Buenos días, Llevo desde ayer experimentando problemas con este error cada vez que intento publicar un documento o crear un link.He probado conectando el ordenador a diferentes wifis (ya que según Adobe el problema 18 se debe a una pérdida de conexión durante el proceso de publicación online). He probado a través de diferentes versiones de InDesign, diferentes documentos (viejos y nuevos), he cerrado sesión de Creative Cloud y vuelto a iniciar, he hablado con agentes, nadie de momento me da una solución. ¿A alguien le ha pasado algo parecido? Gracias

Hyperlinks from interactive Pdfs to text anchors in other Pdfs no longer works when exporting from Indesign 19.4 and 19.5 This is a feature we use extensivly and although it still works in 19.3 I'm getting worried that it will fall by the wayside in futures versions. I downloaded the latest Beta and it doesn't work in that either. If you want to recreate the problem I've drawn up a simplified graphic on how I set up these. once you export the iPdfs they should be named the same as the .Indd files and saved in the same folder. How do we go about fixing this? please let me know. 

Dear Support Community,my InDesign (v14.0.3) freezes apprx. 1 second after launching it. It only shows the "Touch Workspace"-overlay and the animation of the finger drawing a rectangle after freezing the program completely. The only way to close InDesign is via task manager.I tried reinstalling, updating, older versions, deleting old files but i can't seem to find a solution.I would be very thankful for any kind of help!Best regards!   {Renamed By MOD}

InDesign for Windows (2023 v18.4 and 2024 v19.5 tested) seem to open files as Read Only when the SMB network share those files reside on have OpLocks (Opportunistic Locks) turned off. InDesign for Mac does not have this problem with same share/protocol to file. The behavior for InDesign for Windows is when you open the file, it creates its IDLK file, then quickly deletes it and file is open as Read Only, making file saves a workflow nightmare. OpLocks must be disabled to accomodate another app (Revit).  No other app seems to have this problem with OpLocks disabled. Is there a workaround or solution to keep OpLocks off on a network share and still have our InDesign for Windows users be able to open their INDD files normally?

Please help!I have a document (book) which I am working on. When I first started it, everything was working properly.  However, now when I try to add a simple straight line using the line tool (to create divisions between blocks of text etc) or add a shape (rectangle) it simply WILL NOT appear on the page!  Obviously, it's not the Object>Arrange>Bring Forward etc - that's the first thing I have tried.  I have tried changing the colour and weight and it makes no difference.  It seems that I have "done something weird" (according to my daughter!)  I am not an expert by any means, but have a little bit of experience.  When I open a new document and try adding a line or shape, it works fine.  So it seems it's something with this document.  Does anyone have any idea what I might have inadvertantly done?

I am making a bige interactive and accessible form in Indesign. I have named al my textfields 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. Taborder is set. I have several pages that include the same sort of questions. (like name, adres, phone etc). So I thougt I just copy some field and textboxes to another page. But what happend is, in stead of auto numbering from where I was... the numbering of the textfields is automaticly set from bottom to top. So my first field is for example 1.20, the next unde that 1.19., 1.18....    Why would Indesign do that? And not number from top to bottom.... This is terrible because I have to set the tab order and all is totally upside down in numbering. How can I fix this? The form is about 85 pages long... so doing it al by hand is a real nightmare!   <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi. I have an ID document that I did file/share for review. Got comments, can see them in ID, but I can't locate an accept change or make change "button" like when you import comments from a PDF and ID makes the edit. I can only see, or mark resolved or unresolved. Don't understand the use of this Share feature then... I've used Annotoations by DTP since launch, but the client refuses to make pdf comments, event online acrobat which is frustating me to no end. Thanks in advance.

I have just saved several InDesign documents, all with the same background colour - set as a CMYK colour for consistency. BUT when I export the documents to print as High res PDFs, some of the colour splits on the back ground colour change. Its only random documents, not all of them. I have found a work around - copy all the images etc from the original document, and paste it onto a new document, then it works.  Its not ideal, as it shouldn't happen in the first place.  Thoughts?     <Title renamed by MOD>

I have recently upgraded my Windows 10  system to ID 15.1.1. I commonly have two (or more) documents open and need to switch between them. I normally use Alt-Tab, but sometimes switch by clicking on the other application's tab. Either way, it seems to lock up ID temporarily. If I wait (30-60) seconds, it does make the switch, but this was instantaneous in previous versions and is really slowing my workflow. Any idea how to get this fixed?   {Renamed by MOD}

can't reverse document layout on Adobe InDesign 2024 (version 19.5)as an ex: if I need to work on translated document from English to Arabic I can't reverse the layout as older versions.note: preferences adjusted (apps>Deafault install language: English يدعم العربيةso it should support RTL languages but unfortunately the newest version doesn't support RTL layout.

