up by manually modifying the styles myself. Thank you.
