I just updated the lasted to LRC this weekend and now when I try to export a photo for a customer to my externals drrivee (84% available space)  I get this error message.  "there was a error writing the file (1)"   what the heck is going on?   What are my options to fix this?   Thank You!

Hi, When attempting to export files from LR classic (which I have done successfully for a long time), I'm now getting an error message: "Unable to export.  Failed to open Zerene Stacker, error code+ 512".  I have a Mac Studio M1 Max running Sequoia 15.5. When restarting LR and Zerene  and  restarting the machine didn't fix the problem, I have taken the following steps:  re-downloaded and reinstalled the latest Mac Silicon version of Zerene, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of LR classic. Then opened Zerene, then options-plugins--LR.  Then "create plugin in the standard location". No luck.    This problem seems related to a problem that was causing my internal hard drive to fill up:  the exported files didn't leave Application Support after they were sent to Zerene.  Apple Support told me to go to the LR folder inside of the Adobe folder in Application Support and delete the exported image files tha

Hi there! Recently my Lightroom Classic app has stopped working. I can't get it to open past the splash screen. I've tried reinstalling it, installing older versions (13.0.2, 13.0, 12.5.1), comletely uninstalling/removing all adobe products and files from my computer, reinstalling MacOS, deleting preferences, changing permissions of different folders and files, a clean Lightroom Install as detailed by Rikk Flohr in other community posts I read, etc. and the issue remains. I spoke with Adobe support and they had me see if I could open Lightroom Classic using another user account on the same computer, which did work successfully, and I was even able to open my catalog on that other user account so I know the catalog is fine, but I of course want to get it working on my normal admin user account. I can't seem to get in touch with any Adobe support anymore (long wait times for chat, and when someone does join, they immeditely leave the conversation without a word being said between us.) I'

Lightroom Classic is very sluggish when I create and move folders, image files, and images between collections. I'll move an image from one collection to another, and nothing happens—the image stays in the original collection. The same happens when I create a folder. Nothing happens, but after a period of time, the folder will appear. I don't know what's going on. It was working fine a few days ago, but yesterday and today it's not. I attached my system info, but I've not changed anything with my system. I did have a problem with Lightroom crashing and becoming unresponsive. I reset my Lightroom preferences and optimized my catalog, which seems to have fixed the crashing issue, but now I have this problem.

I have been a subscriber to the Lightroom/Photoshop package for over 6 years. I currently use it on two computers, a Mac Mini 2023 and for a little over 6 months, on a Macbook Pro 2019, Core I9 with 16GB of RAM. On this Macbook Pro 2019, Core I9 with 16GB of RAM, it is IMPOSSIBLE to use Lightroom currently.Over 1400% CPU usage sometimes, never less than 200% !!!!(see image below) I had an old Macbook Pro 2014, I7 with 16GB of RAM. Last year, with the latest versions of Lightroom, the performance was terrible, but it worked bravely. Due to lack of money (Brazilian photographer, poor South American!), I bought a Macbook Pro 2019, Core I9 with 16GB of RAM. When I try to use the denoise feature, the window pops up like it's going to work. The window is blank but has the option to press denoise. Then, another window pops up saying "denoise was not applied" under enhance errors. The image format is sony ARW. I've researched and everything that i've found says that it will work. 

Is there an Upper Limit to how many photos the Lightroom catalogue can handle?   I am having terrible performance issues. I can take a lot of photos in a day. 5000 plus. Lightroom just has a horrible time handling that many photos. You can't scroll in Library mode, it jerks and jumps around. Adding keywords is so slow.   I have watched just about every video and visited every page looking to optimise performance and I just get any work done without LRc slowing down and acting like something is wrong.   I've tested hardware, loaded all of the latest drivers, nothing improves the situation.    For example in Library mode, you try to scroll, the thumbnails distort and it takes thirty seconds for the screen to redraw. But even then, all of the infromation above the thumbnail isn't showing e.g. filename.   Thumbnails are SO slow to load. Ive tried creating differnt previews 1:1, smart, nothing works.   The catalogue is sitting on an internal NVME drive whi

Since LrC was updated to 14.4 (Windows 10) it is crashing when the right hand side scrollbar in the Print Module is used. It shows a white on black popup with Page 1 of 1 and then goes into "not responding".  Nothing else has changed on the PC.      