I have a MacBook Air 2015 which operates on 4GB RAM. Recently I've been unable to download or access Adobe InDesign at all due to it now requiring 8GB of RAM to function. I was able to use InDesign last year but now don't have access to the Indd files I need due to this limitation. The CC app won't let me download older versions of the app either. Has anyone found a solution to this? (Updating RAM is not an option for my device.)

Hi, I have a paragraph style with custom bullets that I have used dozens of times. But the project I am working on currently has added an unwanted second-line indent.  I have fiddled endlessly with the bullet, tab, and indent settings and cannot remove the unwanted second-line indent. A tab could be the issue, but I can't get it to budge. I am using Indesign Beta. See the issue and setting below. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you! Paula

I am creating a very simple table orientated product style catalog for work. Starting off with 250 products and growing up to 6K. I use photoshop mostly, and not very fluid with InDesign. I figured this would be dead simple to automate, but keep hitting barrier after barrier. I'll explain the problems I am having to see is there are any soltutions. I am using a parent page with header, footer and page count. First off, data merge doesn't work with tables. Not sure why Adobe hasn't updated this. I found a script that I thought was going to bridge that gap, but I cannot get it to work. Hello, I am trying to design a text in Telegu but the characters keeps changing and spaces being added randomly.  We are usign the Mallanna font, and it seems to be one of the best to work with but it still had issues. I have multiple InDesign files that I use to create a brandmarks. Each brandmark is different size. I need help with a script that will change the page size to the items on the page, save, close and move on to the next document. Any help out there is appreciated. 

Hi,I'm using InDesign 19.0.1Im trying to export an accessible PDF. I've checked the tags on the paragraph styles and the object export options box. I've made sure I've ticked the create tagged PDF and include Bookmarks and Hyperlinks boxes when exporting to PDF. When I open in Acrobat  and look in the tags pannel it says no tags available. When I check the content pannel the containers all say <artifact> next to them.  I'm not sure what's going wrong? Can someone help? Thanks,

I have a large collection of 1-2 page PDFs that I need to make small edits to and maintain as documents for future edits. I am able to import a document into Adobe Acrobat Pro and use the optical character recognition feature to convert things to editible text and make changes, but I can't save the document in any lossless way from within Acrobat (other than exporting another flattened PDF).  Does Indesign support similar optical character recognition for importing PDFs?  I'm looking for a way to do this without having to start over on the many documents I have in PDF format.  Since I know Adobe is capable of optical character recognition (Acrobat Pro), and has great document managing software (InDesign) I'm hoping to find a way to do this within the Adobe Creative suite, without having to pay $300 for 3rd party conversion software.  Can I copy-paste from Acrobat Pro to InDesign (after Acrobat has done the text conversion)?     <Title renamed by MOD>

In all my CS applications except InDesign CS6 (Mac), I can dock the tools window by the side of the main content panes like any other window: drag it to the edge, and at just the right point, it highlights where it will be docked with a blue outline, and docks when you let go.I can't find any way to do this in InDesign CS6 (Version 8.0, Mac), however. Unlike every other window, it never gives the option to dock, no matter where I drag it. The only options in the toolbar itself switch between one row vertical, two rows vertical, and one row horizontal. I've also looked in Preferences > Interface and the only options refer to the "Floating tools bar" and give the same one row vertical, two rows vertical, and one row horizontal options as the tool bar itself.I can't see any option to stop it floating. Bonjour, je rencontre un souci d'affichage: dès que je sélectionne un objet sur une page de travail, un bandeau noir apparait en bas d'écran et bouge en fonction de la position du curseur, voir tremble. dans un post trouvé de la communité, il était question de RAM insuffisante; j'ai ajouté hier de la mémoire est aujourd'hui 20GO, et le problème perdure. Avez vous un idée, une solution? merci
