Since rebuilding my computer and reinstalling Windows 11 (now on version 25H2) and moving the entire Lightroom folder containing the catalog, backups, etc. to the C drive (Photos stored on an external drive) I get a message stating that the catalog is corrupt and needs to be repaired before LrC can open if I attempt to open LrC. after a short period of time, the message - and progress bar - go away and nothing else happens, i.e. LrC does not open although it shows it is running in the Task Manager. I then need to end the task using Task Manager.I have found that by pressing the Shift + Control keys while opening LrC seems to work ok with LrC using the current/latest catalog. Everything works just fine with all my edits, etc. still in place. any additional edits are saved ok when I exit and are available when I reopen LrC using the Shift + Control keys.I have attempted to fix the problem using all the recommendations on this site as well as Google, YouTube, ChatGPT, etc.
Hola!
I seek clarification as to whether it's possible to save text font, size and colour settings with a custom page? I have tried this and it seems the custom pages are added with completely different text settings to the ones I have chosen.
I have lightroom classic, screen shot with version 15.0 Camera Raw 18, I am creating a Panorama merged photo and then editing the resulting dng, I use the sky mask and change the colour as shown in the image, but when I export it does not contain the mask update as shown in the exported image I have tried numerous items online, including deleting the lrcstat-data file and rebuilding the AI and followed some online examples, I am not using Save original. I specify JPEG as shown https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pJyxRWpXzkpJZq21slrl2UXDe4A9Wimn/view?usp=share_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PtFZPRWO9kMRi8dVgwS06szTnIOgGK-I/view?usp=sharinghttps://drive.google.com/file/d/14trTrpJu2IzxYl88aQgBzi9DP7WSUsM4/view?usp=sharinghttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1_mIJX0Nkghk8h7yuaorkSIViW76VWoB-/view?usp=sharing ThanksSteve
I have been struggling for years to find a way of assuring that all photo text is uniform through the entire book. Doing this manually is inicredibly time consuming and not ideal. I would also like to ensure continuity of page text throughout. {The size of the font will be different to that of photo text}. I understand I should be able to select all text by going into 'Edit'. However, I'm unable to make thiis function work and every photo text box defaults back to another setting. I would welcome a solution. FYI I'm using a mac computer.
I upgraded to new Lightroom few days ago and it asked to upgrade the catalog. Most of the photos are still there, but some folders are empty.I still see folders in LR, but they have no photos. I clicked on "synchronize" and it see over 2000 photos, but sync does nothing, it says no photo to import and folder is still zero. How can I access my photos? What is wrong with them? I have big catalog with about 500 000 photos (many many years), folders by year "2024, 2023, etc" then folders by date (like 2024.10.15) if that matters.
So Im doing all my edits for a photo in LR Classic and once I am done I right click the photo and use the "Edit in" button to get into photoshop. The floor in the photo is dirty so I clean it up and then once im done I export the photo as a JPEG. When I go back to LR Classic the DNG is completely reverted back with none of my edits that I worked on. Why, please I am so frustrated...
Why is it not possible to update to Lightroom Classic 15.0 (18€/month) on my iMac 27" Core i7 4.2GHz with 40GB of RAM and 8GB of VRAM??? So, why should I pay for this from now?
Hello, I'm just curious to know how many years we will wait, if that day will come, to see the option to cull (browse/zoom/compare) the photos before to import them in the library. If I'm thinking at how many years we waited to see the just the LABELS in Lr... Please Adobe, also if you're earing much more money from the consumers take care for the professionals.