I am trying to import catalog A into catalog B, my main catalog, which is huge, but the process is omitting some of the images from A since they already exist in B.I want to force Lightroom to import them even though they already exist in B.  Renaming doesn't seem to help.  Does anyone know how to do this. (Why do I want to import pictures already in the destination catalog?  I want to preserve their edits.  But, more important, I just want to avoid the big job of hunting down all the pictures on the destination catalog and moving them to the folders I want them to be in.) Thanks allDavid

Hi, using LRC (latest version) stopped showing star & flag ratings in survey mode, all of the sudden, yesterday it worked. At the same time stars disappeared from my grid-veiw, but I managed to fix it from settings menu.  Not working when survey on secondary display, neither on main display.Any way to fix that? Screenshot attachedthank you

Lightroom Classic 14.4, Windows 11 I select two photos in the grid, then press C to go to Compare mode. The left photo always incorrectly says "Embedded Preview". Example:  Note the barn photo says Embedded Preview. Now if I swap places and compare, note that the barn does not say Embedded Preview but the Pembroke sign photo now says Embedded Preview, and it did not say that a minute ago before I swapped places.  Resetting preferences did not change this behavior. I also followed instructions to remove embedded previews by using Library->Previews to create new standard and 1:1 previews, didn't help.

Hello,A friend uses LR Classic on Windows and wants to make space on the hard disk. In the "Photo" drop-down menu and then "remove photo", it can only do so in the catalog, while on my mac or other windows, you have the choice between deleting in the catalog or deleting on disk.The question has already been asked here, but for deleting folders, collections or virtual copies. In that case, the purpose is to delete some photos selected in the catalog.How to get the "complete" popup window with the choice between deleting in the catalog only or also in the disk?Thank you

Here's a strange issue: There are certain photos not synced in my catalog. I add them to a collection that is being synced. About fifteen seconds later, they somehow disappear from that collection and therefore cannot be synced. This seems to be my first time encountering this. When I export images to do a focus stack in Zarene some of the images have a horizontal black all the way through. My last export was 50 images of which 8 had the black line. The images do not have the line in Lightroom. I have Sequoia 15.0.1 on a MacBook Pro with M1 and 16gb memory. Prior to installing the new OS I did not have this issue. So I am not sure if this a Lightroom or Apple issue. Thanks for your help.

First of all let me state that I am very new to Lightroom. When a friend downloaded a free trial I noticed that the font size underneath the histogram was much smaller than when I recently signed up for the monthly subscription. Could anyone please guide me and tell me how I can change the font so it's not so large. I also noticed when I'm using Lightroom in my college class it's much smaller also. I have a PC but that didn't effect the first time it was downloaded for the free trial. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am trying to remove reflection in Lightroom Classic 14.4 but the resulting image is just garbage resembling a horizontal planked door (best description I can come up with). Hello,I am using LR Classic 14.4 (build 202506051112-5918896a) on macOS 15.5 (24F74) on a Mac Mini M2 Pro with 16 GB unified RAM.The catalog was created several versions ago and has been upgraded multiple times to stay up to date. The problem is that, very intermittently, the cell extras in the Gallery view and the info in the Loupe view just go missing. No amount of pressing J or I respectively will show them. The metadata pane on the right, if set to EXIF, does show the images' data that should populate the cell extra or the loupe info. In all cases, the files in question are DNG files converted upon import from AZW files (Sony a6400). I am unfortunately unable to replicate this systematically, but it seems to happen especially right after I import images. (Also, I'm not sure if this is in any way related, but loading the previews from my SD card in LR's "Import" window is incredibly slow, even though the SD card reader is USB 3 and copying the photos is rela

Hola, tengo un problema. No veo igual una foto en la pestaña Develop y en Library. He aplicado HDR y Denoise y en Library y no se han exportado con los efectos aplicados. No esperaba este comportamiento anómalo y ya he entregado las fotos a mi cliente con estos errores. Qué está pasando????

Hello everyone, I have had a problem/error with the display of EXIF and IPTC metadata for some time now. When I start LRC, the metadata is displayed completely as usual. As soon as I import new photos from the memory card (CF Express) and convert DNG to the hard disk, the metadata is no longer displayed. This applies to both existing and newly imported photos. When I edit the new photos, this is not displayed (grid view and filmstrip). This also applies to the color mapping. Refreshing by switching on or off (eye symbol) does not work. If Only a restart of LRC is successful. I would have expected this error to be fixed with the new update 14.4. After I import images into LR, it appears to be darkening the image in the preview window. I've never seen it do this before. When I export the raw files - the photo is unaltered (not darkened). Why does it darken the image in the preview window? Note: I do not want to make any adjustments to the original. I want to keep the original raw file unaltered.Also, it it normal when exporting from RAW to RAW for there to be XMP files? I did not do any editing in LR, so I don't understand why LR is exporting XMP files? I just want it to export the original.

In the last few days I have been trying to compose some slideshows.  Staring with a nominal 5 sec pause for each slide I identify a track of about the right lenght then use "fit to music".  When rendered the music was stopping 30 seconds or so before the end of the slides.  I noticed that in Explorer and media player one track was reported as being 5 min 25 sec long but LR was saying it was 6 min 10 seconds.  This happened with other tracks on  another slideshows.  It seems LR is mis-reading the track lenght.  I am having to calculate the slide length manually to fit the track length shown in Explorer etc.  This seems to be a new problem.  Anyone else suffered?   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