I Love that LR finally supports Fujifilm tethering with my GFX 100s, it starts quickly, and live view and autofocus works beautifully, It's great to have another option besides Fuji's Tether plugin. I have just one major bug that I found while using it: There is an exact, persistent 5 second delay between pressing the shutter button in LR and the camera autofocusing (5 second pause) then taking the shot, is there any way to get rid of this delay? It transmits the entire 100MP raw file into LR in less than a second when using the shutter on the camera or the Fuji App! Please can Adobe remove this unneeded 5 second delay? Also is there a way to temporary disable the new tether feature and use the Fujifilm Plugin like in the last version? Currently it kind-of works, but live views have to be synced, and it duplicates all the imported files. Auto-import with the separate app works, but that adds another 10 second delay to pull in each file after the shot! Also
Has the issue with color variances with Sony A1 II RAW files and Adobe profiles been resolved with Lightoom 15. Been following the discussions over the past couple of months and had the same issues of washed out colors using Adobe profiles. When I use a Camera ST profile there are no issues. Adobe Camera RAW for Photoshop noted "partial support" for Sony A1 II and I presume this carried through to LrC. So wondering if this has been resolved in LrC 15 and I can once again use Adobe profiles.
I'm so thankful that finally we can zoom while having the crop tool active. I have been asking for this for literally over a decade! Also being able to leave the crop active while switching photos helps my workflow a lot! There is one thing that has mysteriously changed for the worse when cropping though... Before V15, I used to be able press O until the grid overlay mode was active, then when holding alt/option I could use the scroll wheel to change the size of the grid (actively! every scroll click would immediately change the grid size while alt/option was down) In V15, if I use the scroll wheel in the same setting when holding down alt/option, nothing happens until I let go of the alt/option key, only then does the grid change size! This adds a ton of unnecessary work having to tap and un-tap the alt key with every scroll wheel click just to see the grid change ... it was much, much more efficient before in 14.X! Hopefully this small bug can
Is there a way to search for images in LR Classic by original file name? Thank you! Message was edited by: Akash Sharma
Hi there! I accidentally deleted some documents from my Macintosh HD to make more storage space. I use Aftershoot to cull + edit before opening in Lightroom Classic to finish + export - or I use Lightroom Classic to do all the editing. I’ve used Disk Drill to recover the documents but now I have all these random folders that possibly contain the Aftershoot/Lightroom Classic data in it. The recovered folders are on my external hard drive, but where do I save these folders on my Macintosh HD so all the links match again in Lightroom Classic? I back up all my RAWS to external hard drives(s) and import them to Aftershoot/Lightroom with these too. When I open Lightroom Classic to import more photos, I receive an error message (please see screenshot attached). How can I restore the folder that all my projects are saved to in Lightroom Classic under my user?
After trying to get the "Scripts" to show up on my Lightroom Classic menu bar per the "script add" instructions for Preview Extraction script numerous times. I need to know how to enable this so I can run the script and extract my previews. I have attached screenshot of the created folder at the location that opens up when i click the "Show All Other Lightroom Presets" button. I'm also wondering why "Scripts" doesn't show up by default in the menu bar.... if one didn't have any scripts there would be nothing in the dropdown no harm no foul.
When I try to open Lightroom classic on my desktop it gives me this error.Lightroom cannot create or open a catalog name LightroomCatalog-2-2-v10v11-v12-v13-v13-4-2" on volume local disk (C:) because the preview cache paths would exceed the maximum path length for your platform. How do I go about fixing this problem
My Show Folders in Subfolders is turned on. At first I thought that might be the problem because it wasn't. Turning it on didn't help.I'm manually dragging photos onto the map. I map the photos in one folder (I file by day) and when I go to another folder and open the map for the SAME LOCATION none of the photos I previously pinned to that location show up.Here's an example where for Day 1 I mapped 17 photos for one location. Then I go to Day 2 and open the map and none of those from Day 1 are showing up. I drag 3 of them onto that same location and it displays the total number there as being 3. I believe this is a BUG!It makes manually positioning images at the same locations extremely difficult because unless one is at exactly the same zoom setting on the map, positioning new photos at the same location is inaccurate ...particularly when the location has no visible name or icon to use as the anchor point. I tried calling Support but as usual the call gets cut off, especial
I just updated or have tried to update the latest LRC. I had moved my files from another computer to my new computer. On the old computer, my files were stored on a Drive called the E drive. On the new computer, it is on my D drive. LRC was working fine with this change. I initiated the update to the newest version of LRC. LRC screen comes up, and I get this message Cannot write to the following Directory EI am unable to open any of my files. How do I redirect the path to the correct location on the D drive?I am not very computer savvy. Thanks for any help!
Hi everyone! Out of nowhere, after I imported some new images into my catalog, LR started showing the folders twice in the Folders panel. I have one big catalog, ordered by YEAR, with each year's folder ordered by the date images were taken. Now, the IMAGES folder has been split into two panels, with some folders appearing twice in the original folder and others in a new one that appeared from nowhere! I tried to move those folders from the new panel to the first one, but LR says the folder already exists at that location, and in fact, the folder structure has never changed on my hard drive.I asked LR to synchronize the 2025 folder, and it has moved all the sub-folders to the new images panel. Has anyone seen this before? I was thinking of creating a new catalog, but recreating all the previews will take a long time. The two IMAGES drives in the LR panel point to the exact same location in my Synology drive (smb://172.16.65.2/Images), and the folder structure is shown below.Any help
cuando se pasa de LRC a PS luego de la exportacion los parametros de revelado en LRC quedan en cero ayuda gracias la version es v15.0
Lightroom Classic would greatly benefit from a “Select Similar” feature in the Library module. For example, selecting one screenshot (PNG or specific resolution) would allow you to quickly highlight all similar images by metadata or visual similarity. This streamlines deleting screenshots, burst photos, or selecting a set of photos to add to a custom library, or find a particular type of shot. It would save time and reduce clutter when handling large mixed catalogs. I work on Windows, Lightroom Classic version 14.4, and auto-import from Android as well as working with my camera.
When I export using the settings shown in the image, the export is fast but the "Add to the Catalog" action is EXTREMELY SLOW. You can't really do anything else in LR while the background add to catalog is happening because it resets everything after each image is added so you can't scroll or anything and when you are exporting 75-100 images it TAKES FOREVER and kills the entire efficiency of the process. My setup is very similar to OP in that I have an export preset to rename, resize and place files in a sub folder of original folder and then add them to the catalog. Again, the export happens very quickly but the last part of adding the exported images back to the catalog is excruciatingly slow. This has been a problem for a while but I really would like to get it resolved. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Adobe team 👋 First of all, congratulations on bringing the new “Remove Dust” feature directly into Lightroom Classic. It works incredibly well — the AI mapping and automatic cleanup of lens dust is a huge time-saver and very accurate. I’d like to suggest extending this feature to cover another common issue: dead or burned pixels caused by sensor damage. In my case, my camera sensor was hit by a laser, and now I have a few fixed pixel spots that show up in every photo. With a fixed lens, the position is consistent and easier to correct, but with zoom lenses, the location shifts slightly, forcing me to manually fix each image one by one. It would be amazing if Lightroom Classic could include a “Remove Pixel Damage” option — detecting and correcting recurring pixel artifacts across a batch of images. I believe this could be implemented similarly to the dust removal logic and would help many photographers dealing with aging sensors or accidental damage. Thanks for considering th
Hi, I have read more than a dozen of threads on the topic and still ...I have my sensitive photos in a folder encrypted with cryptomator. When I split my catalogue and create a sensitive photo catalogue in that encrypted folder LCR 14.2 sends an error message when I'm trying to open the catalogue. So even with the folder encrypted I can still see the previews in LCR.How can I change that? Many thanks!
Hi - i receive this error for about 20% of the photos I am exporting in Lightroom Classic. In Lightroom cloud for the same photo set, I do not receive an error when downloading but the same files that error in Classic do not download from LR Cloud. Classic throws this error: Unable to download original/proxy file Each file is then listed with (proxy_unavailable) next to each file. Any ideas?
